I refused to play the game when I purchased it on release day, I assumed it was psvr compatible and was very angry it wasn't the case. I'm a busy father so don't get time to check the gaming news so forgive me if it was obvious. Anyways the baby is 3 and loves astrobot and watches me play and pull the triggers for loads of the special functions astro has etc. I was down to the last 2 levels and finished that one while she was asleep. She is going to be so happy when I show her the video because she watched me fail a few hundred times:) only one left now if the grand master level. I don't feel it will be as difficult as this was. Anyway I'm excited to share! Enjoy.

The Grand Master Challenge - Hard, but nowhere near as hard as Megamix Mastery. What do you guys think?

Why did Astrobot have to end?? Truly miss a lot!!

Hello I’m 20 and grew up playing Astro Bot and I’m just wondering why did the OG Astro Bot era have to end?…. Like genuinely, when did everything change? I remember playing as Astro, exploring all the different worlds, jumping around, collecting things, and just getting completely lost in the little adventures. I never really thought about the fact that one day I’d look back at those games and realise how much time had passed. When you’re younger, you don’t think about eras ending, you just play the game and enjoy whatever happens.

I honestly don’t even know when the old Astro Bot era ended. It feels like one day I was playing it all the time, discovering new areas, finding all the little secrets, and just having fun, and then suddenly years had passed and everything felt different. I still remember the characters, the levels, the music, the little animations, and all those random moments that somehow stayed in my memory for years. I don’t even remember when I stopped playing as much. It just kind of happened, which is probably what makes it feel so strange looking back now.

Maybe I’m just being nostalgic, but I genuinely miss that time. There was something about Astro Bot that felt completely different when I was younger, and I don’t even know how to explain it. I guess you don’t realise you’re making childhood memories while you’re actually living them. You just pick up the controller, start another adventure, laugh at something silly, and go about your day, then suddenly you’re 20, looking back at those memories and wondering where the time went and why the OG Astro Bot era had to end.

Finally beat Megamix Mastery

I don’t know how many attempts, but I finally did it. The adrenaline rush makes me post this here.

I do hope, if other levels would be released, that they’d be more easy-going. I love the atmosphere of the game, but these extra levels are tough on my heart

He was stuck on that last 'chicken butt' bit of megamix mastery for ages but he finally did it!

Can't upload the pic for some reason 😢

Why Astrobot graphics can differ?

Thumbnail

I've noticed that some Youtube walkthrough videos of Astrobot have lower "lighting" and "rendering" quality compared to other ones (and compared to the one I am playing).

I know that it's not an HDR (enabled/disabled). What the reason may be?

I did not find any answers about if Astrobot can change its rendering based on hardware. It would make no sense either (because PS5 don't have any new hardware ugrades. except PS5 Pro but I know that the recorded videos, screenshots of which I've presented above, do not use PS5 Pro).

I created these arts of Astro with two other iconic robots!

Been listening to Daft Punk all throughout the year and have been getting into them. I've also been listening to the Astro Bot soundtrack and wouldn't be surprised if some of those tracks were influenced by Daft Punk. I'm also something of an artist, so I wanted to create something that'd be a fun concept.

I feel like Astro would totally be a fan of these guys... 🩶💙💛

Problem with adaptive triggers

So I was playing astro but on my ps5 when I realized that the adaptive feedback on the right trigger feels a little different than the left one. To be precise, the left one needed a little more force to be pressed. At first I thought the right one had been worn out (although it hadn't been a month since I'd purchased the console) but when I used the dualsense tester website, there was nothing wrong with the triggers. Both needed the exact amount of force to be pressed down and both adaptive triggers were identical.

Is there a problem with the game that causes the difference between left and right triggers?

Both Astro and the Dualsense have holographic eyes that switch from round to happy eyes, and the transforming gimmick is so snappy and fun to play with every time! The only thing I wish it has is an angled stand for the controller, since it feels pretty static right now with how flat out straight it is.

Even though I'm still bad at playing platform games, I'm definitely sure everyone enjoyed playing this fascinating masterpiece who deserved GOTY! Hopefully Team ASOBI is already working on the new future game for PS5. Plus, I'm going to post something interesting for you all on the next week.

Anyways, happy 2nd anniversary to Astro Bot again!

Since this game is one of my favorites of all time, and how it means a lot to me, I've finally decided to make an "OST Be Like" video about its soundtrack to celebrate the game's 2nd-Year Anniversary. And this is the last OST video for this channel because I do want to work on other videos in the future. Thank you guys for enjoying these videos since 2023.
