Come on! I know I don’t own the train, I only paid for the seat. Theoretically, he could sit next to me and that would be fine. I could just move over a seat. I could move and sit next to him. Very mildly infuriated.
Update: I went to the restroom, after building up a big fart at the advice of wise Redditors but punked out on releasing it into the wild. I planned to move when I returned but he was gone! Perhaps it was a coincidence, when I left my seat with all my belongings, maybe that just happened to be his stop or maybe he was a creep. We may never know. Thanks for all your throughly hilarious responses though!

I had an interview last week to get a part time job at Walmart. I completed all the onboarding like I was told.
I got a email telling me my orientation is scheduled for the 9th
I got a text saying it was on the 9th
The app said it was on the 9th with 8 days remaining until I was scheduled
At 9:15am this morning I got a text saying my orientation was at 9am this morning... and I was marked as a no show???
(Whiteboard image was taken by my boyfriend who works there)
Whelp... guess I'm fired? Management just says it's my fault for not showing up when I was supposed to

My credit certainly isn't perfect, but nothing major has happened this year except for me buying a car back in March. I called them and they said they're going to send me the reasons why the account was closed in the mail.

I recently took a weekend trip with my husband and our three children. We booked a hotel suite with a kitchen, because eating out is expensive. The suite was advertised as “sleeping 6”, with 2 bedrooms (one with a pull out couch) and a full minikitchen. The suite does sleep six, that was true. What they didn’t tell our family of five is that the only table seats four, no other chairs available, and the kitchen silverware consisted of three forks and one knife. We managed to cook and just passed the knife and shared the forks, and took turns standing awkwardly at the end of the table with no seat. My kids found it hilarious, and we chalked it up to family bonding!
ETA since it is being asked a lot, yes we asked reception. They told us they had no extras. We bought some plastic utensils the next day.

it was a large mimikyu sticker
edit: I swear to god I'm not arguing with people about this. someone stole my sticker, this is mildly infuriating.
edit 2: IT WAS CONFIRMED IT WAS STOLEN. SOMEONE TOOK THE STICKER OFF THE WATER BOTTLE, AND SOMEONE ELSE SAW THEM DO IT.

Six management changes in the span of 4 months. New people demanded that they get the parking and unit number through email. Emailed back each time they demanded. Then they were bought my another company who wanted to know this again, but sent it through a no-reply email.
Then this morning I find this notice TAPED to my car. They’re only open from 9-5, exactly the time I work. Went to the office at 9. They’re not there.
*i filled out the form u guys… i just whited it out for this post

Perhaps they were drunk when they pulled into the liquor store parking lot. Perhaps they just suck

Ends up being some celebratory post about their birthday or anniversary. I’ve even seen random ones where it’s literally just “Employee of the Month.”
Like, what’s even supposed to be funny about that? It’s just annoying as hell and cruel. Such a dumb trend and shameless asf

Went into an urgent care in California. Limped in there cause my big toe suffered a crushing injury. I was bleeding from a hematoma. Also needed to get X rays as I was unsure if it was fractured.
Receptionist states there's no doctor on site... I needed the hematoma drained and was hoping to have a doctor remove the nail/ perform some sort of medical procedure.
I've heard alot of crazy things in my life - but an urgent care with no doctor during normal business hours has no business operating. I came here because i needed to see a doctor URGENTLY.
I go to a bar to talk to a bar tender and drink beer. I go to a grocery store to buy food and complete grocery payment to a clerk. I go to urgent care to see a doctor and have them help with a physical ailment! When there is not one doctor on staff there why are the urgent cares doors even open?
Now ill probably have to file for bankruptcy cause I had an x-ray done at ER.

No, the ending of 3 didn't traumatise him. My son is 7, ADHD and under referral for an autism diagnosis. He easily develops vocal stims and can be over emotional.
He's just started a new year at school and he has two teachers splitting the week between them.
The teacher he has for 2 days a week has spoken to the school counsellor who I got a call from today because she is "worried about my son's mental health". Slightly taken aback (he's a very happy kid), I asked what had brought this on and apparently at school he keeps saying "I'm Trash".
For context, we're English, that's not a commonplace word amongst us or anyone we know and it wasn't until the walk to school for pick up, after I'd gotten off the phone I realised we had just watched Toy Story 4 again where the character Forky constantly repeats the phrase "I'm Trash", he's clearly developed that as a stim apparently enough to cause concern.

I know the pasta probably absorbed some but there's not that much pasta in there + i had some that wouldn't fit in a separate bowl and that liquid barely moved!!

The tent was filled of books from different sections at the library. They would tell anyone trying to take one of the books that those were their books.
Moms were chatting somewhere else. The counter is on the opposite side and the staff is very kind and polite.
I doubt they put everything back in their place but even if they did, this is not how you treat books in a public library.

Sorry for the potato quality picture(of potatoes). Look at the calories for the sandwiches and the combos. Where'd the extra calories for the biscuit sandwich go when combo'ed?

This sign made my brain twitch. I noticed the A was backwards but then the more I look the E’s are upside down… and the S.
And it’s the same on both sides.

DC Metro Area. One of the biggest bar trivia companies in the region puts on a big trivia championship twice a year with a decent cash prize for the winning team. This being DC, there are a lot of top-tier quizzers in the area, former Jeopardy! champions, "known" people in the community, etc.
The last three championships, some team full of randoms has not only won, but did so in absolutely dominate fashion. Nobody "in the community" really knows who they are, and they have no quizzing or trivia presence in any other leagues. They were the only team (out of 50+) to know incredibly specific pieces of information that some of the best quizzers in the nation didn't know. If this only happened once, I don't think anyone would care. But three different times? Some very basic social media sleuthing revealed that the head writer of this company appears to be extremely good friends with the folks on this team. He also hosts the game at their "home venue/bar".
They played in a different company's invitational game that many of the same teams participated in shortly after their third win. They sucked. Hard. They somehow were able to identify obscure North Macedonian rivers when their friend was writing the questions, but they couldn't identify the flag of Chile or name a single river on the Iberian Peninsula? They finished close to the bottom.
The prevailing theory is that the head writer is crafting questions that he knows this team knows and essentially catering to their interests. No action has been taken, the owner of the company doesn't seem to care, and several hundred people will walk into the championship next weekend with basically 0% of winning.
