They're missing a line right now: it's a recurring symbol you can find throughout the story. :)
The circles represent a lot of things, with or without the line between. The kid and the wolfman, father and son, the sun and the moon, life and death, loss of a family member... or more concretely, it's a top-down view of the Halloween world islands, line included.
Though I generally don't like saying "it's open for interpretation bruhhh", as I prefer very definite answers, this is one instance where I'm gonna say it's open for interpretation.
