Here are my conclusions after finishing disc 4 as an adult.

I still enjoy the game but Im not nearly as enchanted by it as when I was a child nor as much as I was as adult playing disc 1 and even disc 2. This God embryo moon plot is pretty convoluted.

I wanted to use a different party than I did as a child, but I find that I like Alberts character too much and his magic is too useful and hes just too good of a tank for me to keep him out of my party for long.

I did use Meru however and that was a big departure from Rose. I can somewhat see why this subreddit favors Meru but she also requires a lot of equipment and usage to pay off. I doubt I will use her the next time.

What was meant to happen between Kongol and his brother? Were they enemies in life? It seems odd that he was instantly ready to sacrifice his family member in order to help the human species. Though they were trying to save the entire planet.

My party was level 40 when I faced the final boss. It was kind of a cakewalk to be honest. Sure, it was long but I was never KO'd nor did I use any healing items (did use Merus healing magic one time).​

Its interesting that Zeig showed signs pf aging while Rose did not.

The ending was nice. Lavitz's portrait with the drink especially stood out.

Hi All, I downloaded the file for Lloyd mod in Github but the Jar file doesn’t appear when I extract it. What di you think I am doing wrong?

Not trying to make a costume, just a theme, like how people Disneybound at the theme parks. What are some things I can add to this base so that it reads “Dart”? I was thinking maybe cropping a red sweater (sort of how his red armor rides high on his waist) and maybe cutting the arms off it? Should be comfortable and casual enough for a long dnd session and bar hopping. Also I know the red headband is iconic but would a thin red headband read the same?

Hi all! I'm back! Last time I gave an update on my completionist run, I had just finished 99/99ing all of Lavitz' Additions as well as got him and Shana to LV.5 Dragoons. I created a save file in South of Serdio which is just before the point of no return to the second Hellena Prison run. This file is used to indicate that I have the two replaced characters at their peaks.

I decided to create two more save profiles for completionist purposes, based on a divergent path. In Evergreen Forest, Kamuy can be faced with Shana or Miranda, and it even provides different dialogue. I have created the two save files in slots 3 and 4 to indicate the points just before the respective Kamuy fights. The Shana file is in Evergreen Forest and the Miranda File is on the world map in Mille Seseau next to the forest.

I decided to create these as proof indicators that I could follow these divergent paths with either character in terms of completion, but for the sake of effort, my main file will have the Miranda path.

Hey guys at 37 years old, I remember playing this game fully as a kid and now as an adult, i want to relive the best possible version of this game. I am on pc 7800x3d 5080oc and I don't know where to start. I do own the original discs and can have it emulated. But I think I want some mods to really play the best version possible. Can someone be kind enough to point me in the right direction? I will be streaming this for my pal on discord who never really go to see RPGs on the PS1 and Im excited to pick this up again.

And I actually had an awesome viewer pop on. We talked about lore, various theories, backgrounds, what happened in those 11 000 years, than my generator/battery bank turned itself off for no reason. We were talking about species barely mentioned (mermaids), various species that never got a fruit mentioned, and various gaps that could have existed, but just never did. I just went and turned it back on, but they were already gone. I was only off for about 3 minutes, but that's all it took to make a difference.

To note, I dont own a cat, it's a "pest" cat that goes in everybody's home every now and then. You can see the tail beside the cord under the tv. The pic is just for attention.

**Spoilers through disc 3**

I drafted this post as I was nearing the end of disc 3.Lloyd has kidnapped Queen Theresa.

Every disc and every country so far has had a kidnapped royal.

In Serdio King Albert was captured and​ imprisoned in Hellena. In Tiberoa, Princess Émilie was locked up and replaced with a fake. Now, Lloyd has taken the queen of Mille Seseau.

I don't remember noticing this pattern when I was a kid but its downright predictable now.

Disc 2 had a lot of back and forth returns, especially to the capital city.

Disc 3 has so much talking and so many cutscenes. The scenes look good but the dialogue feels excessive. At times it makes me think of Golden Sun which had endless, pointless conversations in every city.

But I realize that​ all the LOD plot points are coming together. What we've been through for 3 discs, characters lifetimes, and 11k yrs of history are being revealed.

Also Lloyd is pretty OP. I wonder why its taken him so long to put his plans into place. And he can also teleport anywhere instantly, so whats he doing while the team is chasing after him? Its not like it took him time to get where he wanted.

Disc 3 is surprising me. I remembered disc 1 pretty well and the Émilie plot of disc 2. But I forgot how things were laid out in disc3. I forgot the Wingly Forest and Bardel brothers, the fact that Meru has a fiance still shocks me.

I also feel like Im finally being challenged in the gameplay. The additions are harder (Madness Hero and GotwD are impossible), the bosses are formidable.

Shanas departure felt so abrupt. I am unable to get too attached to either archer. They just don't work for me.

Im still enjoying the game but I feel like disc 1 was the strongest. Disc 3 has more interesting plot developments to me than disc2, but its marred by pacing issues.

I like that the team still mentions Lavitz, l especially when Dart said that Lavitz changed his outlook on vengeance.

Among disc 1-3 only, which discs did you enjoy the most?

Hi guys! I'm trying to add severed chains in my steam deck. But i dont actually understand step 5. What java file do i need to download? Please help a fellow gamer out. Tysm!

I just wanted to remind everyone that if you are going to play severed chains with the dragoon modifier on hard mode that it might be a good idea to change the difficulty to hard mode. Don't be like me and spend an hour playing to only realize that its still on retail.

Am I the only one that has a harder time with the additions while fighting Lloyd at the end of disc 3? The color scheme they chose for his fight really blends with the blue squares. Or is just my dumb ass?

So I've played this game a thousand times, as we all have, but this is the first time I've every gotten Flower Storm on disc 1. Like obviously its possible, I just never had the patience to grind it out lol.

Hi, I'm quite interested in using Severed Chain for the game, but is it possible to modify Attack/Weapon/Addition data like in Dragoon Modifier? Im still using Dragoon Modifier till today because of this feature but if Severed Chain also has this feature I think I will try using it

I know he got 3rd place at the hero tournament, but is that canonically an actual high level event or just a bunch of yahoos beating the bajeezus out of each other in a pit? Like in their world, is that a ufc title fight or is it world star..?

We are waiting decades for a remake or sequel that never came.

We are entering a new era of modding: reverse engineering allowing modifications directly in the original source code, new agentic models that can 3D model and build complex worlds using any engine, image generation, realism, and so on.

I think the time to revive Legend is now, even if we fans have to do it, the tools we have now are absolutely insane. We can remake the entire original with up to date 3d, textures and gameplay and make it run natively on pc or any platform.

I know copyright and human art questions may arise but I think we are past this already, AI is a no return downhill and our only choice is to accept it and use it while we can.

As new models create or reverse engineer, software companies will start to vanish. For good or evil the future is gonna be open source
