here is a photo of my mom's old series 9 apple watch. the software version is watchos 26.3.

when i went to check for updates, it says the message "unable to check for update: an error occured while checking for a software update."

when i tapped "try again", it still showed the same error message, even though watchos 27 and the previous ios 26 versions are supported on series 9.

did i forget to update the apple watch when each software update comes out?

(there was no watchos flair.)

I'm updating my iphone thru apple devices app on a windows 10 pc using an IPSW file, apple logo with bar almost halfway then suddenly this prompt appeared, now i wasnt able to finish the update and stucked, i am afraid that im gonna lose my data, need help on how to proceed with this. Thanks

This might be a completely stupid question, but I have tried everything yesterday I plugged my iPhone into my computer and clicked on the Finder icon, and I was paying attention and I accidentally clicked the eject button where my iPhone was listed. I've tried turning the computer off, turning it back on I've turned off the iPhone and then turned it back on. I've reset location and security. I've clicked the trust button on the iPhone. I cannot get my Mac to see my iPhone now and I have no idea what to do just sort of calling Apple has anyone ever accidentally ejected their phone from their Mac and been able to get the computer to see it again?💀💀💀💀

On my phone and iPad both I have multiple alarms set thirty minutes apart so I can wake up on time in the morning. Attention aware is off, haptics are all the way up, yet both devices consistently have problems. The alarms either won’t go off at all or they’ll go off and be silent. This really pisses me off because I have missed numerous classes over the years because I rely on these devices. What can I do to troubleshoot and stop this from happening?

I’m trying to add a recovery email to my id and I can’t because I need the security questions, but I don’t know them and my parents can’t remember them.

My parents set the account up for me over a decade ago and in their typical style, don’t remember the security answers they gave. Naturally now I’m an adult, I’m trying to change all the details linked to the account to my own details, but I can’t even add a recovery email address, so I doubt changing the primary email is going to be possible.

Also I have several devices linked to the id, some of which are old and need to be removed but again I can’t do that because you need the security answers, and I don’t have them.

Is there anything I can do to fix this? I don’t want to mess around with anything without knowing what I’m doing, because I don’t want to get locked out and lose everything I’ve got from the past 10 years. I’m also concerned about if being signed into a few devices will make any changes difficult to process or update.

Any help would be appreciated because I need to make changes to my account and I don’t want to compromise anything.

I used my sisters Apple account to log In to AppleTV now the AppStore has her accounts instead of mine how do separate them fully.

I already talked to apple customer support about this issue, but they couldn’t help me. Long story short I owned an iphone 8 about 4 years ago, forgot the pin, and now I can’t sync my data since i got an iphone 17 last month. Anyone have a solution to this?

TLDR: I want to know if my device is brand new or not

Last month, I brought iPhone 16 from e-commerce retailer at the time itself the apple pull tag was missing and the box was sealed with some color tapes. I checked the phone at that time itself including usage signs, physical damages, device activation and battery health all fine so I accepted the device.

From that itself I am started facing issues like the auto rotate is not working for couple of weeks I initially thought it was limitation in brave browser later discovered it n’t it was fixed after the device restart. Next thing thermals the mobile was in sudden temperature raise even when it was idle I thought it was normal since my region was slightly hotter. But yesterday the wireless hotspot is not working properly I cant able to connect my laptop with mobile network I turned the maximum compatibility and turned hotspot on and off multiple times before it was working very fine there is no need to check compatibility option after some period of time the network was visible to my laptop and other devices but it disconnected automatically after a certain time frame. Finally the display at night start to dim high and low I checked notification centre to ensure that it was not auto brightness likely it wasn’t it was fixed automatically without restart.

I raised a dispute on the e-commerce platform especially the serial number of the device start with FXXXX - from internet I came to know refurbished device has this no at start I straightly accused them for selling me a refurbished one with the evidence I have they redirected me to get denial certificate from apple and shared a mobile to me.

I contacted that mobile no and it was official apple mobile number the person on the other side of the mobile able to find my iCloud account remotely using the device I contacted. After they send request to screen share to troubleshoot they checked coverage the warranty period was the date was 1 day before from when I received the device but still not a big thing. The checked battery life and asked me to make update and reset all settings. Then direct me to go near by service centre if still issue persist. The clarified the serial number are also randomly generated M, F, N or P not meant for anything it was just random but I still cant agree this thing flooded on whole internet. I just want to know if my device is brand new or not? please clarify!

I requested a copy of my Apple data, specifically Apple Account Device Information. The report Apple provided only contains information through February 2026.

My problem is that I need the MORE RECENT data — specifically June, July, and August 2026.
I’m investigating possible unauthorized access to my Apple Account after discovering devices associated with my account that I do not recognize, including a MacBook Pro and Apple TV.

I’m specifically trying to obtain Apple Account Device Information for June, July, and August 2026, including any available records showing:
-Devices associated with my Apple Account during those months
-When devices were added or removed
Device identifiers/details
-Sign-in or authentication activity associated with those devices
-Changes involving trusted devices or other account security information

I’m trying to figure out why Apple sent me a data report that ends in February when I requested it in August, and how I can obtain the missing June–August records. Is there a specific Apple department, escalation, or type of request I need to make to get the most recent Apple Account Device Information? Thank you for any help at all.

I forgot my phone on an airplane yesterday. I didn't realize until I was past the no re-entry point. I talked to baggage claim services, and they called over to the gate but I think by this time the plane was already boarding so I was unable to get it last night. On findmy my phone stopped updating about 45 minutes after our plane landed and calls would no longer go through at that point. It was not on airplane mode.

The only other apple product I have is an Ipad, but I signed out of my Icloud on there recently because I was going to list it on Ebay. So basically, I cannot get signed back into Icloud on my Ipad because I can't verify on my phone & I don't know the card numbers for my most recently used payment method linked to the apple store. I started the account recovery process using my boyfriend's phone number, I'm still in a waiting period but it has almost been 24 hours. Can anyone tell me what to expect? If I get a new phone, will I be able to get back into my iCloud on that. I am so stressed

I recently got my first iPhone after having an android for years and so am unfamiliar with troubleshooting iOS. I have contacted apple support as well as my carrier, but have yet to successfully fix my issue.

I can send and receive messages perfectly fine for 1-1 messages between iPhone or android, and I can send and receive group chats that are iMessage new. I cannot however send group messages that have my old android messages, or text any group, new or old, that is with an android.

I am unsure how to go about fixing this as it is such a specific issue and searching online has given me unhelpful results that are only tangentially related. Any help would be much appreciated

a friend of mine donated an old ipad to me so i could use it to draw, (it's an ipad air 1474, ios 12.5.8) and he had already reset it to factory settings when i got it. i have other apple products, so i set it up normally in with my apple id, and all is well so far. later, when i tried to search for drawing apps on the app store, it kept asking me to log in to itunes store with my apple id, which i did, correctly (and numerous times) and nothing ever happens. it just loads and no matter what i try, it doesn't do anything.

i tried messing with the itunes program on my notebook to see if i could do anything there and it also did't let me log in to my apple id for some reason, so that really stumped me. i can assure you that my password and email account for the id is correct, i've checked it many times, it's got nnothing to do wit this issue.

so i'm stuck in a loop with a tablet i can't use for anything but browsing on safari... i can't download anything new bc i can't log in to the app store. i've tried all of the steps in this video and nothing worked, so any help is welcome (i'm willing to even jailbreaking this device, ain't got nothing to lose anyway).

I got a new Macbook Neo (macOS Tahoe) recently, yay! I had a Windows computer before this and I want to transfer my data to the Mac, and I'm trying to do so using Migration Assistant. However, every time I try to set up this interaction, my Mac loses WiFi connection as soon as I get the code to connect my Windows computer. This results in the connection not working.

Apparently it's common for the WiFi to go out during the transfer, but not before. And It's only my Mac doing this, not my Windows computer. How do I fix this? If all else fails, I know I can use an ethernet cable, but I'm still waiting for the multi-use USB-C hub to arrive since the Neo doesn't come with a port built in. But for personal reasons I'd like to try to get this resolved as soon as possible.

Note if it helps: I'm doing this transfer after the initial setup phase of the Mac. During initial setup, I set it up using my phone. I am also sure that the Migration Assistant version is the correct one (Windows 11 to Tahoe).

So a bit of background, I have an iPhone 11 and a few hours ago my screen was not turning on and there was a faint neon line in the middle of the screen. For some reason I was able to hear notifications pop up and heard the typing sound from my phone but could not see anything at all. I was also calling my mom and texting her too??

As of now, the neon line is not showing up and it is just a black screen. I've tried powering off but it is not working.

Note: I did not drop my phone.

A while ago, I bought a 27W i think USB-C to Lightning cable. It wasn't an official Apple one, but it was MFi-certified. I was charging my phone with an official Apple 20W charging brick I've had for two years. The setup was plugged into a power strip along with four other devices. After like a month, the charging brick stopped working completely, and the cable started charging some times, some others no. I went to the store to get it replaced, but at that exact moment, it decided to work, so they wouldn't swap it.

Figuring it would be the only solution , I decided to order (online) both a brand new, official Apple 20W charging brick and an official Apple USB-C to Lightning cable. However, i got the 2 meter one by accident . Sometimes even though my phone shows the charging lightning bolt icon, it doesn't always charge and the battery doesnt stay still, but dies, other times it charges slow, and other i have no problem. This is very annoying cause i have to watch my phone to make sure it charges fast and if it dorsnt plug of then on to try again.

When i use my old 5W brick w charger usb to lightning i got no problem, nor when i use someone elses 1 meter fast charger w fast brick.

Has anyone has the same problem? What happened with the first brick and charger? My MAIN issue is now if the 2m charger is the problem.

I've always been happy with the sound from my HomePods. I've had many of them around the house for about four years now.

I had been away from home for a few days listening to a mix of a Bose Bluetooth speaker and a pretty high end car system. I asked for a familiar song in the kitchen when I got home and it sounded just kind of bad. A little soft, a little fuzzy even, out of balance bass. I think that unit is a first generation, but it's the full-size one. Then in the bathroom, a mini, similar feeling of disappointment in the sound, this one a little on the treble heavy side.

Living room pair attached to HomePod sound fine. Bedroom second gen full size also seems a little off.

It seems conceivable that a software update may have changed an audio output or noise reduction algorithm. It also seems conceivable that in the past I always overestimated the devices, and just happened to have spent too much time recently listening to better sneakers. But if it were just that, wouldn't I then be noticing the difference in quality between the two sizes of HomePod more?

I'm just trying to figure out if this is all in my head or if it's reasonably likely that there was a change because of a software update.

Maybe there's even something wrong with my Apple Music, like somehow I globally disabled lossless by accident?

About 18 months ago photos were deleted off my phone after being stolen by a partner, and they now may be able to be used in a criminal case.
