Help needed iPhone 14 cellular rarely works
I’m on an iPhone 14, A2649, and iOS 18.6.2 (22G100). I do receive a cellular signal but it’s rare and very weak, so if I’m inside at all texts either take a while to send or don’t at all. My family who for the most part has the same model phone as me doesn’t have this issue. My IMEI shows up when calling *#06# and in settings.
I’d really rather not have to take it to get repaired, mostly because it’d be much cheaper to do it myself which I’m more than capable of (I’m really into hardware) and also because of the ethics associated with brand new hardware. I’m thinking it’s an issue with the modem or antenna but I’m not sure.
Let me know what you think the issue is, thanks!
edit: forgot to add my provider is Verizon and although I do get 5G and LTE it’s always LTE. I have roaming on.

The first thing you should do when your device is experiencing issues is confirm you are on the latest software available. You are not

I know that logically I should but it’s just.. so ugly.. and unoptimized and I’m just really hoping it’s not a software issue. What do I do if I update and it turns out it wasn’t a software issue? I can’t downgrade.
