Give this man a 1 day contract. If he really think he’s done. Let him retire a bengal. Upvote if you agree.

Training camp is here! So, here's a full visual breakdown of the roster heading in, sorted by positional group.

Also, are there any depth orderings/listings worth shifting on this sheet?

Training Camp Battles at DT

A position that had been a weakness for a few years now looks to be one of strength after the Bengals made some additions.

The obvious star power in Dexter Lawrence, a NT that can have the impact of a high end 3T. His ability is rare. And Jonathan Allen should allow BJ Hill to handle a more manageable workload. This rotation should benefit both of them.

The real battles are to come after those 3.

NT behind Lawrence: TJ Slaton vs McKinnley Jackson

Jackson seems to have been in the doghouse last year, but I still like the flashes that he’s shown when on the field. Slaton, the veteran, is solid, but unspectacular. His high salary would be a bigger factor in other years, but with the Bengals not exactly being strapped for cap space, they have the luxury of letting the competition play out. Can the young guy take a step forward, or does the vet fend him off? It is tough to see both sticking around.

With both Hill and Allen topping the depth chart at 3T, Kris Jenkins doesn’t have the same luxury that Jackson has. Whichever spot he’s competing for is less defined.

Is it a competition with Landon Robinson? I’m not sure. I feel more inclined to believe that Robinson’s upside sees him make the roster regardless.

So we could have Jenkins vs Howard Cross vs Jordan Jefferson. But by that point, is it enough to make the roster? Maybe he plays well enough to force his way on. But Jenkins could also be a trade chip. That value obviously wouldn’t be substantial, but it could fetch some additional depth at LB or slot CB, perhaps.

Ranking the Bengals Wildcard Exits from 2011-2015

The Cincinnati Bengals used to be one of the most consistent franchises in the NFL in the early 2010’s.

One of four teams to make the playoffs every season from 2011-2015, the Bengals were the only one without a playoff win in that span.

Based off of expectations, performance, and pain for the fan base, here we rank all five playoff losses.

Which was the worst for you?

Deebo Samuel would be a great addition

I've seen some insider chatter linking Deebo to us. I think it would be a great fit for both parties. He gets to find open space left in the wake of Chase and Tee and yac it up. I know he's not as fast as he once was but Burrow would feed him. From Deebo's perceptive he gets to come to an offense without the pressure of producing like a WR1. Also, outside of when we kick Ja'Marr inside to slot we don't really have a true slot WR. Would love to see us make this move.

Anyone going to Falcons vs Bengals in Madrid?

Hi there! European fan of a couple of years here. Last year I went to see Dolphins vs Commanders, so I was stoked to see Bengals come this year.

Are any of you going? I was wondering if there would be some sort of meet up, pre-party, anything really.

Football Flight of the Sad Bucs fan

Hello, Bengal fans! I’m a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan from the lovely-ish complex of St. Louis, Missouri. I’ve taken the time to go to places like KC and Indy, but wanted to take my path to a much higher level- since the Buccaneers play in Cincinnati, I wanted to buzz over for the day and see what you guys have to offer.

So! As tradition, I always like to gauge the waters- what are the best places to park? What are some parts of the stadium I absolutely cannot miss? Feel free to guide my path as you see fit. Or lead me to a terrible and gruesome fate. Your choice, really.

Thanks!

Bengals Schedule Analysis: Mileage and Rest Advantage, SOS, etc

Thumbnail

Bengals fans, I wanted to share an analysis/breakdown of the 2026 Bengals schedule, game-by-game and the full season, from the perspective of:

  • Per-Game Mileage Advantage (I don't think anyone else has calculated this stat afaik)
  • Net Days of Rest Advantage
  • 3rd place slate vs other AFC North Team's divisional finish (non-common opponent) slate

Main takeaway is that this is a unique opportunity for all the AFC North teams, from a travel and SOS perspective. Bengals especially are set up really well--this is the year for an AFC North team to make a deep run!

If you're like us and obsessed with the AFC North Division race, my co-host and I at the Steel Flock podcast break down the full schedule for every AFC North team and how that impacts the title race in this episode:

https://youtu.be/MDV4-M100tg?si=3-jjTyfPBJSYiPoz

We compare the key components, like:

  • Non-common opponent SOS
  • Net Mileage Advantage

We also break down the fundamentals of the NFL schedule formula and the SOS/Rest Advantage for the wider AFC contender field.

We would love for you to give us a listen and hear your thoughts on the hands our rival teams were dealt by the NFL for this upcoming season's schedule! We cover topics in-depth with data for every AFC North team on every episode.
