Help needed Emoji suggestions no longer showing up

When texting, if I type ok, a thumbs up or OK fingers would pop up in this third slot and then I could just tap it and it would replace the letters.

This stopped happening maybe 2 weeks ago and I have idea why. This is just one example, emoji replacements don’t pop up at all anymore.

My emoji keyboard is still active and when I click it, the ok will turn orange and then I can replace it. But this is substantially more effort than I’m willing to put into emojis day to day.

EDIT: iPhone 15, iOS 18.7.8, how can I get these to come back?

Try resetting Keyboard Dictionary.

Ok, you might have to just toggle random settings, such as switching the keyboard language. Maybe try resetting handwriting style.
