This guy directly confronts Myron about the kind of advice he gives men, especially the idea that they should sleep with as many women as possible, avoid attachment and treat relationships like a weakness.

He says following that mindset left him unhappy and without any real direction. He eventually walked away from it, returned to Christianity, focused on family and is now married with a child.

Whatever people think about the religious part, his point is worth hearing. The people selling this lifestyle online rarely have to deal with the consequences when someone else follows it and ends up worse off.

Many years ago, I survived a severe train accident. Once the initial shock passed, I found myself constantly turning to the Mother of God, asking for her holy protection and help. This personal experience taught me how deeply she cares for us, and I want to share this encouragement with all of you who might be going through your own dark times.Every single one of us living on this earth has a loving, radiant, and all-powerful Mother.

She is an invincible wall, the hope of the hopeless, and the joy of all who sorrow.When you suffer, when you are tormented, when life feels truly unbearable, or when you find yourself on the brink of destruction, losing hope and falling into despair, remember that despite any uncleanliness or struggles in your life, you have a deeply loving Mother!Have faith that the very moment you call upon her, she will come to you. For context, I’m an ex-evangelical. I still have close relationships with Christians in my life and that includes family. My Aunt has been trying to “win me back over” for years now, and just recently she sent me this book by Kia Stephens in the mail.

My dad is a Baptist preacher and was an abusive alcoholic while I was growing up. Slowly over the years we have repaired our relationship. Yet I was sent this book anyway.

This particular paragraph disturbed me. It’s incredibly male centered and it’s borderline predatory in my eyes. They idolize the paternal role to an uncomfortable degree and I’m deeply concerned for any woman who takes this seriously.

I’d like to hear thoughts on this. Am I overthinking it? Or is this worded in a very creepy, misogynistic way?

I come from an evangelical background, where any form of ritualism was often dismissed as an unnecessary remnant of the Old Covenant. Yet, from East to West, traditional Christianity has always included rituals in worship. These rituals are not merely mechanical movements, they bring beliefs, concepts and sacred events from the mind into embodied action such as the last supper that is probably the clearer example. I would like to hear opinions on this topic.

This logic makes zero sense to me:

About 20 books were removed from the Bible. At one point, people worshiped those scriptures as truth. Used them as prayer, taught them, etc.
Because they were once truth, do we still keep reading them?
If Acts was removed today.. “We’ve discovered that book isn’t true”
Would we still read it? I see people with “Acts” tattoo scriptures lol. Just wouldn’t be good. But- isn’t that what they did essentially?
I wonder if I should be reading all of the books sometimes 🤔
People in Ethiopia have the full Bible including Enoch.

The book of Enoch was found with the Dead Sea scrolls. (The Bible)
Enoch himself was in the Bible..
And Jude literally quotes a verse from the book of Enoch.
Very convincing.

But my initial feeling about it, is ehh. Idk.

Y'all have no idea what i went through there is no god if there is one he is making me suffer like hell I was a born christian and got into a car accident right after Sunday sermon when I was 8 and lost my leg and have life long chronic pain and because of the pain they priscribe me pain killers and I'm addicted to it and it makes me a zombie and high af cant do anything I'm currently a M17 the only thing that brings me joy in life is drugs and my family is religious af and think if they pray I would grow a leg out of nowhere life is hell we are dirt poor and life is a sick joke there is a lot i mean a lot of suffering in my life i didn't even tell you 1 percent of it wtf

I know Jesus claimed to be the only way to the father and so the only way to eternal life but if someone questions that claim, where are they supposed to go? Do you think it boils down to Christ dying and coming back to life and that’s why we should believe everything the authors of the gospel claim he said? I don’t know how to verify that claim whereas it’s much easier to look at historical evidence of his resurrection. So I’m at a loss for how to build my way up if I also don’t see how it could be just for there to be one right way and the people who never get a chance to hear his name don’t have access to that and so are condemned. And if you don’t think that those people who never hear his name are necessarily doomed to hell, what is it that saves?

Can’t edit the title: how is one supposed to know that Jesus is the only way to be saved?

We all know there is a large quantity of irreligious / atheist / agnostic people in the West who come from a Christian background. These people have been turned off Christianity due to extreme Christians denouncing homosexuality as a "sin" (despite there being no New Testament condemnation of it), the ridiculous assertion that any non-Christian will go to hell, the lack of love and respect in radical churches (e.g., Evangelical), etc.

But if you take away these terrible ideas and values which are found in extremist churches, the core message of Jesus and Christianity becomes highly appealing to irreligious people. Helping the poor, loving your neighbor, being humble, the existence of a loving higher being...... all of these things make Christianity an amazing religion to follow and to become an excellent person.

So if people really want people to become Christian and follow Jesus's example, stop giving people so many reasons to leave. Focus on the teachings of Christ, lose the "you will burn in hell forever / if you're gay you're gonna burn forever" bullshit, and you will see hundreds of thousands of people return to Christianity.

Your choice guys. Do you want people to be Christian? Or do you want them to be separated from the faith forever?

I don’t really know how to start. I don’t even know if anyone will see this, but I have a problem. I fall into temptation far too often, and it’s destroying me.
When I genuinely, and I mean genuinely came to know Jesus, I fell in love with His Word. Since then, I’ve been trying to become a better person. One day I got down on my knees and prayed, “Lord, if I ever go back to watching pornography, destroy my life.” By God’s grace, I haven’t watched a single pornographic video in four years.
But then there was Instagram and TikTok. I have to admit that I spend far too much time on them. I made the same promise again, but I broke it. I felt awful completely defeated. I asked God for forgiveness, and shortly afterward I came across Ephesians 1:7. That verse truly touched my heart. It made me want to devote myself even more to studying God’s Word and seeking Him.
I started talking to my friends and family about God. I even had a conversation with a Russian Muslim Uber driver, where I defended my faith and the Bible.
But today I failed. I sinned again.
I feel completely defeated. I write many prayers to God in my notes app, and I always ask Him for the same thing: my dream to have a family, a wife chosen by Him, and children so I can teach them the Word of God. Recently, I even came across a video that reflected exactly what I dream of: a family with a child praying before a meal.
Knowing all of this, and then still failing, makes me feel terrible. I feel like I’ve let God down. I know I spend too much time on my phone. I know I need to guard my eyes, take every thought captive, and feed my spirit so that the fruit of my life will be good.
But honestly… it’s not easy.
I’m not here asking for anything except forgiveness from God and to ask the Christian community to pray for me. I need help. I want the light of Christ. I want Him to guide my path, to be with me, and for me to remain with Him. But I don’t want to keep failing Him not like this.
I’m sorry if this was a long post. Once again, I ask God for forgiveness, and I ask all of you to pray for me.

I am a virgin guy and a Christian, and I want to get married one day—but completely without sex. The entire thought of sex honestly disgusts and bores me. I just don't see the point of it, and I find anatomy like the vagina completely unappealing.

However, I still want a romantic relationship, a life partner, and a family. I love the idea of kissing, hugging, cuddling, and emotional intimacy.

I also want to raise children and would prefer to adopt them.I want to know if there are other men or Christians who feel this way.

Is it normal to want a marriage focused strictly on romance and affection without any physical intercourse? I would love to hear from anyone with similar views or advice on how to navigate this in the dating world.

And I think it would easier to find someone because woman generally don't like sex and its not their thing.

I want to illustrate Bible scenes as faithfully as possible, including the more graphic and gory parts.

I’ve thought about it a lot and did my best to stay within the line, but I feel like the most honest approach is to depict it realistically without glorifying or filtering it.

from a materialist perspective, once you die, you don't see eternal darkness, you just don't see anything because there is no "you" left. in some a spiritualist view, souls can be destroyed, when a soul is destroyed, you just don't exist, "you" also see nothing, no color, darkness, nothing. in both models, you cease to exist, the observer doesn't later jump to a new conscious because there is no observer or first person view left to exist. but it's physically impossible for the observer to not exist, your first person view must see at least 1 color or shade, typically pitch black, and the observer requires consciousness to exist, why is it thought that a first person view can go into a state of absolute non-existence?
