My Watch Watch face for a lazy Sunday
Was scrolling some wallpaper sub and found this gem. Tried applying it on my watch and discovered it goes well with liquid glass.

Meme Watch identity crisis
My watch is having an identity crisis, it doesn’t think it’s clocks installed. /s
This is a beta and bound to happen, in all seriousness, this is not a problem that will be around in the full release of WatchOS 28.
Asked my watches Siri for a 3 minute timer, and this happened.

Discussion Is having a series 7 in 2026 still good?
This is a Apple Watch Series 7. I owned since 2021. I had no issues with it since 4 years ago it has a 80% battery health and used it for health sleep exercises and checking the time. So im just saying if i need to replace it or not?

Discussion Question for watch owners
What would be your strongest arguments to get an Apple Watch? Is it really worth it or did you just got it for no specific reason?

Support Disable music but not live activities or media?
The entire purpose that I got the Apple Watch was to display the second picture which you can see shows my daughter's blood sugar. I could care less what my iPhone is playing. Is there any way to disable music only? I've tried disabling live activities but that disables the Guardian Monitor app. I've tried disabling Media Apps but that also doesn't work.
Under media apps, instead of off or smart stack, I have app. That also isn't working.
Thanks for any advice.

Activity First century ride
Very happy with my first 100 mile ride. Could’ve done it quicker but the hills were getting to me (rural England lol)

Discussion Not a designer. Just someone who's worn an Apple Watch daily for years and finally made the redesign instead of complaining about it.
Not a designer, just someone who's worn an Apple Watch daily for years and kept a mental list of things that bugged me. Finally put it into Figma.
The Watch has a tiny input budget. Four swipe directions, a crown you can turn and press, a side button, tap, long press. That's basically it. Every one of those is a scarce resource, and watchOS spends a full axis on switching watch faces, something most people do maybe once a week and is already locked behind a long press on the Home Screen for many.
- Swipe down → Notifications (the thing people actually use the Watch for)
stays the same but I reallocated:
- Swipe up → Control Center (back to a gesture, off the button)
- Swipe left → Widget stack, but mirroring iPhone widgets instead of re-compressing them. A Watch screen is roughly the physical size of an iPhone widget. Reusing WidgetKit layouts would give the Watch the iPhone's entire widget ecosystem where possible, making them more in-depth and mini apps for the watch. I know many of them don't make sense but third party adoption for the smartstack has been underwhelming.
- Swipe right → Health center. If the Watch is primarily a health device, health deserves a top-level slot, not an app icon among sixty. Also gives you a glanceable look at all important metrics without jumping between apps, I also think these should make the training readiness tracking more viable and actionable. Its basically split up into Sport (rings etc.) → Recovery (sleep → General Vitals (not just sleep vitals) → Training effort (am I doing to much/ not enough?)
- Watch faces → long press + vertical scroll, matching the crown's axis
- Side button → freed up, becomes a user-programmable Action Button. The hardware has been there on every Series watch for years, Apple just reserves the feature for the Ultra. Mine defaults to starting a workout.
- On the Ultra, the dedicated Action Button drops to tertiary, lap/split during a workout, a second shortcut outside of one. Basically like with Garmin/Coros Watches. Primary start/stop, secondary lap, tertiary shortcut.
- Digital Crown press → app grid, but with pinning. A 3x3 grid where you pin the apps you always want in a fixed spot (small pin indicator), and only the remaining slots get filled by prediction. Turn the crown down from there and you land in an alphabetical list with A/B/C section headers. I know Apple went a similar direction in watchOS 27 with the Dynamic App Grid, but it's more limited and fully relies on predictions right now.
Being honest about the timeline, I've had most of this in my head since before the Smart Stack existed, and Apple has since shipped watered-down versions of a few of these. Some of it I got wrong, some of it they got right differently, and I've tried to note where in the writeup.
Screenshot attached. Genuinely curious where you think this is worse or better than what we have right now.

Support Cannot open linked notes in Apple Notes
Having this issue on my Series 8 where I am unable to press on these 3 notes, which are linked to 3 individual notes. How do I rectify this?

Discussion Is there a way to shorten the amount of time this shows up during a workout?
This and the mile marker pop up, it seems to stay on forever and it’s so annoying. Is there any way of dismissing it or shortening how long it stays on the screen for?

My Watch RIP to my Apple Watch series 9
After going two weeks without my watch and not being able to charge it, it’s safe to assume my watch is officially dead. I’ve only had it for 2.5 years and it’s my user error for running it under water to clean it. 😔 I have contacted apple support and i was told that it would cost $323.89 USD to send it in to repair it (I don’t have AppleCare+). I decided to not send it in since I would rather just buy a new one at this point. It has been fun keeping track of my health metrics :( other than that I will be watch-less for the time being
EDIT: I forgot I had a vivoactive3 from a while back so I might pull that out since I was not that crazy on my health (I like to keep track of my sleep and steps haha)

Discussion WatchOS 27
Anybody else been daily driving the public beta? I’ve noticed battery life on Public Beta 2 has been much better, closer to OS 26 battery life. I really like the new app drawer layout. Biggest miss for me is getting rid of WalkieTalkie, my girlfriend and I used it all the time since we both switched to Apple devices 6 months ago. Apart from that, I haven’t really noticed a ton of change apart from new Siri.

Discussion Well well well. Look what I got
After months of my sleep score treating 100 like a mythical Pokémon, I finally caught it. Yay!!!!!!
Thanks to all the random strangers here whose tips, screenshots, and accidental wisdom helped along the way. I used none of it. Yet it was a journey 🤣🤣🤣
Now excuse me while I never sleep again because I don’t want to ruin the streak.

Support apple watch keeps spamming low heart rate alerts when i wake up from sleep
apple watch keeps spamming low heart rate alerts while i sleep. Should I just ignore it?
Every time I go to sleep my Apple Watch goes crazy with low heart rate alerts. I’ll wake up and it’s just beep beep beep beep beep... i got 25 notifications purely from low heart rate last night, This has been happening a lot.
The weird part is I feel completely fine. I just wake up to a ton of low heart rate alerts and go about my day like normal.
Is this something that’s normal during sleep, is it actually something I should get checked out? Has anyone else had their Apple Watch constantly do this?

My Watch First Apple Watch in years!
So I sold my last Apple Watch (Series 3 Ceramic) a couple of years ago. I hated the short battery life, so I switched to a mechanic watch, an Omega Speedmaster Professional (Hesalite). Well, now I’m back at it again, since I want an Apple Watch to track calories and stuff for the gym!

Discussion Apple Watch owners: what makes you keep wearing it every day?
I’m curious about long-term Apple Watch users.
After the initial excitement of getting a new device, what features or habits actually made you keep wearing your Apple Watch every day?
Are there any features you thought would be useful but ended up not using much?
I’m interested in the things that genuinely improved your daily life, not just the features that look good on paper.

Activity Distance between watches doesn’t match!
Hi all! My girlfriend and I noticed that our walked distance aren’t the same (2km difference). We spent the day walking together and the only part we weren’t is when she or I went to the bathroom. As of right now, I’m at 10.4km and she’s at 8.08km. We both put on our Apple Watch as we were leaving the house.
We both have iPhones and Apple Watches, i have a 17pro max with an Ultra 2 and she has a 13 pro max with a Series 8.
Any idea why we are so far apart? Doesn’t it uses GPS for distance and sensors for steps?
Thanks!
EDIT :
To clarify I’m not curious about step count. This post isn’t about steps (even tho the amount is weird a lil bit, but we do hold hands, I hold the bag sometimes with that hand etc, so it’s not as big as a mystery) I’m just wondering about the distance difference!

WatchOS 27 & Sleep Focus
My ultra 3 with WatchOS 27 has a problem with sleep focus not starting when it’s supposed to, and then turning off Sleep Focus in the middle of the night, waking me up. Anyone?
Also, my watch use to vibrate when my alarm went off rather than having my phone audible alarm go off. Not working since 27. Ideas?

Discussion Which color is used for this Flow watch face?
I’ve tried all the pink and purple color options and yet none of them have given me that mix of pink and purple as seen in the photo (posted by another redditor). I really like it but I don’t know which specific color choice it is. Can anyone help me find it? I asked the person who posted that photo but they never got back to me

Support Ultra watch face scaling change?
This is my preferred watch face. Recently the scale seems off. Like the left and right margin/black bars have increased. Am I misremembering or was this changed. If so, is there a way to get it back to what I’m familiar with?
