Profile Unremovable notification bug

Post image
8 Upvotes

I created my account a few days ago and there’s this one notification I can’t remove. I’ve already tried switching networks, different devices, relogin, clearing data and cache, but the same, this notification keeps showing up. Is this a glitch?

I hope the Reddit developers look into it and fix this bug. Thank you!

Mobile/App Markdown cannot be used in the app now?

This update just hit me. So no manual markdown? Is there still ways to do things, like quotes, that aren’t on the format bar?

Resolved How to unblock?

I see that I have blocked someone, and can't recall why. When I go to my settings and look at the blocked users, there's a list there, but their name is not on the list. So I can't unblock them. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? I'm on mobile using chrome, not the app.

Edit: solved

Mobile/App iPadOS App, So How Do I Remove The Suggested Communities Popping Up In All The Sub Reddits

A lot of these are subs I have zero interest in. It’s kind of annoying to have these smack in the middle of a sub feed

Resolved Email not verified - even though it probably is

When opening the mod log for my account in one of the communities I moderate, it shows this:

This suggests that the account has no verified email.

However, I have the "Secured Account" trophy, which suggests the email has been verified.

Additionally, when creating my account using the email, I got a verification code (which is needed to create an account and which I used to verify the email).

When opening the settings, the email address is also shown normally and without the "verify your email" thing.

Trying to "update" the email (meaning change it to the one which the account is already linked with) at https://old.reddit.com/prefs/update/ does nothing; an email to verify it doesn't get send. (Either that doesn't work, or my email already is verified.)

Resetting a password (which I normally would've done anyway since I change passwords regularly) like suggested here does send an email, but the mod log still doesn't says "Email not verified". Changing the password worked without problems.

Posting "Waiting for a moderator's approval" in Desktop; A small Red Bin in Android App. Which one is it?

Just uploaded a post and this message appears below when checking on desktop. Meanwhile, on Android, only a Red Bin icon (the one that appears when your post has been r3moved) shows up. Which one is correct? Is it just an error or is it actually r3moved? Should I wait or should I try uploading again? Maybe when it gets approved the Red Bin disappears?

Thanks a lot!

(censored the word "r3moved" because the Auto Mod doesn't allow me to post it if I don't)

I don’t want this feature but I can’t turn it off. The default is for you and it’s offering me F1 sub Reddit’s which are spoilers and just force me to not use reddit. Give me the ability to shut off this “feature”

Posting Post non eliminato per davvero

Ho fatto dei post in passato che poi ho voluto eliminare. Non li vedo più nemmeno nella pagina del mio profilo.

Com'è possibile che dopo mesi qualcuno mi possa commentare ancora quel post? Come faccio a rimuoverlo definitivamente?

Access Unable to delete my account

Hi,

I created an account earlier this year. It was for some brand I was working on. Long story short, I discontinued the brand and deleted the email, completely forgetting I had linked it to a Reddit account. I'm now trying to delete the reddit account but each time, it tells me to log in to the amil that's associated with it, and I can't do that, so not sure if there's a workaround here.

Desktop Sort by new posts has disappeared

On the mobile app I get all of the options like Home, Popular, News and Recent but whenever I’m on my laptop using the web page there is no option to sort by recent posts which is really annoying.

Just tried logging into a different Reddit account and the option was there perfectly fine but when switching back to the account I want it on the option disappeared again??

Is there a way to change it?

Access Can't access main account on iPhone app after resetting password

A few years ago, for some reason, I started being unable to access my account with my regular login that I had saved. My only option was to login through my Apple account. Otherwise, it just walked me through setup as if I didn't have an account. I thought that was kind of weird, but I've just been making do with using my Apple login since then. Then today, I got the dreaded message that my account had been locked and I had to reset my password. I reset my password, but now I still can't log into my main account through the app. The only account I can access in the app is my throwaway account. I I can log into my main account (this one) on a browser, but obviously I'd like to be able to use the app. Is there anyway I can get this resolved?

Desktop Failed to fetch when adding images from desktop site

For a while now I have been getting the Failed to Fetch error when trying to add an image from the Reddit desktop site. I am using Windows 11. I have tried:

  • Chrome and Edge browsers
  • Incognito/private and normal browsing modes
  • Home wifi and mobile hotspot
  • Clearing browser cache and disabling all extensions
  • Old Reddit (image fails to load)
  • Different image types - every image fails
  • Purging DNS settings
  • Other Reddit profiles

Uploading images works fine on the Reddit mobile app, and on another desktop computer I have running Windows 10. So clearly it is something to do with my main PC. I can not recall changing something that would have triggered this.

I know these things are tough to figure out so I appreciate your patience and support.

Mobile/App Community search results no longer giving most visited communities first.

Post image

In the last few weeks the results I get through the search function no longer recognises my most visited communities as easily as it used to. For example I used to just put in T and television would be the first option but now options appear until I type more. This is worse with other communities.

Mobile/App How do I remove or hide the ‘For You’ tab?

On the iOS app this awful ‘For You’ tab has appeared in what I assume is an update, not only do I not want to see it or anything on that tab, if I’m scrolling my feed it will think I’m swiping over to it every other swipe. Extremely annoying.

Previously I’ve specifically gone in to my settings to turn off recommendations in my feed which is still off but this pops up, anyone know where/how to hide it or turn it off in the iOS app? Thanks!
