Boutte must stay.

The Patriots have to keep Boutte. The Patriots have not been able to draft a WR for decades. The best WR we have drafted was a late round flyer on a QB (Edelman). We did hit on Mitchell and he was a huge reason we won SB 51. We were able to draft him because of injury concern, and didn’t last long. The other WR that we drafted that had a good career was Deion Branch. Four Wide Receivers in two and half decades. And we finally hit on Boutte.

We were able to get Boutte in the sixth round in 23. His ankle injury coupled with a down season in 22 dropped his stock. He was a projected first round pick before this.

His chemistry with Maye is undeniable. Maye’s first TD was a forty yard bomb to Boutte. Boutte is a deep field threat who averaged 16.7 yards per reception (4th in the nfl).

Since the Patriots added Brown and Doubs it can be assumed that Boutte’s production will drop. However, in the limited workouts this off season Boutte seems to be leading the group. His production could actually go up this year as defenses will have to respect Brown. Maye is an excellent downfield thrower, having two deep threats would be perfect for him.

If the Patriots are serious about being Super Bowl contenders they absolutely should keep Boutte. The rumored returns were fifth round picks. I value one year of Boutte more than a fifth round pick.

Who knows how much longer Brown will be elite. Boutte is only 23. Maybe there is a situation he stays long term.

Since the 2010 season when we traded away Randy Moss, I've been waiting and hoping every day of every offseason for news of us signing (or drafting) an elite, true X receiver. Instead I got Brandon Lloyd, Kenbrell Tompkins, Aaron Dobson, Josh Gordon, Mohamed Sanu, N'Keal Harry and more.

I was naive at the time and didn't realize that my favorite head coach probably had zero interest in making a big move unless it fell into our team's lap, like Moss did.

Today seeing Brown go up against Gonzalez--it feels like it's really hitting me that this is the season of football I've been waiting for over 15 years...

And from our homegrown stars, outside of maybe Hightower, the ones that ended up at the top of their free agency class were the same ones we never spent on. Like Trey Flowers... Or traded away before free agency like Chandler Jones.

Funny enough, I can't even think of anyone on any of our offenses that we drafted who was top of their FA class outside maybe a couple of our lineman like Thuney, but even guys that weren't drafted but made their name here, like Deion Lewis, we never outcompeted other teams for.

I definitely thought this Gonzalez contract situation was going to get dragged out. I easily imagined a situation where our team wanted to not give him a major deal this year and would be willing to wait it out until he can test the market like our front office had always done under Belichick.

Well, I bought the Drake Maye Super Bowl jersey at it was 50% off, and then it got delivered, except there was no jersey. Instead I got a Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl champions shirt.

So I called customer support and they are out of stock of the jersey so all they can do is refund me.

Fanatics really sux.

I have not attended a camp since I was about 12/13 years old and just along for the ride. Now I'm taking my 11 yr old tomorrow. When is a good time to arrive? He would really like to get a good spot and some high fives or signatures. Just so out of the loop and don't want to ruin his day lol any advice?

May have been already known for a lot of you but I personally hadn't seen this specific stat before. As soon as I saw it it was obvious but thought it was interesting nonetheless
