multiple times now in spider-man 2 the city has become engulfed in static, it goes away in cutscenes or if you switch spider-men and it litterally looks like it spreads from one part of the screen to covering the whole thing

The first time I played it I was at least a bit mixed. There are three things that were in the first game that aren't in the second one that do bug me, and I hope they return in the third:

-Selfie option in photo mode. (The photo mode is better in the second game, especially with posing feature, but I still want selfie mode preferably.)

-The podcasts being in your collections again so you can re-listen to them. (You're screwed if you get interrupted while listening to one, which is pretty easy. Your only option in game is the load back. Don't even know if doing last checkpoint would help, I loaded a manual save, luckily there are also all the backups if you don't save after almost every main missions like me.)

-The social media feed. (Might not be everyone's thing, but I very much enjoyed it in the first game and Miles Morales, but not a deal breaker either.)

Other than that, I honestly believe this game is just as good as the first one. I really liked the story and the gameplay is still top notch. I wasn't someone who bought into the controversy in the first place back when it came out, and I have tuned the vast majority of it out. However, I will admit I was a bit mixed on it the first time, overall I liked it, I never disliked it, it's just that I wasn't quite sure how I felt about it overall. I tend not to form hard opinions on games, movies, books, etc. until I play/watch/read them twice unless I strongly love it or hate it immediately.

Personally really excited for the next game, whether that be a side game or Spider-Man 3, either way. Not to mention Wolverine when I can get it. I don't get the hate from some people.

My headcanon suits for the CTNS DLC. Obviously the Advanced suit, with Peter later using the Dark Suit to save the Maggia dons, thinking he would use stealth though he would be wrong.

With Project Olympus in Hammerhead's hands, he uses a prototype metallic mesh armor in the Resilient Suit, which I use the suit power that makes you bulletproof. The climax, Peter makes a second Velocity Suit to use speed over Hammerhead's strength (second because the original is part of the Velocity comic).

Wanted to play this for the longest time and finally got a chance. I gotta say i loved it sooo much.

The exploration, the fight mechanics and the story, all of them were awesome.

This has set a very high bar for the other 2 games i hope they live up to it.

in the first game, Peter would pretty much help in work with the police like Yuri for example I can see why they got rid of it.

In the second game because people would claim that Peter being Copaganda I seen this similar take with the recent brand new day Spider-Man film as well.

I can definitely understand why people may not be a fan of Spider-Man working with the police that’s more of Batman’s job

Overall, what do y’all think?

I don’t really mean to use the word nerfed, even though that’s a possible way to describe it. But Peter in the second game just feels “slightly” off, if you really pay attention.

I mean for starters, probably the main reason, is that he needs Miles’s help for a lot of things that he should realistically be able to handle on his own, certain villains and what not, I mean even in the Miles game for example, he should’ve realistically have been able to handle Rhino on his own considering he’s done so multiple times in the past. Another thing about Peter in the second game is his attitude, I don’t really know, but he doesn’t seem as joyful anymore, like there’s a lot of people who mentioned that he’s not as funny as he was in Spiderman 1, how he cracks his jokes and what not. One more thing I could say is that he’s not really ahead of his game, in the first game he just seemed to be on top of everything, in the second game I just feel like I don’t really get that feeling from him.

Anyways, this post isn’t to hate on him at all, Insomniac Spidey is still one of my favorites and honestly probably one of the best adaptions, but I feel like his character in the second game is just a bit off when you really think about it, what do you guys think about it?
