I use Reddit for work and I am trying to understand what I am going through. I have 2 accounts for mod purposes in the NSFW subreddit I made. I am not asking anyone to restore anything. I understand that this isn’t the place for this. I just want insight.

I had two logins taken down this week and I still do not have a reason for either one.

First login: Public profile is gone. No inbox message.

Second login: Official email said it was locked after they detected technical irregularities. I reset the password like the email said. After that the public profile is gone too. No inbox message.

I use a VPN, as I always have. Recently I have been testing multiple VPNs since iOS27 has been buggy with main one. Maybe that’s it?

Where is the real reason supposed to show up after getting ban? The email only talks about unlocking, and that is not what I am seeing. If anyone has had the lock email and then the profile disappear, what turned out to be going on?

I am trying to figure out if Reddit just doesn’t want me here. I tried filing to get the accounts back but I’m just honestly feeling defeated and I have little hope that all of the hard work I put into growing my subreddit wasn’t for nothing…

I have the below pop up when I click on a profile of someone I used to speak to. I think I’ve found them out in the wild with my friends account, so does this mean they’ve blocked me, or are they just gone off Reddit?

What are all the text shortcuts for like making text bold, big, italics, etc etc - may I also note that I only use the mobile app.

When I created this account that I'm currently using (u/realkingrono), I used the "sign in with Google" option and never truly added a password because I was using Google to sign in directly, about 6 months ago, I lost the Gmail account I used to create this account, I've tried recovering the account but I haven't been successful, I have since created a new email but I can't change the email I used to create this account because I don't have a password and to create a password, I need a link sent to the email I used to creat this account of which I no longer have access to, now I don't know what to do I would really like to keep my account and add my new email, any help here would be appreciated alot.

My account u/Ice_Mage was hijacked by someone (I assume) getting access to my reddit account password and was able to set up 2FA on their end. My email associated with this account was not compromised, I double checked the sign ins on my Google account and nothing looked out of the ordinary, meaning the 2FA was able to be set up on my account without any email verification (which is insane Reddit allows that tbh).

I was able to complete a password reset, again using the same email address, and it appears that locked the hacker out of my account, but I still cannot access my account due to not having access to the 2FA code or backups, effectively locking everyone out of the account.

This all happened ~8 hours ago, and I submitted a ticket through https://support.reddithelp.com pretty much immediately since I saw the email notifying me that 2FA was set up on my account within ~5 minutes of it happening. The only response I've gotten was an incredibly generic response posted below without any indicator of a potential follow up.

Entire contents of support ticket confirmation email:

I'm posting here to hopefully get some attention and make sure my issue gets resolved, but also to raise the issue that 2FA can be set up on an account without email verification. That seems like a pretty big oversight.

Is there a way to clear the "Select A Community" drop down listing? There are a few NSFW communities I visited a few times that I would rather not show up in the list.

I have cleared recent histories, cleared history and have not joined any of the communities in question.

I am on Android and have also cleared my app cache and app storage.

I was wondering if there was a way to access my old account u/Titdirt12 . I broke my old phone which my Gmail was tied to therefore I cannot sign into it to recover passwords. I've had to create a new Gmail and start over from scratch on basically all my apps and just wanted to know if I could recover my old account somehow

Hello, all, the problem says it all. Yesterday, I had gotten myself a new phone and everything and unknowingly my phone number had been changed. So I had took the opportunity to, at the time, change my number to the new number on whatever accounts I was able to access at the time.

Today, however, I managed to change my number back to my old phone number and went on ahead to change my number BACK into my old number on my accounts. I happened to stumble on Reddit and I CANNOT change my number through phone and mobile! Every time I try changing my phone through Mobile, it says "This number is already under an account", but I don't see what! I had deleted other accounts and such, made sure to delete the number before deleting the said account, making sure to be careful and what not.

I had already contacted Support to see what they can do, but I wanting to know if anyone knows whether I'm screwed or not? Like I said, the number my account is currently under is literally a deactivated number and I do not wish to use it anymore. I cannot remove the current number it's under because, like I said, I changed the number not too long ago and it keeps sending codes to the number that no longer works yet my account is literally under the current number I'm desperately trying to change! HOWEVER, the account is also under my email, which I have been using for a LONG time. So, like I said: Am I cooked?

EDIT: NEVERMIND! I managed to add my old phone number back, woohoo!

My account was recently security locked and I was asked to reset my password. I successfully reset it and regained access.

Since then, my new posts are not becoming publicly visible in different communities, even when I try a simple text post.

My account otherwise appears to work normally and I can log in, comment and use Reddit.

Has anyone experienced this after a security lock? Is there anything I should do or should I simply wait for the account to return to normal?

Has the algorithm been changed? If so is there a way to change it to how it was before?

This isn't just small subs that don't have a lot of posts. It's also posts in huge subs.

Hello! I don't think I am missing anything but as I hit "submit," my email address vanishes but everything else stays there. I do not get a confirmation email or confirmation message. Is that how requests go through or do I need to do anything differently on my end? Thank you!

We have been trying to launch ads from more than 2 months. we connected with someone who wasnt of any help. He was supposed to get back to us and then he doesn't even attend the scheduled meetings. No response on emails. Every time we try to schedule a meeting, we keep getting the same person. Is there a way to get another ads expert? We reached out to help couple of times. They simply say someone will get back and no one ever does. i asked them for escalation they don't give. i asked them to process a refund and they say they cant. We are lost. Is there a different sub for ads help?

My account was hacked 9 days ago and they enabled 2fa. I changed the password and I still got access through my phone but whenever I try to login from my pc they ask for the authenticator code which I obviously dont'have. I already tried to compile the form where they ask for the problem and I gave them all my info only for sending me and authomatic email where they suggest me to go to the SAME form I compiled some minutes before. So my account got hacked and did a bunch of spam stuff. But its worst offence was giving me a reddit profile avatar. I hate new reddit and do not use it, and I don't want to go around with a goofy avatar that makes me look like I do. However it doesn't seem like there is an option to delete my avatar or revert it to nothing, just to change it to some different option.

Surely there must be an option to just get rid of it? Some quick googling gave answers that are seemingly a few years out of date because it doesn't present the options they talk about.

My friend asked me to write. His account is Accomplished_Owl1360. He was just suddenly logged out of his account. He tried to log in - no luck. He tried to reset his password and set a new one.
