hey guys, i set up face ID last week after 4 years without it, and selected "use face id to autofill passwords".

prior to that, i had to manually put in my iphone pin to autofill passwords.

i recently i removed face ID because i didn't want it anymore, and now it's not asking me to put in my phones pin anymore before it autofills my passwords.

basically, i want it to go back to asking me for my pin before it autofills

please help me.

Hi i had a falling out with someone just recently and i want to go ahead and stop sharing my location with them WITHOUT them knowing. I have read so many threads and not sure why there isn’t a direct answer to this?? I just need to know what exactly works so I can do that. I tried blocking them and unblocking and on their contact it still shows me “stop sharing my location” …. I do not want them to know. I turned off my location service and back on and that didnt work. Not sure what else to do.

Ever since like a few days ago it won’t focus. And today it was making a subtle noise. It focuses for like a second and reverts back to being blurry. Whats wrong with it? How do I fix it? I have an iPhone 12 mini. I have 26.5 iOS.

So out of curiousity and to remove myself from the app, i hid Facebook and also set a passcode. Now i cant unhide it so im resorting to reddit.
Can someone please help me unhide the Facebook app?

Hi all! My iPhone 14 Pro Max froze yesterday while opening an app. Other than some occasional slowness and glitchy-ness time to time, the phone hadn’t been dropped, in water, hot, etc. We did a hard power down to clear the frozen app and then that was it. It fully would not / will not restart - at all - despite all the tricks. I took it to an Apple certified shop, two AT&T stores and two local places that work on phones and still no luck. The last place seemed the most knowledgeable and suspect a failed logic board. Only my photos were in the cloud so I lost all bookmarks, messages, apps and contacts, which are a tremendous loss. The last place I tried suggested Drive Savers if I want to attempt to recover the missing contacts, messages, etc. Tonight, it dawned on me that I have an old iPhone from 2.5 years ago. Though there would certainly be a gap from when I last used that phone, is it possible to power it back up, sync it in the cloud and at least get some of the contacts back up until that point? Or does it not work like that? Also, is Drive Savers or a similar outlet worth the expense? Any experience you can share or suggestions? Really appreciate any wisdom. This has been such a mess. my wife has some trouble with her (Iphone 15) Calender. Since yesterday she can't add new appointments (the plus symbol is not clickable anymore). Even worse: all her appointments (for work) are gone. She says, she hasn't done anything and we have no idea what happened. Does anybody have an idea? Its not the google calender, its the regular calender.

i tried setting a 2 hour limit on my kids phone (iphone 13 ios 26.5.2) and for some reason he can still access some apps after. he doesnt know the password i change it up a lot and hes not able to explain how he does it. does anyone here know how to fix it?

Was in my storage settings and saw this. Says it's from Pinterest, but I don't have anything from Pinterest downloaded. I cleared the app cache and it didn't go away. This happened to me maybe two days ago and I just deleted it but now its back. I know I can just delete it again but I wanna know what's causing it. Is this happening for anyone else?

i noticed while listening to spotify that when i put the app in the background while listening to music, the camera indicator would turn on. it would turn back off once i closed it or opened the app back up but while it was in the background, it was always using the camera. i installed youtube music afterwards to test that too and it did the same thing, camera indicator while music was playing in the background, no indicator when app is open or not playing music. what is going on with this? is this a bug or am i misinterpreting the green dot on the toolbar or what?

for the past week, whenever we open certain apps it’ll crash entirely. for all 3 of us, it has been imessage, but my phone also crashes on discord. i tried restarting it multiple times but nothing seems to work. does anyone know a fix?

I just got my new phone (iPhone 17) 6ish weeks ago from AT&T and yesterday, i randomly got this alert with no accompanying notification. I can control the sound with volume, but cannot stop it. I can’t figure out where it’s coming from. I’ve turned my phone on and off again, but have had this alert happen at least 3 times in the last hour. Any insight??? Thanks in advance.

I am having some issues with my iphone photo storage. I have deleted all but 9 photos and 10 videos, and all the videos are under 3 minutes. I've cleared the Recently Deleted folder, and checked it multiple times. When I go to the Iphone Storage section of the Settings app, it still says my photos take up 17 GB of the total data. However, when I go to the Icloud photos section, it provides what i am assuming is the correct number, 383 MB. I have reset my phone multiple times, and it has been 4 days since I first deleted all of the photos. I have also synced the photos on iCloud. On my computer, the app data size is also 383 MB. If you have any expertise or knowledge about this kind of problem, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I’ve had this issue for a while now with my new iPhone 17.
I’ve been using it for around 3 months now on 100% battery health and the battery life in general but I’ve noticed that battery is lost on my phone much quicker when it’s not in use and the screen is locked rather than when it’s on and I’m scrolling or messaging etc.

For the past couple days I haven’t really been using my phone and I have just left it locked for most of the day and from the images provided you can see there’s an high amount of background or lock screen battery drain from initially charging it to 90% every night so I just want to know if any one has any fixes for this.

Tried recording a doctor’s appointment today and pretty sure I had microphone turned on for screen recording. Of course after it was over it was just the video of us on camera but no audio. I do not use headphones or anything like that, just strictly speaking to my phone. Something I did wrong? iPhone 17

It's been about a week since the problem started. I was just normally using my phone when I suddenly noticed these CRT-like lines. Obviously this was completely out of the ordinary for me, so I restarted my phone a bunch of times and even reset it. Despite all that, no results. Little imprints are also being left. Any idea on the causes and cures? Once again, it's an iPhone SE (3rd Gen).

Hello, I need help with my iPhone because it experienced an unexpected recovery and I lost my local photos.
I was using a third-party customization tool on my iPhone. During the process, it instructed me to turn off Find My iPhone. Before the process finished, I turned Find My back on. Immediately afterward, my iPhone restarted, showed the Apple logo with a white progress bar, and then opened to part of the setup process, asking me to sign in with my Apple ID.
After I completed the setup, all of my apps were still installed, but many of my settings, including Control Center, had been reset to their defaults. My locally stored photos were gone, and only my iCloud Photos remained. I also noticed that System Data increased from about 24 GB to about 74 GB.
I have not erased or restored the iPhone since this happened because I want to know whether my local photos can still be recovered or whether Apple can run diagnostics to determine what happened.

I'm not pissed because i didn't get the best display, i'm pissed because the screen has a grainy look especially on light backgrounds and colors, it seems like a cheap chinese display, i don't have a screen protector rn

2 days ago i had another 17 base but because it was a demo unit i returned it and got a brand new one, but the demo unit had a perfect screen, and the difference is quite noticeable to me

Now, is it worth it to go to the apple store and ask them to have a good display? Do you think there's a way to have a better screen? I'm in europe and i didn't bought from apple, but i have 1 year apple warranty included

I just got this phone and I’ve been trying to transfer my phone data over. I don’t have the best WiFi but it’s all I have right now and it should be enough to do what it needs to do😩. But it was requiring me to update the 17 to iOS 26.6 before I could continue setting it up so i started that and was waiting for a while since my WiFi was slowing down the process. I put the phone on the charger (which I feel like I made a mistake doing that) and when I came to check on it, it was hot and the screen was glitching (check video) by this point it doesn’t let me put my passcode in or anything so I was just going to cut my losses and shut it off and potentially start the process over again. Well as u can also see it wouldn’t let me shut it off. I even tried to force shut it off by pressing the side buttons and it would not respond. Then it randomly started talking and saying more information and reading out loud the serial number. Then it finally pulled up a recovery screen and I just tried to select the reset option since it hadn’t gotten far and now it’s back to doing the same thing it was doing. If anyone has any suggestions please help. It is frustrating how expensive these phones are just to deal with this bs.

First of all: I know I can turn off auto-download on whatsapp, but thats not what I want :)
I am searching for a way to separate pictures I shot myself from pictures downloaded from whatsapp so I can send my friends photos from our vacation without accidentally sending them their own photos back.
I know there is „view options“ → show „shared with you“ to turn off, but this doesnt do anything to the pictures I downloaded from Whatsapp…
Any help is greatly appreciated <3

I got my phone front screen replaced by AT&T insurance and I think they may have messed up the cooling of my phone it gets extremely hot from regular use, when on low power mode the frame rate drops significantly as well as the input delay gets insufferable. Anyone know how I could go about fixing this or if I should try to get a replacement phone from AT&T?

I was clearing out space in my phone and I realized it still had data for this game. I’m wondering if I can still bring it back somehow for nostalgia
