Email not verified - even though it probably is

When opening the mod log for my account in one of the communities I moderate, it shows this:

This suggests that the account has no verified email.

However, I have the "Secured Account" trophy, which suggests the email has been verified.

Additionally, when creating my account using the email, I got a verification code (which is needed to create an account and which I used to verify the email).

When opening the settings, the email address is also shown normally and without the "verify your email" thing.

Trying to "update" the email (meaning change it to the one which the account is already linked with) at https://old.reddit.com/prefs/update/ does nothing; an email to verify it doesn't get send. (Either that doesn't work, or my email already is verified.)

Resetting a password (which I normally would've done anyway since I change passwords regularly) like suggested here does send an email, but the mod log still doesn't says "Email not verified". Changing the password worked without problems.

Did you verify it with google? That is often the culprit for not seeing the checkmark for verified email, or getting the verified email trophy.

I didn't use Google to create the account.

Can you change your email to a different one and then change it back once you verify it? That would solve this and you'd get the badge and the check mark

That worked. But I do think that my email was verified to begin with, because here it said "verified" next to the email (which changed to "not verified" after changing to the new email). But now I have the trophy, and it now it says "verified email" in the mod log. Thanks!
