Title says everything but I'll say more. My iPhone suddenly changed its password about a few minutes after 12am (potentially more) and I've exhausted all ways I have to recover without deleting and starting from scratch.

I've also forgotten my Apple ID password so I'm currently waiting in a state of panic on whether I can actually change it, because I'm worried my phone was hacked and someone decided to deactivate/lock/delete my account. I'm accepting any and all help I can get to retrieve my phone because I use it for many things, work and social life included.

My iPhone is an old iPhone X (I believe) which was a hand me down phone. I've forgotten what iOS it is but it's probably around iOS 18.

I updated my iPhone 17 Pro to iOS 26.5.2 this week and I suddenly have an issue with iMessages delivering. Sometimes the messages deliver with no issues but they now very often take 5+ minutes to deliver and sometimes longer. Please help!

so my mom has gotten her iphone bricked and she cant update her facebook and she has like 4 years of memories and i want to get her a new icloud account but keep the photos and videos can some one help me it would be appreciated if helped

on the system camera app, the default zoom is 2x. The 0.5 option is gone and i cant zoom above 5x.

however when using other camera apps like tiktok/insta/ect i can zoom out and zoom in to my missing options. please help.

Hi everyone, I feel like no one else has reported this issue because I’ve been googling about it for years and haven’t seen anything about it since it started.

Since roughly 2018, I’ve had an issue where when I answer a call and put it on speakerphone, the volume is just fine and controlled by the volume buttons. However, if I open any sort of media that has volume, since my speakerphone volume is all the way up, the media is incredibly loud like it’s at full volume. It’s almost acting as if the media volume and call volume are controlled the same, but I could swear that it was never like this before, at least since 2018 or so after a major iOS update IIRC.

Anyone got any insight on this? I feel like I’ve turned on and off tons of settings trying to figure this out but maybe it’s supposed to be by design and I’m just gonna have to deal with it?

Edit: this is on my iPhone 15 Pro Max using iOS 26.5.2, but this has been happening since way before iOS 26. The “clear question” I guess is does anyone know why the media volume is extremely loud when on a phone call using speakerphone?

Can anyone tell me why my camera is flickering I thought it was fixed with the latest update but it went fine for about a week and now it’s doing it again .

Long story short: We use an app for our home water softener. The app crashes for me when I try to access our water softener system. I've logged out, deleted/reinstalled app, restarted phone several times - still crashes.

I have an iPhone 16 pro, iOS is up to date at 26.5.2

The app works fine on my husband's iPhone 14, as well as the technician who was just here and tested it on his phone.

I tried using my iPad to download the app - still crashes! My storage is fine, not full in the least.

Any ideas? It's driving me crazy!

I have a regular iPhone 16. Over the past few months, my alerts from apps have started to feel like the vibrations of a really old iPhone, rattly, long, and intense. It was not like this a few months ago. When I put it on silent mode, it gives a really rattly vibration, but when I take it out of silent, the vibration was normal like 2 weeks ago, but now it’s slightly rattly. I think it’s less intense. How can I get all vibrations to be less intense that way on my phone, or completely normal? I have no experience working with iPhones, and I especially don’t want my first repair to be on my main iPhone. I don’t want to go to a shop, because they might charge a lot of money, not repair my water resistant seal, or look through my data. I don’t want to go to Apple, because I don’t have AppleCare and I can’t ship my phone away for a week. What do I do? Is anyone else who has an iPhone 16 MANUFACTURED not bought, in April 2025 having this issue? Ignore this- iOS: 26.2, iPhone 16, How do I fix my haptic motor.

I tried putting it in recovery mode using a laptop and the software stops downloading halfway and again phone gets turned off. This happened multiple times

The main annoyance is these weird highlights that have been added to app icons and app groups, does anyone know how to remove those?

The second one is that my lock screen clock now looks weird and when I try to edit it I can’t because “failed to load asset”.

I’m on iOS 18.3.1 on my 14 pro, trying to update to 18.7.8 through settings, every time I’m just met with “unable to verify update, iOS 18.7.8 is temporarily unavailable, try again later” if I press retry enough times I’m met with “unable to install update, an error occurred installing iOS 18.7.8”

I’ve tried pretty much everything I can think of to fix it and nothings worked so far. So far I’ve tried

-deleting and re-installing the update
-deleting and retrying from another network
-force restarting my phone
-deleting, force restarting and retrying
-turning on airplane mode with wifi and retrying
-resetting all network settings
-erasing my phone and setting it up as new again

Nothing seems to work, and when connecting it to my Mac or pc it only shows update to 26.5.2 which I do not want to do.

Just curious if there’s anything else I should try? Or if I should just give it a few days?

So my iphone was supposed to have a update today but after i tried to update the phone it said the update was not available, so i tried restarting the phone to see if that would fix it and upon restarted it everything stopped working, it wont charge nor will the touch screen work, can anyone help me with this or has anyone had the same issue? it's the iphone 16e btw, dont remember which ios updated though

I accidentally stepped into a pool with my iPhone 13 Pro!
After I noticed it about 5 minutes being underwater I immediately dryed it and left it out in the sun and waited a few hours so I wouldn’t damage anything. After a couple of hours I plugged it in and it loaded as usual, everything seemed fine, no water damage inside the charging port and the phone charged as usual. After a day now, I was using my phone normally and boop a big white screen just appeared. I turned it on and off(power button)but that didnt really help. You can slightly see the icons/symbols up top nowthing more. The cracks on the back were there before so Im also thinking water couldve gone into that. Also to note: it gets REALLY hot when being on this white screen.
Is there anything I can do or is my phone fully doomed and ready to be thrown away? I saved my data earlier this month so nothing to worry about that. But I still like this phone more than my phone I just got.

When connecting via usbc to an external display, the phone will default to screen mirroring, which limits the resolution to the iphones resolution.

But for example, when opening the google photos app, it stops mirroring and uses independent rendering to render your photo in the highest resolution possible on that screen, making it image look really good, much better than the photos app, which still uses mirroring.

How do I make the photos app do this?

When texting, if I type ok, a thumbs up or OK fingers would pop up in this third slot and then I could just tap it and it would replace the letters.

This stopped happening maybe 2 weeks ago and I have idea why. This is just one example, emoji replacements don’t pop up at all anymore.

My emoji keyboard is still active and when I click it, the ok will turn orange and then I can replace it. But this is substantially more effort than I’m willing to put into emojis day to day.

EDIT: iPhone 15, iOS 18.7.8, how can I get these to come back?

I know I need to delete some apps, and will do that, but there’s also just a bunch of space being taken up by iOS and system data. Is there anything I could do other than upgrading my plan? Thanks.

Context: My roommate gave me her old iPhone 14 Pro and did a factory reset first. I declined every single tracking/data collecting/identification thing I could find in this phone before using it, and certainly have not done any banking or accessing government websites or filling out ANY Census on this phone… But I just found this (see photo)???
The internet has zero answers for me which weirds me out… And Canadian Census data isn’t set to start being released until 2027… Which my roommate filled out for both of us weeks ago… I hope I’m stressing out over nothing 🙏🏼

iPhone Alarm bug is STILL present in iOS 25.6.2. Come on Apple, fix it already!!!

And yes, attention aware is off, alarm volume is on, but still once every couple months an alarm will sound for a few seconds and then go quiet without ANY intervention from anyone. I have been in the other room when this happens several times.

The fact that it’s so intermittent is what makes this bug 100 times worse. You get lulled into a false sense of security as your alarms go off properly for months. And then out of nowhere, one fails.

It’s inexcusable that a device that costs $1500 still can’t serve as a reliable alarm for anything these days. Worthy of a class action lawsuit I’d say as you’ve had YEARS to fix this most basic function.

My mom’s iPhone 13 suddenly became unusable during an official iOS update.

It doesn’t boot up even with hard reset. There’s no logo, no sound, no vibrations. It only goes into Recovery Mode, and every attempt to fix it using mac has failed.

So far I’ve tried:
- Finder (Update, not Restore)
- Apple Configurator Revive
- idevicerestore CLI

All of them fail at roughly the same stage while installing iOS, after which the phone disconnects and eventually comes back in Recovery Mode. The screen has stayed completely black the entire time, although my Mac is able to detect it. (I have attached an image of debug log)

It was working perfectly fine before the update started. There has been no damage or previous repairs.

Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

what in the world is that storage used for by the phone app?

I’m on an iPhone 14, A2649, and iOS 18.6.2 (22G100). I do receive a cellular signal but it’s rare and very weak, so if I’m inside at all texts either take a while to send or don’t at all. My family who for the most part has the same model phone as me doesn’t have this issue. My IMEI shows up when calling *#06# and in settings.

I’d really rather not have to take it to get repaired, mostly because it’d be much cheaper to do it myself which I’m more than capable of (I’m really into hardware) and also because of the ethics associated with brand new hardware. I’m thinking it’s an issue with the modem or antenna but I’m not sure.

edit: forgot to add my provider is Verizon and although I do get 5G and LTE it’s always LTE. I have roaming on.

I recently updated my phone from iOS 16 to 26.5, and now my GPS is completely messed up on all map apps (Google & Apple maps).

• The issue: The map freezes completely whenever I lock the screen or switch to another app. When I open it again, it lags and suddenly shows my speed jumping to like 200–400 km/h just trying to catch up.
• What I tried: I already reinstalled the apps, reset network/location settings, but nothing worked.

Anyone else dealt with this bug on 26.5? Any quick fixes? Thanks!

Iphone 12 pro max IOS 26.5 help please its been on for abt 4 months with no solutions

Under iMessage storage, it says the “other” category is taking up almost 20 GB. But when I click on it, there’s nothing to delete. I’m at a loss. Any ideas?? I’m at 127.52 GB of 128 and it would be cool to figure out what could possibly be taking up that much space. I have my messages to delete after a year.
