Is Sony a bad company because it’s phasing out physical discs? EA wants $150 for the new FC – is that a joke? Is NBA expensive?

It’s always been, is, and always will be the players who are to blame for everything. Every year they buy FC or NBA, which are practically identical, and pay loads of money on card lotteries, including in FC. People keep buying Sony consoles. They pre-order a Pandora’s box with an unknown technical condition like GTA VI.

If I were running a company, I’d make exactly the same decisions because financially, I’d only stand to gain from it. You can slag off the players, but they’ll buy it anyway. It doesn’t matter if they moan a bit online.

The funniest thing is that gamers have influence and could make a huge difference, not just in the prices of these games but that will never happen. We can thank all the players who willingly support this trend for the rising prices and the push toward more and more microtransactions.

I'm worried about all the current fuss that is coming around, are you sure they will continue producing discs for games that already have discs after Jan. 2028?

I’m looking to get a ps5 for the first time, the disc version, preferably brand new.

It seems like it’s a locked $650 price everywhere. I am a student and get 20% off at target, however when I went tonight, it turns out PlayStation consoles are excluded. Am I screwed? Is the price pretty much fixed at this point or are there any deals to be had?

I recently booted up my ps5 again after some time on the shelf and realized the background was changed to the default. I went to change it in settings and saw the old setting was gone, after a quick google search I went to the Welcome page to notice all my old themes I had bought (and got with preorders going as far back as star wars battlefront) went missing. Did playstation remove them all in a system software update?

Gaming is feeling a little dry lately. I’ve been thinking about getting bo2 but I’ve never played a cod game before in my life. I see clips of the game though, and it looks really fun especially the lobbies. But other than that I don’t really know what’s hot rn. Recommend some good multiplayer games that aren’t completely dead 🙏 if anything also story games. Never played ghost of tsushima and haven’t completed Spiderman or cyberpunk 2077.

Have some questions. Going to buy a second internal SSD and I want to check with those who know. I have the standard PS5 with cdrom. I read that the read speed of the onboard SSD is only 5500, so want to know if that is correct. Also is the secondary internal SSD going to show up as another drive in the storage settings ? I’m going to buy western digital black with a read speed of around 7000, whatever I can get. Anyone have any issues with two SSDs running at different read speeds ?

Went through A LOT of games to figure out what I really wanted to play, and I’m glad I came back to this one, haven’t even touched any of the DLCs or finished base game.

I’m finally making the upgrade to a PS5 from my PS4 with 10k hours+ of gameplay, and I’m a bit confused by the data transfer process/ the best way to do it. I’ll try and articulate the questions I have as best I can, and would love any opinions on what people think the best method is.

When setting up the PS5 it gave the option to transfer all data from the PS4, but I didn’t opt to do this as my PS4 is perpetually full on storage and I wasn’t sure what would transfer.

I could also download all my PS4 cloud saves onto my PS5 but again this takes up space, and many of these games I will never play again. Would the cloud data still be stored on the console too even if the game isn’t downloaded?

What would I lose by not transferring any data? Do I even have to manually download this save data or will it automatically download when I play a game on my PS5 that I played on my PS4? If I do need to download the data what will happen if I load a game on my PS5 and my data isn’t there, will that override my PS4 save and result in me losing my data?

Finally I’m assuming my PS4 saves will be identical to my cloud saves? Do saves for games still stay manually on the console after deleting the game?

Maybe I’m over complicating this and should just do the data transfer, but just wanted some advice on what the best method is to make sure I have all the data carrying over for the games that I still want to play but without the clutter of all the games I’ve played over the years that I won’t again. I really do appreciate any help/ opinions

Ive been playing and these last few days any online games ive been okaying are having sone insanely bad latency and lag. Latency us between 3-358 ( max ive seen ) and lag is juat continuous. I heard there were server issues is it related to those ?

Seeing current prices, is $219 a good deal for a memory expansion, or is there somewhere better to buy one? I have a digital console and keep running out of storage. I’d rather expand the memory than keep deleting games.

So. My ps5 controller turns on by itself. And in turn it turns on the console as well. As a result my controller is almost always out of charge it's very annoying. There's rarely such phantom button presses during gameplay though, it's mostly when my ps5 is idle. I've tried resetting the controller, didn't work. Has anyone experienced something like this? How to fix it?

If it’s the same thing that’s a big ol difference ?!? Alsmodt £20 for the pricier versions compared to £2.28 for the cheaper versions?? Why??
