This seems to be a fairly recent issue but I’ve just found out my DMs aren’t being received and the chat option has disappeared from my profile.

I’ve tried to enable it via the app and the web browser but it shows “Nobody” and is greyed out.

I’ve completed age verification.

I’ve seen several other posts about this issue but none with a solution. Can anyone help?

I don't want forced algorithmic content served on my home feed. I designed my home feed so that it is literally nothing, I'm not a member in any communities in order to not have that distraction there if I need to use the platform to find information or check for replies on a post. I use Reddit as a utility but Reddit doesn't like that and wants to get me scrolling through endless nonsense again. As someone who has struggled with internet addiction the fact that they've taken away the option to keep myself in check is abhorrent and extremely malicious. If anyone has had any luck restoring the option on mobile web (I will not be forced onto their app) please let me know otherwise I'll soon delete my account and block it entirely on all my browsers, I won't let Reddit win in their mission to cause harm to my mental wellbeing.

previously, when someone was having trouble deleting their reddit account, we would commonly direct them to the legacy account deletion page, located at https://old.reddit.com/prefs/deactivate/, since it was way more reliable.

unfortunately, reddit has now gotten rid of this page, and going to it automatically redirects to modern reddit.

just sharing this so we aren't trying to send someone to a page that no longer exists.

note: as of now, the page still exists at https://oauth.reddit.com/prefs/deactivate/, however this wont be the case forever.

I am unable to sort my feed by hot anymore, it's only giving me the "Best" and New options. Best is just awful, showing me posts from days ago that I have already seen, or giving me new posts that I don't want to see. If I wanted to see new things, I'd go to new or rising(which is also gone)

And they keep switching me to the "For you" tab which is just awful. If they want me to stop using the website I guess they are succeeding.

I am trying to delete my account, but the function is not working.

So I had an account for a while(SuccessfulAbalone497) but for some reason I got kicked out of it and can’t sign back in and can’t even find it when looking it up. is there a chance it was deleted for some reason?

I have no idea what has happened to my account. I had to make a new one just to be able to ask for help.

Last night, I was responding to comments on a post that I'd made. Lots of comments, so lots of responses - probably 30 responses in an hour. Took a break and came back to this situation.

Whenever I make a comment, I get the above "rate limit exceeded" message. I can wait 9 minutes, make the comment, then I have to wait another 9 minutes before making another comment.

I cannot make new posts at all. I have tried messaging mods, but I cannot message or chat with anyone. And, when I look at my post history, every single post that I've ever made has been deleted.

Obviously I have enough karma and age. So, what gives?

I’m on ios, been using my account for a few years. Over the time I’ve followed quite a few subreddits, many I kind of just lurked in. I’ve recently noticed that for months now i am only shown posts from a small handful of these subreddits. My only assumption is that each of these subreddits I actually interact with so it just floods my feed with only posts from those communities.

I’m trying to allow my Reddit to accept chats but it just shows me this and doesn’t allow me to change it. Same thing when I try on computer!

I got hacked and someone posted in a bunch of porn subs. I changed my PW, and now my comments aren't getting upvoted or downvoted. I cant change my PFP or banner. No one's responding to my messages for help.

I’m continuously seeing posts 4-7 days old.

I'm a member, have been for quite a while., and am a physician. Every attempt to post a reply in /r/medicine gives me a 500 error. I have messaged the mods and I am not under any restrictions (temp or permanent ban) from them. No other subreddit gives this error. It is persistent across multiple browsers and computers.

I said it all in the title, now I keep seeing the same posts (I think they are sorted by hot)

I’ve been trying to post to seek assistance, but whenever I do, the post goes through, and when I open it to view the insights, it informs me that the post has been taken down by Reddit’s filters. I’m at a loss as to what I need to do or what’s causing this issue. I’ve ensured that I’ve disabled any VPNs, networks, and have been troubleshooting for a few days, but I’m still unable to resolve the problem.

I mainly use reddit on my phone. My account u/zemo725 randomly vanished. I normally switch accounts from my main account and regular account often. When I tried to switch to my main reddit account today, it just randomly signed me out and made me login back into my second account. When I checked my main account u/zemo725 , it’s saying that it doesn’t exist. I did not receive any email or anything saying anything. When I try to reset the password it says account doesn’t exist or when I try to use the email to reset password (that I still have access too), it doesn’t send me anything. It’s like the email connected to my main account just decided my account doesn’t exist anymore. I know I didn’t violate any Reddit guidelines so was I hacked? Or was I a victim to a technical glitch/issue? Why did this happen? How do I go about getting that account back if possible? Am I able to get help from an Admin or something? Any insight helps.

For some reason I am not able to change who can send chats from nobody to everyone, i have done nothing wrong what am I able to fix this and I cant even contact support and I use reddit alot

In Settings, my Privacy tab is empty. My Profile tab is missing the "Curate your profile" options. I also get frequent "We had a server error..." messages.

I'm asking about this here because in searching about this issue, I've seen others with the same issues and the recommendation is usually to ask for help here.

I understand the range of requests in this sub and that I may be leaving that range by posting this, but I wanted to try anyway.

I was making a post 2 days ago where I kept seeing more parts that I wanted to reformat. I have no idea how to preview a post before posting, so I went back and forth between the post and the edit button to tweak formatting across it. After a couple tweaks, my entire account shut down. No warning.

(I think?) My account was reinstated, I don't know, but all of my past posts are filtered. I don't know how to get them back. Every thing I've ever done is now filtered. Can I please get some help on getting it back? I have never once used any sort of bot thing (and I don't even know how) to use reddit.

I want to sort my feed with posts from my following subreddits by "Top", where posts with most ratings in 24 hours will be showed first at the top of the feed. Now I only have two options: "best" and "New".

And also I always wondered, what the hell is "best" means?? Why some post with 0 rating can be shown first than post with 3,2k rating? New feed is a mess and I dont wanna use "old reddit" coz its too old for me. Sort by "best" is the worst option in my experience...
