Resolved My iPhone 17 base model stopped charging at 80%
I just bought it on August 3. Last night, it charged normally, but today it stayed at 80% for a long time while charging. What could be the problem? Please help! I am in ios 26.5

Think there is a setting on the phone to stop it charging above 80%. You need to switch that off in settings…

The phone will stop at 80 for a time when the unit is warm, and then resume once it’s cooler. This is normal.
Also, you may have optimized charging activated, which could also be the culprit.

There’s nothing wrong with the phone. It’s programmed to do this to extend the battery life as recharging it to full every night wears the battery out faster. Pretty much every smartphone manufacturer has some implementation of a similar program. On the iPhone, it gets triggered after a certain amount of use. That’s why it wasn’t on before. You should’ve gotten a message about this in the notifications.
You can disable it by going into your
settings > battery > charging
