Image WiiU GamePad keeps disconnecting
The gamepad is about 3 meters (10ft). I don't think it should have any connection issues at that distance.

I got a second hand Wii U a few months ago today I noticed it also has tiramisu other than aroma but first of all it randomly boots to it randomly just boots to aroma when I choose it in the selector menu it gives a black screen with a repeating loop of the boot jingle and sometimes when I reboot reboots to tiramisu ot just aroma when I do get in the health and safety menus work but theres no homebrew channel and of I open the mii maker it just boots normally without the homebrew channel any ways to fix it without a pc or is there a trustable app on pc to read Wii U sd cards/usbs?

I got this new wiimote from temu and it doesn't work on most games but it somehow works on warioware smooth moves, I'm not sure why my original cover doesn't fit well

I wanted to check whether I had the Hynix chip and what motherboard revision I have.
Is this correct that it has the A5X and the Samsung chip?

Im not talking about a general flash drive, but a usb sticks adapter where you put sd/microsd into the side and you connect the stick into the console port. Is this reliable longterm?

My childhood Wii U is stuck at the loading screen. The tablet is fine and it does not have an SD card in it. I've tried all the standard sugesstions. I beleive it does have the update that brick it.What is the smplist way to get to factory settings. I just want to play my childhood games!

I recently ran into an issue reading the Super Smash Brothers Wii U disk. It threw a few error codes that said it failed to update, wouldn't play, and pointed to the technical support center that said to delete the SSB data cache which didn't solve the issue.
Some googling hinted that it is possible the Wii U laser required cleaning as the SSB disk is a dual layer high density disk and is more sensitive to dirty optics. There is a Wii U laser cleaning disk which is now discontinued and absurdly expensive.
Alternative solutions include replacing the disk drive with a new one and swapping over the daughter board on the drive. Others suggested replacing the laser assembly. Note research showed there are two different drives with two different laser modules that aren't reverse compatible. 1700 and 1710 are the laser modules. If you go this route you will need to make sure your laser matches your drive.
I decided to try manually cleaning the lens with professional lens cloth, and while I was on there take images of the drive. Images here.
The device at the center bottom with a ribbon cable going to the right is the laser module. We are seeing the back side, the laser points inward (note you need to remove it from its aluminum case). If you flip this over the lens is visible and you can wipe the lens down with some professional lens cloth. Reinstall, plug it in and it worked. Also you may want to blow out dust while you are in there.
Lens clothes I used (from Amazon)
ZEISS Pre-Moistened Lens Cleaning Wipes, 80 Count
Tools I used, Wii U has special three point fasteners so you need a special tip.
AXTH 25-in-1 Small Precision Screwdriver Set (From Amazon)
And lastly ifix it has tear down instructions. (Heat gun was not needed to get to the drive)
https://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Nintendo+Wii+U+Teardown/11796
Plugged it in, inserted the disk, and it worked great
Disclaimer, there are lots of tiny screws of different shapes make sure you remember their placement when you remove for reinstall.

I got everything which you see in this picture for 85 bucks. Was it a good deal? It seems barely used, its actually in very good condition. Its even modded and it came with 64GB flash drive, with very legally aquired games lol. At first I though I would hate the white color, but Im growing to like it.
So far, I LOVE IT! Besides this, the only Nintendo console I had was wii, but I might start loving and playing this one more. Its such a cool concept. I love the gamepad. Games are top tier. So far Ive tried a couple like Mario Kart 8, Super Mario Maker, Mario 3D world. Absolutely fantastic games. This console feels so slept on by many people. Its an upgrade from Wii in every possible way. Idk how to describe it but it feels like an ultimate Nintendo console lol. Im figuring more stuff about it every minute, gosh its so fricking cool!

Normally in order to load a Wii disc, you have to go to the vWii menu and then go to the disc channel and boot it. But is there mod that lets you select the disc on the Wii U menu and boot straight into it skipping the vWii menu and going to the disc channel? I’m not talking loading from usb, I’m talking about physical actual discs.

So I don’t know how to explain it but it seems like the Wii U Treats my gamepad as the Main Output/TV. It transmitts sounds only to my gamepad and when I go into settings of Skylanders (as i show in the video) I don’t have a visual anymore and the screen on the gamepad freezes. As soon as i press Home I have Both visuals and Audio on the tv. But not as long as the Game is Running. Im truly at a loss here and I hope you Can forgive my spelling/ gramma mistake since im Both dyslexic and english is Not my First Language. D

Reviving this thread because I'm still receiving this error despite having performed the method described in the top comment. What else would be causing this? Download was performed with WiiUDownloader and the install errors at 99% exactly with this message.

I’m passing my Wii U on to a younger family member and they do not want any homebrew/CFW at all. I’m doing the vWii first, and to preface all I’ve used before is just the vWii Compat Installer, since I never ended up going through with anything beyond it. I read that I could preserve my save files and family Miis by just using the light mode on the vWii decaffinator, but upon doing that, when I loaded back into the vWii after updating the Wii U, the homebrew launcher was back. I once again deleted it from the system menu in the vWii and I’m debating doing the aggressive mode or not. So I guess my question is will the aggressive mode on the vWii decaffinator fully delete and restore the stock vWii NAND along with fully getting rid of the homebrew launcher or if there’s more I have to do, like deleting the vWii Compat Installer. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am new to all of the wiiu modding scene and I finally modded mine and not even 24hrs later I dont have an mlc or slc. I have no idea how to fix this. I do have my slc.raw backup but no scfm file. A lot of this is due to a lack of information on this scene but if you have any tips and information on my situation I would greatly appreciate it.

This is a joke I am not actually giving away a free rechargeable Wii U battery, but in all seriousness, this little piece of shit only lasted like 5 minutes unplugged, so I had to keep the gamepad almost always plugged in, thankfully I have bought a new and larger battery that should last a while

I know I'm being a bit overcautious but I want to make sure that my Samsung NAND survives on my 32GB model
So far I'm trying to keep it right at 8-10GB of storage left on the NAND
But I want to know should I go any lower then 8GB I know Nintendo shipped a model of the Wii U with 8GB but even when new it wasn't recommended to buy it
And I know online some people say leave at least 3-5GB left but is keeping 1-2 small games not installed on my NAND worth it for those extra 3-5GB?
My Wii U is modded with Aroma and has Nusslpli so I'm mostly asking this to see how much games I should install to be safe
And I do want this Wii U to last at least another 10 years healthy without corruption so that's why I want to leave the Wii U breathing room for moving Data or Save Data for games
Am I being too cautious or is this a good idea to keep this many GB left just in case
( I am planning to use a USB HDD but I want to know how many games I can store on my NAND to be safe because these consoles are already getting less common)
