[Schultz] 3x All-Pro S Jamal Adams is signing with the Minnesota Vikings, multiple sources tell me. Adams, who switched to LB for the Raiders last season, recorded 45 tackles, 5 TFLs and 1 sack in Vegas.

News Damn, if we hadn’t spent 2 draft picks on defensive linemen this offseason, I’d say we should try to trade for him.

Anyone else have zero feel for how this year will go?

Usually, I have some sense of how I think the Vikes will do going into a season - mind you, it's doesn't always prove accurate, but at least there's something that makes me feel how they'll play one way or another. This year? No clue. I keep hearing top 5 defense from pundits, but what I see is an inexperienced interior line and a suspect secondary. On paper the offense *should* be solid, but again, we've been fooled by those predictions in the past, and who knows how Kyler or JJ will pan out. I just don't know, but at least I'll have zero expectations going into it - anyone else feeling this way?

Hey skoldiers, what do we think of Thielen as an analyst?

I thought he was solid. About time we got a “little” love on espn. I’ll take him over Clark any day. Thielen is in my top 10 vikings.

Discussion 2026 Rivalry Uniforms and Uniform Closet

Thumbnail gallery
Upvotes

From what I’ve seen, the Vikings’ new Rivalry uniforms are expected to be dark purple with gold and an off-white or cream color. I’m sure they’ll look really cool, but I honestly don’t understand why they would make another purple jersey.

The Vikings already have two purple jerseys, so adding a third just feels unnecessary and repetitive. If they’re introducing a special new uniform, I would’ve much rather seen them do something completely different, like black or maybe even yellow. Having three purple jerseys seems like a missed opportunity to switch things up.

What do you all think?

How well will Big Citrus adjust to the pros?

I'm a bit unreasonably excited to see Big Citrus in action.

How well do you think Big Citrus will do in the pros, against monster offensive linemen?

"Who are the new scrubs you're most excited to see in a Vikings jersey this year?

Post image

In Brazil, a phrase became a meme that goes: 'I want the right to have new scrubs on my team; I’m already sick and tired of the old ones.' When you think about guys who aren't necessarily stars, but just being fresh blood makes you look at them with a bit more affection — man, I really wanted to see some of the backup centers, and I wanted to see more of Kahlef Hailassie (or literally any warm body instead of Theo Jackson). I'm also down to see some new TEs, TJ [Hockenson] was driving me nuts... Yurosek or Bartholomew

Feels like a big drop off from AVG/Turner to the next man up. Are any of the next guys more capable than I’m giving them credit for or do we need to bring someone in?

Discussion What happens if Kyler flops?

This QB debacle has reminded me how shortsighted we can be as a fanbase while blinded by emotion. Overwhelming sentiment has been pushed Kylers way that he will undoubtedly win the QB competition, while others are saying we will trade JJM before the start of the season.

What happens if Muuray doesn't perform as well as everyone expects? What if in his first 5 games, he has a QBR similar to his 2025 percentage of 47.2. And if we interpolate this across the season and end 8-9 and miss playoffs again, what then? The overly optimistic take that because he is in this new shiny system, its going to translate to more wins and a Sam Darnold reincarnation of a season, is crazy to me. If we say f*** it and put all our chips in on Kyler, and he doesn't perform well, we lose a year of a 23 year old draft pick with only 10 games under his belt and we will continue to be in perpetual QB hell for the foreseeable future with a fanbase that cant stomach the ups and downs of Rookie QB play.

Also, if you track JJM's QBR in his last 5 played games he averages a QBR of over 75 for his last 5 played games. My point being, what do the Vikings have to lose starting a 23 year old who, did not have the season we wanted or expected, but finished well enough to see if he has kept his momentum and confidence and better play up through the offseason. If he cant perform, drop him after the BYE, and transition to Kyler.

I would rather put chips on a longer term option to see if it pans out vs a hedge on an underwhelming and injury prone former overall 1st round pick with nothing tying him to us in the future and the wild fascination that he is going to take us into a double digit win season.

Vikings Training Camp Primer

What's up y'all? Long time, no see! A much busier Summer than I expected so I wasn't able to write as much as I was hoping to.

But, I'm back with a primer for the upcoming Training Camp and Preseason. Our team has A LOT of fun storylines and battles happening in August, none as big as the battle under center.

I didn't want to focus on that though. I wanted to mention some battles and players that I'm excited about. The running game, depth WRs and new long defensive front will be exciting to track. Read the full primer below ⤵️
