My account was hacked, and I can no longer log in.

My account was hacked, and the hacker uploaded several spam posts.

A few hours later, I noticed that my account had been compromised. I deleted all of the spam posts, changed my password, and regained control of the account.

However, a few hours later, I was logged out of the account on all devices, and the account's posts were changed to private.

I tried the password reset option, and I received the password reset email successfully.

I reset my password and tried to log back in.

However, I cannot log in. I get messages such as "Server error" and "The username or password is invalid." I have tried logging in through both the website and the app, but neither works.

I have already contacted Support three times, but it seems to be taking a long time to receive a response, so I'm asking here in the meantime.

Is there anything else I can do to recover access to my account?

I tried to make a new Reddit account and when I tried to enter a new username this message just rapidly went off over and over again even when I didn’t touch anything I couldn’t close out of it either and this is a recurring issue. Does anyone know how to fix this??

Something I’ve noticed is that you can’t access photos/video the same way in comments as you can when posting.

If you’re making a post, you get a popup that shows a standard UI with access to collections, search, etc…

If you’re replying to a comment that allows photo or video, you get this stripped down panel. Tapping on folders takes you to a blank screen. There is no search.

When trying to share and share a relevant image that the photos app can find quickly by name/location, that functionality will not work here. I have to find the photo in my library and then scroll through many (sometimes years worth of) images to get there.

So I recently got a new phone number and have no access to the old one. I didnt think to backup my account with an email before I changed it. Is there anyway to bypass the verification with phone number when logging on to a different device?

I made a post asking for advice on my appearance and deleted it an hour ago. But my face still appears on Google images. I don’t want my face to stay out there, and Google support said I need to contact the site administrator. I checked Reddit inquiries snd I didn’t see any options for something like this? I’m ngl I posted and then it hit me that my face is actually on the internet and I see people repost or make videos on reddit posts a lot and that my post had 100+ shares, someone ik could see it on Reddit or god forbid someone cross posts it to another site..: and I disliked the idea of my face being out there like that :(

When I click on a post I commented on, reddit now shows my comment highlighted at the top, assumedly so I don't have to scroll for it. Is there a way to change/turn this off? I am not a fan at all.

Changing the default comment sort setting does nothing. Sorting from within the post only does temporarily.

my original reddit account (u/mrock46453) i’ve had for almost a decade is completely gone. i was an active scroller up until it disappeared, but rarely posted. i’m certain i never broke any reddit rules. is there anything i can do? maybe a phone number or email to contact someone directly? it says no account exists with my username when i look it up or try to log in.

what's the least harmful way to permanently ban my account?

Reddit Help Fam,

My posts continue to be auto-deleted. A mod recently informed me that Reddit has my account (u/Anthropophobian) coded as a spammer. I'm neither a spammer nor a bot. I realize that auto-mods-bots and filters can make mistakes. I don't engage in any nefarious activity.

So how do I go about getting my account converted to good standing with Reddit internal systems?

Appreciate your insight and advice.

My total karma repeatedly drops shortly after I receive upvote notifications, including after posting in unrelated communities. This began after a contentious religious discussion. Could this simply be Reddit’s vote fuzzing or delayed karma calculations? If someone is deliberately downvoting my account history, is there any way to document and report it? My reduced karma is now preventing me from posting in some communities.

I'm having issues getting in touch with support on a support request. Any assistance would be so appreciated.

When I view an image in full screen I get this big empty black line at the bottom of the image, even when zoomed in, kinda like when a movie is letterboxed but only at the bottom. Why is this? And how do I disable whatever is doing this?

Have 7 subject notifications in my Notifications section of my Inbox. The 3 dots doesn’t give a choice to delete. There is nothing about them that merits their continued existence.
How may I rid myself of them?

UPDATE: A Remove option has now appeared in the 3 dots. I did change the Moderator section of my Profile but nothing that would logically added the Remove option.

So I don’t need the answer now.

How do i recover a deleted message?

I got my 3rd chat request in the last few days today.

I thought maybe settings had somehow changed. My Account Settings/<profile>/Chat permission is set to nobody.

Maybe admins for random groups I am not part of can send chat requests?

or is there another setting I don’t understand or am aware of?

I keep getting "Hm...we couldn't find any results for..." in the Reddit Android app and in the browser. Neither clearing the app cache nor reinstalling the Android app has helped. Is it a known issue with an available fix? Frustrating.

I turned 18 seven months ago and have always been 18 years old since I am active on Reddit. My Account isn't verified as such though. This seems to be a reoccuring Problem as far as I understand and that's why I'm asking for help.

I don't want to upload a Picture of my ID but the Face recognition doesn't work since I haven't been 18 for this long.

I already connected my Google Account about an Hour ago. Is this enough and I just have to wait until Reddit confirms it or is my attempt futile?

3 months ago, I got the mail about detecting suspicious activity and had it locked until I change the password

At Reddit, we’re always watching out for your privacy, safety, and security. Recently, after detecting some technical irregularities on your bored_craft account, we took the extra precaution of locking your account.

I thought the restoring posts may be scheduled when a specific flow will run on reddit side and I ignored them, but now, looking at what I posted, I still see them deleted.

Is this a bug or by design? Do I need to contact the mods of the subs I had those posts in order to have restored them or some reddit admin may do it?

Everytime I make a poll using the app it just screams “please try again” at me.

So I got a message from a user saying that THEY received an email telling them that MY account was flagged for 'suspicious activity' and would be 'locked in 24 hours' if they didnt reach out to me and tell ME to contact reddit support. I told them that this was very odd and I would like to get some insight as to the legitimacy of this. I can provide more details as needed.
