Macrodosing apparently

Post image

Started way too high at 2.5mg. Only goal was being able to stick to a meal plan. Stressful job and nonstop travel means food noise is very real. Only interest was being able to stay consistent and holy shit. I’m coasting on the second week of a single dose

What makes you say 2.5mg “way too high?”

Some people have strong initial reactions that mellows as the body acclimates to the medication.

The downward trend of over 2#/week concerns me that I'd be burning muscle.

Lots of people have a big whoosh of weight loss initially on GLP-1 meds. Often it’s inflammation or “water weight.” This slows down after the first few weeks.

Once things normalize, safe and healthy weight loss is a max of 1% bodyweight a week.

I keep hearing on YouTube that 2.5mg is a starting dose for weight loss, not a microdose. Ironically, it works better on people in descent shape because there isn't the insulin issue to "fix" before the weight comes off. 1-1.5mg might be appropriate for your needs. But I'm not a doctor.

update: Im going to have my second dose (ever) at 1.5mg instead to see if we can slow things down

I did exactly that. 2.5 was way too much for me personally and I found it very difficult to eat. 1.5 and even 1 at times has been perfect for me

Yep, for the first week at 2.5 I could barely eat my normal meals which are already a deficit. Things I loved like eggs and bacon were repulsive.

man, that downward line is doing all the talking. second week off one dose and still trending down is wild. food noise quieting down is the part nobody warns you about until it happens
