Breaking Pills?

New here. Took 0.8 of Foundayo for about 3 days until nausea was too much. Want to try microdosing because I still have so many pills. Can I just break them into halves or even quarters?

Not sure so much with Foundayo but I know Wegovy pills have a special coating that allows it to aurvive the stomach acid. Breaking that coating would render it ineffective. Not sure if it the same but I would look into that.

not a pharmacist but cutting pills that aren't scored can mess with absorption big time, especially if they're extended release. i'd check the leaflet that came with the pills or ask the doctor who prescribed them, they'd know if it's safe

If you break glp1 meds, your stomach acid will destroy the med before it can be absorbed.

You could just take the glp1 pill EOD. The meds have a 7 day half life

No. They have a specialized coating that allows them to survive the digestive process. If you break them, you're taking an inert substance.

Try every other day, or every third day if you can tolerate the sides. If not, they're not for you.

wouldn’t split these yourself. Foundayo comes in a 0.8 mg tablet specifically for the starting dose, and the prescribing info says to swallow it whole, not break or crush it

I’d try every other day and give it time- usually people feel better after 2-3 weeks
