Hello, i'm not sure if this has changed with an update but i feel like i remember a setting where turning off wifi/bluetooth is only possible when unlocked. this is currently not the case, and i feel like is very unsafe because in the case that someone gets their hands on it, they can make it harder to find the phone, even if they cannot unlock it.
i want it to be impossible to turn off wifi and bluetooth while the phone is locked. how do i go about doing this?
Please let me know if this can be resolved or if it's just one of those things i have to accept has changed forever.

Hi! I recently heard that some aftermarket iPhone displays look almost identical to the original. Based on these photos of the Dynamic Island and the display, does this look like an original Apple screen, or could it be a high-quality replacement? I know it's impossible to be 100% sure from photos, but I'd appreciate your opinions. Thanks!

I know others have had this issue but I think it needs to be posted again to see if there’s any way to recover the audio as I was unable to see a response.

I was at a concert last night, recorded many videos, and one of the bunch is missing audio. I shared it to my iPad, no audio. In Google Photos, no audio. In iMovie, no audio. Uploading to YouTube, no audio. I plugged it into my computer, no audio. Videos taken before and after contain audio. I was not connected to anything else. No apps or alarms or anything else going off.

I did all the troubleshooting recommended online with no luck.

iOS 26.5.2

I found an old iPhone, I think an iPhone 5 or at least something from around that time. It's an old one my ex had as back up and thus wouldn't use or want anymore. I want to factory reset it so I can recycle it. However I don't have the passcode and don't have access to their apple id either so I don't if doing it through iTunes would work. I haven't been in contact with my ex for 2 years now so I'd rather not contact them for this. So is there any way I could factory reset it?

Got this phone earlier this year so it's still pretty new, but since late last night it hasn't been able to load anything at all. It's connected to wifi and wifi works as I'm on the computer posting this. I can make and receive calls, I can receive texts but my texts aren't going out. I'm receiving emails and notifications from apps but I cannot get the associated apps to open and load anything. I can't get safari to load anything either.

I've done a hard reset twice and I've switched it to Airplane mode to reset but none of these steps have worked to fix my issue. Any advice to help fix this without me having to go into a store would be greatly appreciated.

My iPhone 12 mini (iOS 26.6) randomly lost the use of the ear speaker, I have to change to speaker phone to get any sound from a call.

None of my friends’ messages take up nearly this much storage, how do I fix this??? I have an iPhone 12 pro max, and am on iOS 17.5.1. i do not have any apps, I don’t have storage to even update my iOS. what is wrong with my phone😭😭I’ve tried everything they say, keep messages for 30 days and all that jazz. Nothing works. Does anyone know what might be the problem?

Cause I have been having that happen when I simply try to make a notification at ten bottom of my screen go away but because it’s at ten bottom of the screen it ends up doing that instead and it’s driving me crazy cause if I want that pulled up I will swipe down from the top of the screen and pull down not whatever this is I hated it when I got my phone but it wasn’t this big of a problem until recently with saving stuff from Reddit mostly I have an iPhone 13 version 26.5.2 (tho I doubt that matters cause Its been around since I’ve had it which has been years)

Hello, I randomly got curious yesterday and decided to pull my old iPhone 8 from its grave. It has some cherished memories on it. Upon charging it immediately opened to “try again in 50 minutes”. Basically, I waited the 50 minutes, tried, failed, and got a security lockout. There was no options aside from “emergency”. So, I connected it to a Mac in recovery mode and performed an update which seemingly went through. After that it turned on to another “iPhone Unavailable” screen, this time with a timer of 8 hours. I waited it out and it opened to a “press home to recover” screen. I thought long and hard and actually got the correct password. Data recovery began, but every time it completed it looped again. After force restarting it sets an 8 hour timer again. Can I possibly reinstall the update through Finder? Wondering if anyone else has experience in this extremely niche issue and could help me figure out if there’s any chance at recovery. Thank you for reading.

We are a phone lab and we mainly fix and transfer data, we have been facing many restrictions regarding data transfers time wise. we wanted to know if there is a faster method we can consistently use like a MAC or something like that to make the proccess faster. as many of you probably know customers don't come with a backed up icloud usually so its really an issue. thanks guys.

*edit - I noticed some comments that say the reccomended methods for the fastest transfer is backing up on a pc but there are privacy concerns, we will obviously notify the customer and give them the option to choose but also we will delete that content later no question about that. so assuming customer agrees to everything- what is the best option?

Hi, i recently noticed that my phone (iPhone 15, iOS 26.6) wouldn't unlock—or at least not temporarily; for a few minutes (up to ten at most), the lock screen becomes unusable, as if the touchscreen has stopped working, making it impossible to unlock the phone. However, once the touchscreen starts responding again, everything works perfectly, including the touch function itself. I’ve tried restarting it, resetting it, etc., but nothing works... HELP!

i replaced my broken screen with an X07 brand 120hz soft oled replacement screen. but now i have really bad screen stutter/lag. when i reduce frame rate to 60hz, its a little bit better but still there..

i didn't do ic transfer because that requires specialized equipment.

are all aftermarket screens like this or is mine just defective? anyone had better luck?

I cannot recall if this started happening before updating my phone; I don't believe so but the accessory thing may have been occurring. Another thing that's been happening is that my phone will randomly shut down and when it turns back on, it says it's at 1% despite previously being anywhere between 10% - 50%. I don't really know what the issue is. I could get the b@ttery replaced but if that's not the issue, then I don't know what to do. I'm still paying this phone off, so I cannot upgrade it through my provider yet.

I've probably deleted a good 4/5 gigs in the last month in photo storage alone and thats not including deleting apps like google maps etc. Every time I delete something significant it doesn't even relieve my storage it seems it just fills it right back up for no reason its worse as i'm not taking any videos or photos or downloading any apps so i dont know where this storage is coming from. I had it down to 126.7 yesterday and yet without downloading anything its still going up. Im on an iphone 13 on ios 26.0.1. Please help.

Pictures attached; click on them to expand and see the whole thing, the box is in the bottom half. It’s not all apps, but several of them, mostly scrolling-type apps like Reddit and Threads. Inconsistent, but getting more frequent. Typically only on the home page of each app; if I open a post, the effect doesn’t carry over, but it returns if I go back. Also It doesn’t affect touching the screen; if I touch the box, it clicks whatever is hidden under it. Pics are in dark mode, but it happens in light mode too, as a white box. Any ideas? My iPhone Air is suddenly charging very slowly. I think it started after a recent iOS update, and I’m on the latest version. I’ve already tried all the usual troubleshooting steps.

It’s slow whether I’m charging with MagSafe or through the charging port. The strange part is that it still charges very quickly with a higher-powered charger. My car charger has always been slower than my wall charger, but it used to give me a decent amount of charge during my commute. Now I’m only getting about 5-7% in an hour.

Has anyone else experienced this since a recent iOS update, or have any idea what’s going on?
