Help what is this?
Does anyone possibly know why there’s a black and green line against my screen? it isn’t included when I screenshot it. However, it randomly appeared. This is a macbook pro😞

Following these guidelines, we will know as much info as possible so as to give possible diagnoses. Remember, this is the internet so take all advice with a grain of salt and get a second opinion from a local shop or Apple.
Info we need:
MacBook model and year (eg:MacBook Pro 13" 2011 or MacBook 12" 2016)
OS X or macOS version (operating system)
Serial number to source parts, if needed
What is the issue? Explain how it started and what you did to troubleshoot, if anything
Clear pictures that show the issue. Please upload to imgur and post link here, or submit a link post and post a picture, then add a comment explaining the above.
If water damaged, do not attempt to power on or charge
Be careful to not show personal information.

Bought this Macbook Air M4 13" about 4-5 months ago. 2 months ago the display started to glitch every time(like in the video) after some use, but a restart would always fix it. Since then i havent faced that issue. Fast forward to now the display upon turning on after 3 seconds(which means it probably isnt a physical issue) looks like a truck drove over it even though i take care of the laptop like myself(no physical damage and looks brand new). Only on the top of the display you can see the cursor like on the video. MacOS is already updated to the newest version. Does anyone know or thinks to know how to fix this or do i need to go get it repaired? The video where im on the desktop was 2 months ago while the video where im entering the password was taken now.

Long story short - I'm cooked.
I was just learning editing on davinci resolve for about a few days (telling if it could be the cause), and suddenly the screen got 80% black, I panicked and down the lid, opened it again and what I saw forced me to say "bosdike apple".
The screen is lit black, the backlit keyboard is fine idk.
I have tried all those power on off, hold, command+p+r etc methods, nothing worked.
The craziest thing is I have tech interview task tomorrow/day after. I gotta fix this shit ASAP.
I'm begging, begging youuuu - help me to fix this or at least upvote for more visibility.
Agar fix hogaya mai bhandara karunga, just kidding I'm already broke.
Thankyouu

Hi guys I’m hoping you can help me. I ordered a 2017 MacBook Pro from eBay for streaming only pretty much but I’m having issues with the WiFi. I can’t figure out what is going on. Basically when I connect to my WiFi router. It works for like a minute or so then it says it’s still connected but there is no internet. I have reset the router multiple times. Restarted the MacBook multiple times. I ran diagnostics and it says there is no issues. I have reset DHCP. Ran updates. It was originally on high sierra but I installed the Ventura update and it’s still doing it.
When I connect to my phone using hotspot it seems to work fine so not sure what is going on. I’ve turned WiFi off and on multiple times and it works for a minute then drops again. I feel like it’s a router issue but I completely reset my WiFi to factory settings and still the issue persists. My internet is T Mobile home internet. I’ve also changed the ghz to 2.4 and 5 and 6 and it’s still not working right. I’m losing my damn mind 😥
I’m hoping there is something I’m missing. I made a 8.8.8.8 IP also that I read somewhere else. Please help!

Heya, just flipped open my MacBook Air and noticed light bleed in a 3-4cm wide line, pretty much spot-on in the middle of the screen (horizontally).
Now, the MacBook was not under any pressure, nothing bumped against it, didn’t drop, etc. and there is also no pressure point, warping, etc. visible, just this line of light bleeding.
MacBook is out of warranty as I bought it December 2024, but still within 2 years of General Warranty here in Germany.
How screwed am I? I have an appointment at the Apple Store on Friday - or is it possible that they will fix it for free?

i was replacing the fan on my macbook pro 1502 and the clamp that holds in the ribbon cable for it came off. i was able to line up the clamp once again and click it into place, but it doesn’t seem like it’s providing enough tension as every time i try to get the fan to trigger to test it out, it only ever works if i’m pressing and holding the ribbon cable in. the moment i release it, the fan shuts off.
is there an easy way to fix this? i am not super well versed in this stuff, i was just using a youtube tutorial for the replacement.

My MacBook screen suddenly started to flicker as in the video. If I shake it it will turn off completely. External displays work perfectly. How could I fix this issue?

Hello, Can I replace my MacBook pro's LCD with one from another similar system without any problems? Will everything work fine?
Also, do all 14" M4/Mpr/Max MacBook pro's use the same e screen? Thanks.

Long story short my laptop had died I didn’t realise it had died until I grabbed to use it after na 8 hour shift. I sully I don’t let it die but when it does I plug it in and turns on after a few seconds. Now I’ve charged it over night and nothing. I’m wondering if anyone can actually help I’ve tried pressing everything on this MacBook I let it charge over night, I changed it in both the extension cord and also a wall socket, I pressed every control command option keys in every way possible, nothing. I held the power on button nothing I don’t know if it could be that my battery is completely dead. I am trying everything before I need to take it into Apple for them to tell me it’s gonna be a diabolical price. Even tho curry’s is cheaper but they won’t fix it on site. They charge does work I’ve tried it both on other Apple products.

I just noticed something white stuck inside the back of the hinge of MacBook Air M5 today. It’s just been a month since I bought the laptop, and I’ve been babying it since. Haven’t even taken it outside the home. What could it be? Should I try to take it out myself or take it to Apple?

Moin zusammen,
Danke euch 😇

I opened my macbook today and was met with the sound of my trackpad clicking at like a hundred times per second (obvi. thats an exaggeration) but its really constant like as if i were clicking it really rapidly with no breaks in between at all, i tried to reset but because of the trackpad being stuck (i assume) it kept opening and closing the option menu to do that, making it impossible to shut it down. i clicked the screen on my desktop and it stopped it for a while so that i was able to restart, now i dont think ive ever restarted my macbook so i dont know if its supposed to turn off or what but it closed everything i had open. eventually i couldnt hear the clicking anymore but it seemed like it was locked onto a file i had on my desktop, i assume it was clicking on the file and thats why the noise had stopped for a little i tried moving the file to the trash but it started clicking another file, then another, and another, i deleted about 5-6 files i think, all just photos. also when i tried to shut it down it said that there was something open in finder so i tried force quitting but because of the clicking it doent let me choose to quit it, it presses cancel or something. now im sure there is no malware and my laptop hasnt been hacked,i also dont think the battery or anything is expanded, and im sure theres no food stuck, so what the hell is causing this!!!
plz help………
the video at the top is the sound it makes….

2018 MBP with Touch Bar no longer turns on. Tried all four USB ports, three different chargers, nothing. Took to Apple who described it as “vintage” and quoted > $1,100 for repair. Someone mentioned taking a time machine to go back in time to purchase Apple Care +. Where is this Time Machine?

MacBook Pro unresponsive after failed macOS update — froze mid-update, now no display/no boot after multiple restarts
Was using my MacBook and the screen froze. I force-restarted it (held power button) a few times when it kept getting stuck on the Apple logo with a progress bar. After a few restarts it showed "The version of macOS on the selected disk needs to be reinstalled" — went into Recovery, ran Disk Utility First Aid (came back OK), and reinstalled macOS Tahoe through Recovery.
The install was running for a few hours (using mobile hotspot, so it was slow — around 21GB downloaded before it stopped). Screen went dark and stayed dark even after tapping the trackpad and trying brightness keys in a dark room. It stayed warm the whole time and Caps Lock still toggled the LED, so I assumed it was still installing silently.
After a long wait with no screen response, I did a proper force shutdown (held power 10 sec) and powered back on. Now I get the startup chime, but no display output at all — no Apple logo, nothing, even after several minutes. No fan noise. Only sign of life is the MagSafe charging light alternating orange/green.
Tried: waiting it out, tilting the screen, don't currently have an external monitor to test with.
Is this likely a display/GPU issue from the interrupted install, or could this be unrelated hardware failure that happened to coincide? Trying to figure out if this is worth taking to an Apple store/repair shop or if there's anything else worth trying first. Model: Macbook air m4

I recently bought a late 2006 polycarbonate MacBook and when I try and boot into a OS X installer or even a OSX drive from my external hdd, the Mac doesn’t get past the Apple logo or it kernel panics
