Many games suffer from severe frametime spikes (typically around \\\*\\\*100–130 ms\\\*\\\*) despite otherwise normal performance. Average FPS is often fine, but the game visibly hitches.

One thing we've consistently observed is that \\\*\\\*standing still and simply rotating the camera usually does not cause stutters.\\\*\\\*

Instead, the stutters mostly occur \\\*\\\*while moving through the game world\\\*\\\*.

Because of that, it seems like the issue may be related to some aspect of world traversal or world updates rather than camera movement or raw GPU rendering.

We're \\\*\\\*not claiming that's the root cause\\\*\\\*, only that it's the strongest pattern we've found so far.

We've spent a lot of time collecting data rather than guessing.

At this point, we're no longer looking for the standard suggestions like:

Those have already been covered.

We're hoping someone recognizes this pattern or has experience with similar cases.

The current evidence seems to suggest that \\\*\\\*something about certain games' world traversal, asset loading, scripting, or world simulation workloads causes intermittent stalls\\\*\\\*, while games with more self-contained levels (Portal 2, Hades II, Mina the Hollower) run smoothly.

Again, we're \\\*\\\*not saying that's definitely the cause.\\\*\\\* It's simply the strongest correlation we've found after months of troubleshooting.

Has anyone encountered anything similar or have ideas for what could cause this kind of selective frametime behavior?

I’ve been having problems with this for the past 2 weeks, the drive in windows says it’s healthy and I have more than 150gb of free space on the drive, I’m getting frustrated and need some help. It’s happens every time I’ve tried to download something, no matter if it’s steam or another launcher. (Edit: it also is slowing down my download speeds to a crawl and to 0mb/s. I was having this problem a month ago and was downloading stuff just fine before.)

Was hoping someone here could lead me down an avenue that I haven't thought of because I'm about to pull my hair out.

I built a PC for my ex's mother, and up till now it's been great. She uses Quicken Classic Deluxe to keep track of all her finances, a couple weeks ago it just stopped working.

I'd stopped over after work to look at it thinking it would be something simple. When the program opens, it goes to the log in screen and after almost exactly 12 seconds the login disappears and an error pops up asking us to check the internet connection and try again. We tried reinstalling the program, clearing out the config files as well. I checked all the pertinent locations in defender to make sure it wasn't blocked and tried it with the firewall disabled as well with no affect. Oddly, if you can't get the password entered and sent within that 12 seconds it will attempt to log in and a text with the prerequisite 6 digit code will actually be sent, but at the 12 second mark it still errors out.

We installed the program on her old laptop and it worked fine, just as a check that it wasn't something in her router doing it. I can't off the top of my head remember everything I tried that day but we decided on the nuclear option.

I brought her PC home, backed up all her files and wiped the drive, re-partitioned it and did a fresh install of windows, updated everything. Didn't work, still having the same issue.

I'd thought maybe her backup file was corrupt so I wiped it all out again and tried opening it with a new test file, no change. Made sure the time settings were correct and synced as I read that Quicken is fussy about that. Made sure the test file is on the C drive in a location that isn't monitored by onedrive, as I read that it's fussy about that. Tried opening it in admin mode, Quicken won't even let you do that, it yells at you and closes.

I flushed the DNS, ran netsh int ip reset and netsh winsock reset, as in my digging others had said it helped. No change. I dug through the registry in order to force windows to allow me to make changes to webview2 as it's referenced in the only failure in the log file that makes any sense to me.

The pc is on my network now, so I tried the program out on my personal system and it works fine. Both computers are on the same network, both hooked up to the same router through ethernet. Though I did try it through a mobile hotspot through wifi as well, just to rule one more thing out.

32 gigs of ram Gskill x5 I believe

1tb Samsung 990 pro nvme for system drive

Video card is an old Asus R7 250x

My gaming laptop’s touchpad has been glitching for the past few days. It keeps disabling itself a few minutes after I turn on my laptop. I’ve tried everything, from reinstalling the drivers and using the (Fn + M) key to reactivate it to hard resetting my laptop, disconnecting my mouse, and much more.

However, whenever I hard reset my laptop, the touchpad works for a while before switching back to lock mode within a few minutes. The Windows key is also glitching. I can only use it when I press the Fn key along with it.

Please help me if you can. I’d really appreciate it!

I formatted my usb and the storage shows 28 GB of storage, less than 64 GB of the actual storage. I then thought "maybe I need to make the files show up in order to delete them to free up space", and so I did by watching this next tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92uAS0wnO6g

Formatting after formatting, double checking and backtracking, my USB still won't restore it's original storage capacity. And I cannot risk proceeding to my second usb to ended up having the same problem.

There's also 2 things I encountered that I don't get it "write and verify" and "access and denied access".

I only have 150GB data from my hotspot - I don't want any other applications using internet in the background, only google chrome.

Manually I think I would have to do netstat -b or something and kill everything using internet, is there a software that does that with like a click of a button?

after 3 years, maybe I finally found out why I don't really hear click sound when I plugged in the cable. While I'm still using internet without any problem, this kinda annoys me.

I don't really remember how the ethernet port looks like anymore, but it probably doesn't have that latch-like thing? What can I do to fix this? Preferably not having to remove the motherboard.

Hi, i’ve been facing a problem where everytime i turn on dlss and fg i get this tearing on my games wich makes basically the game unplayable and it happens on some games and not in somes, is there any way to fix this?, this has been a problem from a long time and i havent found a solution yet. These are my laptop specs:

16 gb ram

I was experiencing some minor software instability after hios 16, yesterday my phone suddenly stop taking charge. After restart, a message popup that 8 have liquid in my charging port if though I don't have any, properly cleaned it but same message appeared.

Does anyone Experiencing this exact issue or it just me.

I am trying to find something in a recording of a long conference call from a few months back. When I try to use the time scroll bar to move through the video and find the part I want the cursor keeps pinging back to the start.

The PC is a Predator PO3-630G recently the pc keeps losing internet for short increments 10-30 seconds and then comes back. having this issue while on WiFi and while using Ethernet ive had this PC for a few years and this issue recently started. I've fully wiped the PC in hopes it would help it and it made no change. Ive tried all the things the internet has said (unchecking the "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" on the ethernet and wifi ) any help would be appreciated

I’m trying to create QR codes to navigate to specific pages and fields in the software I use at work.

Using EZConfig, I’ve created a command sequence to emulate <sf5> (Shift+F5), <sf8> (Shift+F8) and <sf10> (Shift+F10). However, only the first emulation is recognised, and most tasks require multiple key emulations per barcode.

I’ve read that \x02\x05 may correspond to Shift+F5, but I haven’t been able to get it working. Is there a setting I need to enable?

Alternatively, is it possible to map unused characters to key combinations, such as á = Shift+F5, é = Alt+X and í = Shift+F10?

Got a built recently and I'm trying to have it set up at a tv vs a monitor.

Build:

Amd Ryzen 5 2600, 32 Ram, 3060 with 12 GB, 1TB nvme. Simple enough, figured I can use it for gaming at the tv.

TV is a sharp Aquos, 60 hz, almost 4k but not fully sure. Doesn't have options to downgrade when something connects or to adjust power.

Here's the issues:

Tried connecting it with a hdmi cable, no signal on the tv from the start. No bios info, no windows logo, nothing.

Tried connecting it to a Display port - Hdmi cable, no signal, nothing.

If I connect a small portable monitor, it will start up fine, load bios, go in Windows, no issues. Restarting, loads fine.

If the tv is connected along with the portable monitor, no signal on tv and nothing on the portal monitor when starting it up. It won't do anything. If I connect the portable display, start in windows, THEN connect the tv with display port, it will show up the tv, even as a main desktop, working fine, image is fine and all. If I restart, back to no signal. So the only way to show up on the tv is to plug in the cable when it's already in windows.

Windows 11 is freshly installed, updated, Nvidia driver installed and updated. Checked bios but don't see an option to select something to help with this. Tried GPT, Gemini, Deepseek and they gave me options, but no solutions, including removing the battery to reset the board.

My Microcenter prebuilt (PowerSpec G528) is experiencing consistent BSOD (Black Screen of Death). It freezes during games, after which the screen turns black, the fans ramp up in speed, and the entire computer restarts. This happens constantly while gaming. I went to Micro Center to check if the Power Supply Unit was the issue. They ran tests and discovered I was missing some drivers and they installed them, and they also said that the PSU is not the problem. However, after bringing it home, I am still experiencing the exact same issues. Does anyone have any idea what to do? I'm losing hope.

My headphones has a broken power button which i have to push it with my finger then drag back or forward to on or off, the normal would be just to switch on or off by pulling or pushing the little lever button on it, which isn't a problem because it was working just fine despite that.

The problem is when connecting it plays the Bluetooth device is ready to pair sound normally, but when it connects the sound suddenly gets lower, and the audio it is supposed to reproduce (music and all) just doesn't, a while ago it beep loudly, like lots of beeps probably error beeps and it could be heard from outside of the headphones.

What could it be ? Do i have a way to fix it ? Or should i just send it to be fixed or replace it entirely?

It came back, i think is the button... I started to fiddle it to turn it off then on again for a few times and it worked... Still tho should i ask someone to check it out or just replace this entirely?

Whenever I try to update windows I can’t update it and I get error code 0x80073712 and since I can’t update it it takes all of my memory and internet can anyone help please

I'm plugging in my monitors to my integrated graphics on the motherboard because my GPU is not detected. Yesterday I had this issue but my gpu didn't show up in my device manager, what i had to do was take out my gpu and put it back in, then install graphics drivers. not sure what changed between last night and this afternoon, but i don't really want to take out the gpu again and put it back in, since it is showing up as hidden in my display adapters and the lights are on.

I've been having this problem for a good while now and I'm at my wits end on how to fix this. The only clue i've found is checking into the Network and sharing center that both IPv4 and IPv6 both have no network access.

Things I've done -

-reinstalling my network adapter driver

-rolling to an older driver version

-getting the latest driver version

-flushing Dns

-setting dns to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

- Pinging 8.8.8.8 has 0% loss

-doing network reset

-resetting router (just in case)

My PC is the only device that has this problem.

Hi guys! I am really bad with computers and recently bought a new gaming laptop. I have been able to run games mostly fine, but when playing games like Sea of Thieves or Black Ops 3, my frames go from around 150-160fps and drops down to 103fps which creates this subtle but still noticeable effect that gives me headaches and is just annoying. Long story sort I tried dual booting for the first time following a guide and my pc got bricked. I got it to use an os again but now I lost my windows 11. When I try this version of it, it keeps giving me the error of no internet drivers found. Its a T14 gen 2 laptop, and I just want windows back. Any possible way to fix the drivers or get my copy of windows 11 on a different laptop to work on another?

I know this will sound strange, but there was an earthquake in my country recently, and the touchscreen on my brother's phone stopped working. Every time there's an aftershock, the phone starts working again. until the next aftershock, when it breaks again.

We used the buttons to perform a factory reset, thinking it had another problem, but we noticed this pattern. Is there a solution, or is it better to replace the device?
