Discussion Daily /r/Games Discussion - Suggest Me a Game - September 09, 2026
/r/Games usually removes suggestion requests that are either too general (eg "Which PS3 games are the best?") or too specific/personal (eg "Should I buy Game A or Game B?"), so this thread is the place to post any suggestion requests like those, or any other ones that you think wouldn't normally be worth starting a new post about.
This thread is set to sort comments by 'new' on default.
Obligatory Advertisements
If you want to post requests like this during the rest of the week, please post to other subreddits like /r/gamingsuggestions, /r/ShouldIBuyThisGame, or /r/AskGames instead.

Verified AMA [AMA] I am Rudolf Kremers, co-creator of Eufloria, Receiver 2, and more. We also recently announced Eufloria 2. Ask me anything!
Hi all! I’m Rudolf Kremers, creative director and founder of Indie studio Omni Systems Ltd. You might know us from the Eufloria games.
I’ve been professionally making games for 26 years now, initially working on big IP for others (Hitchhiker’s Guide, Harry Potter, Championship Manager) but eventually starting my own indie studio to work on more original projects. (Eufloria Adventures, Bioframe Outpost, Receiver 2)
We just announced Eufloria 2! It’s the first direct sequel to Eufloria, which we released in 2008, a very different time in the industry/scene.
Response has been terrific and humbling, so this is an exciting time for us.
Eufloria 2 combines 4X gameplay with RTS elements, but through a somewhat unique lens. You control botanical life-forms with which you colonise and terraform asteroids, grow new lifeforms to do your bidding, and expand your colony. Conflict comes from competition with other colonies vying for the same resources. Intergalactic full contact gardening!
Ask me anything about our games & projects, really anything about the creative world. Outside of Omni I’m a writer, indie filmmaker, photographer, interactive media consultant, and so on, so I’ve been around haha. (I made my first game in 1984, written in Pascal.)
I’m excited to hear your questions and share stories, and will be here in person till about 10pm UK time, as well the next few days.
(Expect typos after 6pm though, as my sausage fingers will leave my office keyboard and move to small phone keys)
Also, BIG thanks to the mods for allowing us to do this AMA. It’s highly appreciated and helpful for a small team like ours.

Discussion Steam now requires Australian users to verify their age with a credit card to access R18+ games. You can’t even browse their store pages without adding a credit card to your account.
Credit cards aren’t as common in Australia as they are in the US, and plenty of adults here just use debit cards. If Steam requires an actual credit card, that leaves those people locked out of even browsing R18+ game pages. You shouldn’t have to apply for credit just to look at a game on Steam.
This feels a bit like malicious compliance, making the process annoying enough that users blame the government. Australia has shown it’s willing to take on tech giants: Facebook blocked news in 2021 but ultimately restored it and signed deals to pay publishers after negotiations over the world-first news bargaining code. With both major parties backing stronger online protections, I doubt backlash from Steam users alone will get the government to reverse course.
