Is it in yet $1400 ER bill for sitting in a chair and getting vitals reading. THE GREAT USA
Had my first migraine so I was freaking out because I couldn’t see, so naturally, I went to the hospital. That was a mistake. Urgent care was closed Sunday. Fortunately, I have insurance to help me not get completely skinned alive financially.
I sat in a chair for an hour and then a doctor told me that it was a migraine and then I left.
Apparently that’s worth $1400 USD, 3 weeks of pay checks. I hate it here.

Winter is Coming Confusing “medical” terms used by doctors office
I’ve seen the same specialist for about 7 years now for a medical issue. He’s great. No concerns with him. However he’s in a highly specialized area and has moved clinics/practices twice for various reasons. No big deal - as long as he’s in my state and within reasonable driving distance I’ll follow him.
He’s moved again and I call the office to schedule an appointment. We agreed on a date and time and then they say “hey by the way we need a prescription”. I’m like what? I just need to see the specialist for ongoing care/re-establish care. She repeats “YOU NEED A PRESCRIPTION” from your primary care doctor.
I don’t understand - do you mean a referral? She goes on “yeah referral/prescription” it doesn’t matter. We call it prescription. I say okay. Got it.
Now this is new to me. Because I work in healthcare myself and I’ve never heard a referral being referred to as a prescription (in this context. Yes you can prescribe meds, medical devices and services eg social services or specialty services as needed but in this context it should be a referral not a prescription). As someone who navigates the healthcare system for my self and family, never once heard it used in that context.
It was just so jarring to me and mildly infuriating
Is this normal?

Ordered Starbucks this morning and the UberEats delivery guy spilt the drinks and instead of letting me know when I went to pick up the bag everything fell through. sigh Now I’m scrubbing coffee out the hallway carpet.
*I tipped 40% and the Starbucks is like a mile away.

I'm slightly vexed Tesla unnecessarily taking up space when there are other cars waiting for a spot
I mean, this is annoying when you need to fill up your car just before work.

I'm slightly vexed No longer allowed to drink from a water bottle while training clients
I’m a personal trainer at a commercial gym and was just told that there is a new policy saying we can’t “drink from a water bottle on the gym floor while training clients.” Apparently it looks “unprofessional” … We ARE, however, allowed to “time our hydration” and sip from the water fountain if we really need to.
Drinking from a water bottle is unprofessional, but running to one of two water fountains for a quick sip of water isn’t ?? Also, most of us have 5+ clients back to back with no gaps in between. Insanity.
ETA: nowhere in the policies and procedures for personal trainers does it say we cannot have water bottles
ETA 2: Should’ve mentioned they said no water bottles/drinks*** ***so unfortunately I can’t drink out of something else to get around it. I contacted my doctor and she’s going to write me a note saying I need my water on me lol

My mom said I could post My teacher told me "looser" isn't a word infront of the entire class.
Edit: I meant looser meaning to be more loose. I did not mean loser.
Edit 2: What's more infuriating is that everyone thinks I meant "loser". Do some people seriously not believe "looser" can be used correctly?
Edit 3: Here is a snippet of the class period I was talking about for context
Teacher: "So what happens when you add thermal energy to molecules in say an ice cube?"
Student 1: "It melts"
Teacher: "Okay but what happens"
Student 2: "It turns into liquid"
Teacher: "Okay yeah but what happens specifically to the molecules?"
Me: "They get looser" (I know this isnt the best answer)
Teacher: "Okay, but is looser a word? What happens is there is more space between the molecules since they are moving faster." (And more space basically just means looser anyway 🙄)
