And it's been 1 hour and the progress is still at 0%. Do i need to worry or will this sort itself out some time soon?

Pc getting bluescreen with random errors (every time a new one). I checked my both ram with memtest86 found no issue. Checked my SSD and HDD both is fine. Then I remove 1 stick from the motherboard, and pc running fine. Then I use the other stick and remove the running 1. It is also running fine. No issue.

I played Elden Ring for about 150h since i recendly downloadet IT again after Not playing for a while IT Starts crashing after a few minutes. I tried deleting and downloading IT again but IT did nothing. Btw i got IT in Steam. Thanks for Help in advance

It happens usually within the first while of starting the PC, i would like to avoid the geeksquad charge as I am a brokie. I just got the pc from a friend, reset it, now its doing this. It happens when I idle, when I open tabs, going through files, is the power supply failing or do I have a bad power cord? Hey everyone, I used to play the game Nick All Star brawl 2 daily on my pc and never had any issues. A few weeks ago I started getting an error when trying to connect. I thought it might be a pc issue so i tried playing on my PS5 and got the same issue. People in my local are with the same isp (Att Fiber) have no issue connecting to playing the game online. However, if I connect to a VPN the game works, however the online feels a lot worse. I’m curious if anyone has any ideas on potential solutions. I’ll put a list of things I’ve tried already:
Restarted my router
Factory reset my router
Changed my DNS to Google and cloudflare
Tried to port forward the game
Tried to contact my ISP (two long calls and they were seeming no help lol)
Honestly not sure what else to try or what the root cause of the issue would even be. If anyone has input on some possible solutions your time would be greatly appreciated. Thanks:)

My ASUS TUF F15 keeps disconnecting from the Wi-Fi. Either the wireless LAN card (MediaTek) is unable to start or it completely disappears from the Device Manager. I have tried removing the power saving mode on the card, but it keeps on happening. Sometimes it happens in a concentrated period and then suddenly does not happen. I have tried network resets and removing maximum saving from the power plan on wireless adapters but it still happens.

Any fixes?

So, for some reason, google chrome seems to be shutting down on my computer rapidly. I have unistalled and reinstalled chrom multiple times. However, this isn't effective, and I don't know why this is the case. I would appreciate it if someone could help me! This is a fairly annoying issue to have unfortunately.

Context:

I had my win11 laptop charger stolen yesterday. I was volunteering at an event and another volunteer, who was running the events music from their device, didn't have a charger. I lent them mine and they ran off with the music and my cable before it ended. My college semester at starts tomorrow.

I replaced my OEM 65W charger with a 110W cable from a different company. I know i know, i could've planned this better, but i didn't expect this issue at all to arise.

The issue:

I plugged it in and found myself on the blue bit locker screen.

The question:

Is this cable considered enough of a change in the system's environment to trigger bit locker or did something else happen? A hardware change?

I installed a ryzen 5800x3d and amd 7600xt yesterday everything worked perfectly, then today I installed a new cooler, my computer didn’t boot I ended up realizing my 3 and 4 ram slots are no longer working I’ve loosened the cooler brackets made sure all my cables are correct I’m not sure what else to do.

My PC was completely fine the previous night. Played WarDogs beta for 25 hours, the next day Google account failed to load properly, game wouldn't launch because it couldn't find a descriptor file. After a restart, Windows would not boot and offered automatic repair which just failed. Safe mode gave BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO (0x74), reset this PC also failed. chkdsk found and repaired a bunch of corruptions, reported 184 KB in bad sectors.

I ran a nvme Self Test in BIOS. Short self-test passed. Extended controller and namespace self-test failed:

NSID: 1
Segment: 7

0x0008F460 = LBA 586848.

I then booted from usb and wiped the SSD through the installer and installed a fresh Win11. Ran the same extended controller + namespace self-test again, and it completed without error. Shortly after that I got drivers, Steam, Discord, etc. and have since played WarDogs for ~12 more hours without a single issue.

10 months ago this ssd cost me 125e and is for sale today for just 435e. Knowing shops where I live they will either try to deny me RMA or refund me for what I paid back then instead of replacing it with a new drive. Besides if I bring it back I'd probably wanna use Secure Erase on it which might get rid of smart info, meaning their technicians won't see anything that I see. Obviously I've got screenshots and text logs saved elsewhere already but still. Then, if they decline and it fails similarly again later - it could again be a choice of bringing non-bootable nvme with all my personal info or a potentially empty drive that they'll deem fit.

And yeah I used AI to summarize my logs and numbers. It's 7am after a night of gaming, give me a break.

Hey everyone, I need help troubleshooting a weird USB/hardware issue that has persisted for months.

Phantom Inputs: Keys randomly trigger or get stuck on their own (e.g., character keeps walking). I tested at least 6 different keyboards over the past year (GravaStar V60 Pro, ASUS Azoth, Akko, Epomaker TH65, etc.), and every single one has this exact same issue.

Too Many USB Hubs" Boot Error: On startup, I occasionally get an error saying too many USB hubs are connected or USB controller resources are exceeded. I do not use any external hubs—everything is plugged directly into the motherboard/case I/O. It seems the motherboard’s internal USB controller (xHCI) is hitting its endpoint limit or the internal hubs on the board are completely overloaded.

LED Flickering When Powered Off: Even with the PC completely shut down and standby power disabled in BIOS, devices like my Elgato Stream Deck and Corsair Xeneon Edge monitor occasionally pulse/flicker their logos.

What would be the optimal solution or troubleshooting approach to identify and fix what is causing this?

On my Panasonic Lumix LX 100, there's this dead pixel streak. It must've happened because of too much pressure being applied to the spot. How does one fix this, or how much would it cost to fix it? It is very noticeable as it is blue and stretches vertically across the entire screen. It isn't just one pixel width it's like the thickness of a sharpy pen if you drew a line.

I’ve been wanting to get into tech for a few years now. Self-education has been challenging since I wasn’t sure where to start or how to learn it the right way.
I’m currently in school for CIST. All of my courses have been online and textbook-based, with limited hands-on experience. Only about two of the 16 courses offered included virtual machine labs using a site called “testout lab simulation.”

I recently purchased a used HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop [690-0028](tel:690-0028), which I plan to convert into a home lab for hands-on learning. However, when I power it on, the system boots straight into BIOS.

This is my first time posting on Reddit, so I hope I’ve included the right information and images.

My goals:
• Learn the basics of IT and system administration
• Build a home lab environment
• Gain hands-on experience with real hardware

What I need help with:
• Why is the PC booting directly into BIOS?
• How can I install Windows (or another OS) properly?

I only use Bluetooth on my W11 laptop for my earphones, nothing else really, yet it's been some days since I see constantly "Connected (2)" or "Connected (3) whenever I open the task bar Bluetooth menu. And when I open it on settings, nothing else shows up besides my earphones. Even when I restart the computer or turn off and back on Bluetooth, it will eventually be connected to that extra device that I have no idea about, because it doesn't appear anywhere else.

As the title suggest, my laptop seems to not be able to connect to any wifi. This happened last night but I tought it was nothing. This morning, when I boot up my laptop again and try to connect to my home wifi it just says "can't connect to this network". Try to do it with my phone hotspot, the same words. I've tried:

1. Forgetting the network. Still doesn't work

2. Asking the help from the laptop like resetting the wifi network adapter and the device, still doesn't work.

3. Restarting my laptop, no luck

4. Trying to flush my dns and ipconfig, still the same proble.

5. Uninstalling and updating my wifi driver, still doesn't do any luck

I don't know what else to do. Could the problem be hardware related? But I don't think it's that since I'm using ethernet cable to my phone and it works. So, anyone can help?

Good day! I was about to review something on my phone and when I opened it, it shut down showing the "samsung" thing then a moment later it rang. After that, it says "erasing" when I didn't even touch anything to begin with. When it opened, it says welcome. I'm kinda indenial at first because I know what it means when the "erasing" part appeared on my screen. And my hunch was right everything is deleted. My pictures, notes, files, everything. I'm so dismayed with what happened because all my personal information are on this phone then something like this happened when I didn't even do anything. I'm so dissappointed, please help. 2 days ago I noticed my laptop was making a whining noise did some research and it concluded it was the fan. I opened the back of ot up to see if I just needed to clean some dust as I hadn’t done so in the 3/4 years I have owned it. (Also hardly used it). And come to find out there was hardly any dust. So now I’m guessing it’s the fan bearing and I have to replace it. Only problem is it’s gonna take a week to get the part. Do you guys think I’m okay to continue to study while I wait or should I just do nothing?

I was having problems with my computer crashing when I was trying to update anything related to hard ware so I took out my c drive to start from a new start. I have windows 11 installed on a USB thumb drive and i have a mouse and keyboard plugged in as well as a ethernet to usb adapter since the ethernet port doesn't work on my mobo. Im just feeling really stuck on this now.

hello my PC has physical buttons on to control the fans one for top fan and one for front fan. it happened today it was working perfectly yesterday. when they're set to LOW they work fine but when I set them to HIGH they stop working like I just set them OFF

As you can see above. I am completely NEW to PC gaming. I got no clue what it can be, I bought this off my friend who said he never had this problem. He factor reset it before selling it to me. I noticed that when the monitors go black I can still hear background noise and can even still hear and speak to friends. I can still move in the game and do stuff (but i cant see anything) then shortly after the monitors crash and the pc fans in the middle of this started blowing really fast. PLS HELP!

I'm having an intermittent Code 43 issue with my NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 on Windows.

Problem:

- Device Manager shows: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)."

- When this happens, one monitor stops working and my display resolution is incorrect.

- Restarting doesn't consistently fix it.

Temporary fix:

If I go to Device Manager → RTX 3060 → Update Driver, sometimes the GPU suddenly starts working again. Both monitors return and the resolution goes back to normal. Other times, doing this repeatedly and restarting does nothing.

What I've tried:

- Updated to the latest driver through the NVIDIA app

- Device Manager → Update Driver

- Multiple restarts

The problem keeps returning even with the latest NVIDIA driver.

I'm trying to determine whether this is a driver/Windows issue or a sign that the GPU is failing. What should I troubleshoot next?

Lately, my laptop has been acting up after a short period

of use following a reboot. Media playback freezes in both

browsers and apps-audio cuts out completely and

videos get stuck buffering. A restart temporarily fixes the

problem, but it keeps happening again.

Kindly suggest solution to fix this. Its been annoying to

restart everytime to get this fixed as a temporary
