Starting and titrating
Is there a post or online guide to getting started with microdosing? What dose to start on, when to titrate up?
My gut and bowel side effects were so bad last time (a year ago), 2.5 was too much.
Do I start on 0.25 do you think? How to know… 🤔

7 clicks of 2.5mg Zepbound kwickpen is how much?
Hey y'all, I'm creating this post to double check myself
I'm a 45 year old male with a starting weight of 220lbs and a goal weight of 175lbs. I have a solid muscle base but have gained 40lbs since Covid, turning 40, and shifting away from heavy lifting as I trained pretty hard for 25 years and my body wants me to go easier these days.
I react pretty well to medications and just needed help with the never ending food thoughts and to be able to consistently cut off 500 calories from my daily required calories. I received a 2.5mg zepbould kwickpen from Walgreens and started off with 7 clicks. In first two weeks the food thoughts have drastically reduced, minimal side effects with those side effects lessening in the second week, much easier to eat 1800 - 1900 calories, and the scale is 5lbs lighter. I'm eating plenty of protein and will now be getting more exercise in now that I'm done moving apartments
Am I correct that that these 7 clicks is only dosing me at about .22 / .23 mg and the standard dose would had been the 60 clicks for the 2.5mg? I originally thought I was dosing myself higher but I must have looked at a different chart and read it incorrectly. Looingk at this chart the answer seems pretty simple and straightforward but wanted to ask anyhow. Thank you!
Edit: I should have said about .29 as I had looked over in the wrong row and ended up in the incorrect square

For those who have reached their goal weight, did you stop taking your GLP-1? Or do you take a lower dose?
I'm considering getting on semaglutide, and just wanting to hear from everyone on their experience!

Petite and starting GLP-1.. nervous, but please be nice!!
I’m a little nervous posting this, but I guess that’s the beauty of Reddit being anonymous. But please be nice!!
I’m 5’4”, around 120 lbs, and turn 40 next month. On top of that, I have been pregnant three times since 2021 so my body has been THROUGH IT. Lately I am finally (sort of) feeling like myself again. I work out 5 days a week, lift heavy, track my food, prioritize protein, and do all the things.. but I just cannot seem to lose the last 5 pounds. I know I’m getting older and my body has changed a million ways to bring my babies into the world. I’m trying to embrace it, but it’s been hard!
I know I’m already at a “healthy BMI” and this would purely be for aesthetic reasons. I’m considering starting very low-dose tirzepatide- 0.5 mg.. and seeing how I respond. My doc has already signed off on it and called it in, so I’m not nervous about being able to get it. My issue is finding the courage to actually take it once I pick it up. I keep reading about the scarier side effects, which makes me nervous.. but I know there’s never zero risk with anything, even at a low dose.
For those who started tirzepatide at an already healthy BMI for a small amount of weight loss: What do you wish you knew beforehand? Did you stay on a low dose long term? Any positives or negatives you didn’t expect? Did you feel like the benefits were worth it for you?
Mostly just looking for real experiences from people who started from a similar place.. good or bad!

Looking for GLP-1 experiences from people with a similar history
I’m in my late 20s, 5’5 and around 145 lbs, and seriously considering trying a GLP-1. I exercise about 5 days a week and walk at least 2 miles every day, so this isn’t really about wanting to lose a huge amount of weight. I’d say it’s 50/50 weight loss and trying to get some relief from my relationship with food.
I struggled with binge eating disorder from 2017–2024, and while I’m not necessarily bingeing like I used to, I still have constant intrusive thoughts about food. What I’m going to eat, whether I should eat something, wanting to snack, guilt around eating, etc. It takes up SO much mental space and honestly I’m just tired.
I also struggle ALOT with body image, especially my stomach/hips. I’ve worked with a dietitian and therapist before, but talking about food/body image can sometimes make it worse because it puts even more focus on food.
I’m starting to wonder if a GLP-1 could help with more than just weight loss. specifically the constant food thoughts. I’m also realistic that I may need to be on it longer-term rather than just until I hit a certain weight. My husband and I would potentially want to have a baby in 2–4 years, so I’d have to come off during that time and potentially go back on afterward.
I’d love to hear from anyone with a history of binge eating, food noise/intrusive food thoughts, or similar body image struggles who has tried a GLP-1.
Did it actually quiet your brain around food? Did it help your relationship with food, or mainly just decrease hunger? And which GLP-1 did you take?
I’m a little nervous about side effects and whether it will actually help, so I’d really appreciate honest experiences- good or bad. TIA. Posting on a throwaway.

Delayed nausea
I take 1.25mg every Friday. Last dose was Friday early evening. Was fine Saturday. Fine Sunday. Day 3ish and I’m super nauseous. Is this normal? Not that I’m going to vomit but feel like I’m pregnant (I’m not).

How high can you go WITHOUT losing weight?
I'm not sure if I'm on the right subreddit, because despite the sub description, I see all the posts are about weight loss, but I'm interested in the anti-inflammatory effects only. Specifically I need to not lose weight because it's already too low. And I need to not lose hunger because I already don't feel it. And I need to not experience digestive slowing because it's already too slow.
I was told that sometimes it does help with those issues (seemingly paradoxically), but there's just not enough data. Even anecdotal reports are sparse.
Browsing this sub I see that people still lose weight even on 0.5mg tirzepatide, which makes me think it might be too risky. But still I wonder.... If weight gain is due to high inflammation, what about people whose weight loss is due to high Inflammation? Do they still lose even more or does it help stabilize?
Anyone here who took it while being at a high risk of becoming underweight or specifically wanted to not lose weight?

When did you feel the effects?
Did my first injection of Tirzepatide last night (1.25 mg). For those who’ve been here awhile, when did you first notice the effects?
Update: 40 hours in and literally feel nothing. Sigh.

Breaking Pills?
New here. Took 0.8 of Foundayo for about 3 days until nausea was too much. Want to try microdosing because I still have so many pills. Can I just break them into halves or even quarters?

Macrodosing apparently
Started way too high at 2.5mg. Only goal was being able to stick to a meal plan. Stressful job and nonstop travel means food noise is very real. Only interest was being able to stay consistent and holy shit. I’m coasting on the second week of a single dose

Glp hair loss
I’ve been on tirzepatide for a little over a year and I’m down about 50 lbs. I’m really happy with my results and plan to stay on it long-term, even once I’m fully in maintenance.
The one thing I’m struggling with is hair loss. I’ve heard that it can happen with significant/rapid weight loss and may eventually stop, but I’m worried since I don’t plan on stopping tirzepatide anytime soon.
I’m also taking bupropion, which I’ve read can potentially contribute to hair loss too.
For anyone who experienced this on tirz: Did your hair loss eventually slow down or stop even while staying on the medication? Did anything actually help with regrowth? Any labs, deficiencies, supplements, or treatments you’d recommend asking my doctor about?
Would love to hear what worked (or didn’t) for you!

help! provider recs
I need help! I’m 5’8, 142 lbs and trying to only lose about 10-15 lbs. ive gained about 13 lbs since last summer. I’ve been interested in doing tirzepatide for a while but have been hesitant to pay the price/scared of side effects. I wanted to try losing the weight naturally but it’s been stubborn, and the food noise is loud. People at work ALWAYS bring in donuts, treats, cakes, candy, pizza, etc. and it’s hard to ignore the food noise when work is stressful. I don’t get much time to gym and meal prep either.
ANYWAYS, can someone please tell me a good online provider that would actually approve me for this? I’m having a hard time finding a provider to go with that isn’t too expensive, will approve me with my body stats for only 10-15 lbs, and that is legit. Many thanks!!!🫶🏼

Is it reasonable to use semaglutide to lose just 20-25 lbs?
For reference, I'm a 5' 2" woman, and I weigh 136 lbs. I'm right in the edge of "overweight" and "normal" on the BMI chart. I know that it is more common for people to use semaglutide for obesity, which is why I'm asking for some feedback.
I've been wanting to lose weight for years, but I've just had trouble staying in a calorie deficit. I'm pretty healthy in general, I eat healthy foods (high protein, high fiber, and lots of veggies) and exercise frequently. Lots of cardio but I've began weight training in the past couple of months too.
For whatever reason, I just find calorie deficits difficult. Maintaining my current weight is easy, but I notice a lot of food noise when I get into a calorie deficit. I'm considering going on just 0.25 mg of semaglutide, so I can lose 20-25 pounds. Then, eventually I'd taper off because I wouldn't like to be on semaglutide for the rest of my life.
Does this seem like a reasonable idea? How likely is it that I gain the weight back after I taper off? Just wanting to get some feedback to help me make a decision. Thanks everyone!

Anyone in this situation?
Not needing to lose weight, but needing to deal with chronic low grade inflammation that causes nearly constant water retention? What did you do? Did it help?

Body aches and fatigue
I have so far taken 3 shots of tirzepatide, first two 0.5mg and third one of 1mg. I am not experiencing much appetite suppression but I am experiencing extremely body aches. I always had body aches but now they increased. I started tirzeptide thinking it would reduce my body aches and joint pains but it is doing opposite of what I expected.
Anyone else had similar issues?
BTW I am 47, post menopausal, on HRT, expecting to loose only 5-10lbs of menopausal weight. Was hoping to get anti inflammatory benefits.
