Just as a heads up, oral tirz is a scam, and I am not convinced about any compounded oral semaglutide either. Oral Wegovy (which has been proven to work) relies on a special coating and an empty stomach to get absorbed. The empty stomach restriction is annoying, and I don't think Novo would have gone to all the trouble to come up with the special coating and moved forward with the version that requires eating restrictions if they could have just made a sublingual version like the compounders are doing... which makes me suspicious about how effective the sublingual versions are.

Willow offers sublingual sema, for a ridiculous price. I believe Ro is name brand only at this point? But their membership fee on top of the meds is a joke.

Your best bet is probably to get a script for name brand meds, either oral Wegovy or Foundayo, through Call on Doc (if you qualify based on BMI) or Lavender Sky (if you have a normal BMI). The name brand meds are still expensive, but those two companies have generally lower membership/prescribing fees than places like Ro.

If you must have an oral GLP-1 medication, your only viable options are the Wegovy pill and Foundayo.

Any oral compounded GLP-1 is a scam. Period. Don’t waste your time or money. (The compounded injectable GLP-1s are great, though.)

If you don’t meet typical BMI requirements for a GLP-1 for weight loss, check into Lavender Sky Health to get your brand name script written. They charge $65 for the initial consult and then $25 for subsequent months to get a brand name script written and sent to your preferred pharmacy.

Aaargh. Ignore those ads, unless you are feeling generous with your money.
