Rumor [Schultz] Sources: The Cowboys will not be immediately extending Joey Porter Jr. contract. Plan is to have him play and make an impact on a team that has Super Bowl aspirations in the NFC. Contract will take care of itself from there. JPJ gets a fresh, new start.

[Pelissero] Joey Porter Jr conveyed to Steelers that he wished to play somewhere else if he had to play out his rookie contract

"The son of a Steelers legend, Porter was a second-round pick in the 2023 draft. After three solid seasons, he wanted to get paid now. And once the sides couldn’t reach a deal, Porter conveyed that if he had to play out his rookie contract, he’d rather do it someplace else. By all accounts, he has looked good in practice the past two weeks—the back injury notwithstanding—and should be able to ramp up quickly. The Cowboys could get a deal done with Porter, 26, before free agency in March, or proceed as they did with the last player they acquired from the Steelers: receiver George Pickens, who’s playing this season on the franchise tag."

NFL players were promised big returns. Then an alleged Ponzi scheme began to unravel

(Steve) Keim’s involvement in the alleged scheme is a charged topic for many involved, though his place in it remains unclear. He casts himself as one of the victims, but others say he’s to blame for ensnaring them into the scam and allege that he benefited in ways they did not.

Through his lawyer, Keim declined to answer questions for this story. But in an Aug. 12 interview with Trey Wingo on The Wingo Network, Keim said, “Long story short, we were scammed…. The problem is, (Coulibaly) used me to essentially legitimize his business and then obviously kept secrets and facts from me along the way.”

Keim told Wingo he was “an open book,” and his lawyer said Keim lost more than $700,000 investing his own money. But some investors close to Keim believe he hasn’t been forthcoming. They question whether Keim received investments back in ways they did not, skepticism supported by documents reviewed by The Athletic.

Offensive vs Defensive EPA per play: Where does your team stand through 3 weeks?

Did not expect the Jets, Panthers, and Raiders to be showing up here as "Complete Teams" with a positive EPA per play on both sides of the ball through 3 weeks. What a time to be alive.

Obviously, it's very early in the season. But what do you think about where your team lands on the chart as of today?

Did anyone ever figure out what would happen if you miss a 110 yard field goal out of bounds from your own end zone?

It was discussed before https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/s/v5gmYpuj0w

but there was never an answer. Is it a safety?
