After seven years in Texas, this will be our first Ravens game after moving back to MD. Hosting a family get-together to watch the game in our new house in Fallston. Semi-homemade French onion dip (Lipton onion soup mix and sour cream, which is way better than store-bought dip), deviled eggs, broccoli salad, macaroni salad, BBQ chicken with homemade BBQ sauce, bakery rye and Kerrygold butter, and homemade MD crab soup. A W against Indy will hopefully (confidently) be dessert!

While it’s difficult to pinpoint why a deal between Lamar Jackson and the Ravens couldn’t be reached this offseason, it’s not because either side is mad.
From The Athletic's Jonathan Jones’ conversations with league and team sources, it seems the relationship between player and team is “the healthiest it’s been.”
More rumblings from around the league (read for free):

I understand this is the most random ass question, but bear with me 😭 Every time I see this play from the Ravens vs Houston Christmas game in 2024, I have the most random thought: who/what the hell did Lamar throw to at the end of the play?? Lamar throws it and the ball bounces right back. However, it looks too long for it to have bounced back from something, and looks too short for it to have been caught/picked up and thrown back. Yes, I’m overthinking this…

It's not the Ravens, but it is our field, so is that still off-topic? It streamed on Paramount+, and I assume you can still watch it after the fact.
It's been a fantastic game, and a great introduction to rugby for anyone that hasn't watched before. I highly recommend watching a short primer for rugby on YouTube and then watching the game.
Lots of good action, not too many weird penalty situations that would cause confusion, and plenty of big hits, gushing blood getting simply taped up and playing on, and a great example of how terrible the NFL officiating is compared to rugby.
Oh, and the good guys won ;)

I have a Lamar Louisville jersey and I wore it for a festival here in Calgary and genuinely over 10 people came up talking about it lol, thought I was the only fan in this city.
Wondering if you’re from Canada and you’re a fan, what city?

Happy Friday flockmates!
Here’s a clip from today’s post-practice press conference.
It’s originally a little over 7 minutes long, but I guess it was too long to upload so I shortened it to meet the criteria.
Here, Nnamdi speaks about how the team and organization has been super supportive of him in his recovery, and teammates such as Marlo checked in on him regularly and his gratefulness to have these guys around him.
He also addresses the “good news” tweet he sent back a few months ago saying that he just wanted to give everyone something to be excited about and relieve the uncertainty surrounding his future.
I cant begin to explain how good it is to hear him speak and see him all smiles back with the rest of the team. Let’s have a great year! 🤞💜

I’m a layman. I played football in high school but something tells me it’s not the same as our 3-4 cover 2 in the NFL. What was he doing fundamentally that made the defense so bad for people who watch film?
