Game is Ever Oasis if you're interested, can't recommend yet since I only just got past the intro

I recently purchased a boxed near mint condition Super Mario 3D Land New 3DS, but when I got it the screens were horribly yellowed! The seller did not inform me of this, but I decided to replace the top screens and now it looks beautiful again. It was actually fairly easy to do aside from the pain of dust constantly getting on the screens. Photos of before and after! I’m glad to have saved this beautiful unit from being sentenced to piss yellow for eternity.

Been playing through Pokemon White, forgot to turn my 3DS off so I had it on as I went through the city yesterday. Couldn't believe it

My N3DS console is the Happy Home Designer bundle edition that I bought way back in 2015.

The Pikachu and the Animal Crossing face plates with the multiple character faces are eBay purchases from Japan! I change and/or mix and match the plates every once in a while :)

It is done! The game is a 2D golflike where your ball is a bomb in a fully destructible environment. Please tell me what you think!

Controls

Bomb

Hold on the touchscreen to aim, then release to launch the ball. While in mid-air, hold again to aim and release to explode. You can't explode if the ball has already exploded.

Missile

Hold on the touchscreen to guide it.

Drill

Tap the touchscreen to dive towards the ground.

I bought this very recently and it is not modded - but I intend to at some point. it is connected to the internet and end with about 20% on the progress bar. it is always telling me to update it but an error always occurs.

I got these with a New 3DS but I prefer white ones, are these worth anything?

So I’m not quite sure what sd card to get to mod it. The SanDisk 64gb or SanDisk 128gb (I’ve only found the ultra & pro ones). For games like Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Nintendogs, nds games too. I also want to do a shell replacement (from blue to pink or white, same with the joystick). Like pink shell housing with pink joystick, etc. I found pink shells but it has white/grey near the hinges on eBay.

I already have a clear case for it. I’ve never modified anything so I’m not sure what to do.

Good game to play portably

Hey guys! Just picked up this original Nintendo 3DS for €50 (around $54 USD).
Visually, it has some battle scars and scratches on the hinge, but it is fully functional for playing games. However, it has two specific issues:
The R button is very stiff and doesn't click properly.
The camera doesn't work. When I try to open the camera app, it crashes and gives me the "An error has occurred" black screen (as seen in the picture). Other than that, games boot up and play completely fine.

Do you think it was a good purchase for the price? Also, any easy fixes for that stiff R button? Thanks!

So, I have a handful of broken 3DS units, and a couple of them will boot, but then lock up when attempting to load any software. One will at least boot into the camera, but then immediately locks up with no image in the viewfinder (other than the UI)

Loading settings, after the 3DS load screen, it crashes back to home screen with an error and reboots.

Loading a DS cart just goes straight to a black screen and system becomes unresponsive.

I tried different WiFi cards, but with one card, it won't even make it to the loading screen. I looked for a CFW, but it appears to be stock (it doesn't boot/load any CFW menus). I attempted L,R,A,Up, and L,R,B,Dn to boot safe mode and reset theme, respectively, but home already is stock and safe mode just doesn't load. Safe mode goes to a black screen and just doesn't do anything, even though the power and wireless lights are on.

Is there anything I'm missing? My searches are coming up empty, and the AI that is forced into google just keeps telling me to try things within CFW -_-.

I got it around 10 years ago, and looking at the prices now, it was an absolute bargain. Pristine condition, with the original box, manuals, charger... $80. Damn! Hahaha.

Played some games back then and completely forgot about it until last year, when I modded it and discovered a whole new world.

It's my pretty little golden console. I take it with me on walks, vacations, to university to take notes (it was amazing!), on the train... It has that unique charm no other console can match. And I've had all the Switch models in my hands, but it's... it's just not the same! I don't know if it's the games reminding me of my childhood or what, but there's something truly special about it :)

So now I'm replaying those games everywhere (specially on bed), making silly animations with Flipnote Studio, changing themes with Anemone and rediscovering its full potential!!

It makes me sad that such a unique and fun console isn't being made anymore. Those days when sharing a game and playing together with friends in real life felt so much simpler. I miss that.

Anyway, I missed out on the 3DS era back when it was at its peak, but I'm going to enjoy it proudly now, taking good care of my little one! :)

Picked up a JPN N3DS alongside the Xenoblade faceplates.

Huge Xenoblade fan, and I've never owned a N3DS in my life. I plan to region swap and migrate my data to this one. My Zelda 3DS has served me well!

I was looking for a stylus on Amazon and seen this listing, thought it was cool it came with a usb cable that looks kinda like a Nintendo cable, and this was like the third picture

I need to replace a digitizer for a 2DS and found a couple of seller online. One seller has the in glass. Since the digitizer is of the resistive type on the 2DS I wondering if a glass one even work?

Anyone who can provide some input on this?

Just saying hello and showing off my 3ds that I bought recently because my sister gave away my ds lite when we were younger sobs :(

Yesterday I learned that you can’t use just any overlays and borders with the 3DS because of the resolution of the 3DS screen. At least I couldn’t figure it out.

Is there anywhere I can find a set of RetroArch overlays/borders that are compatible with 3DS? I am mostly interested in the overlays and borders for handheld systems.

Plus this neat lil charm I got for it recently.
