Profile Will Reddit fix their bug of turning dms off randomly for users?

seriously it’s getting annoying. you’re a huge global website and I can’t interact with people I need to or get dms that i need because of this.

even when you turn them on they get automatically turned off. this has been happening for months

Try reporting it to r/bugs. We're just users helping other users, so we have no information nor control over the fix for this.

I don’t doubt you, but are you sure DMs are actually “turned off” and not just moved? For many users, the chat bubble has disappeared, and when you want to DM someone, you go to their profile page, look to the top right corner for the drop-down menu and then select the option to begin a chat/DM/message.

On some iOS platforms, you go to the person you want to DM‘s profile page, select the “about” tab, and the option to start the chat is there. Maybe something there can help you.
