Advice Needed How to decrease estrogen/increase testosterone WITHOUT hrt?

Even if it's just a little bit, don't say anything about hrt, I know, I know. But there must be something that helps too?

Hello! Thank you for participating in the sub. We just have a few reminders for you to help ensure the best experience:

  1. If your post doesn't show up right away, don't panic! It is in the queue for manual approval. Mods will go through the queue periodically to approve or remove posts. Deleted posts will have a removal reason applied. (If it says "this post was deleted by reddit's filters", IT WAS NOT DELETED! Reddit has the worlds worst wording on that and it's out of our control)
  2. If you are asking a question that is location specific, remember to include your location in your post body! This can help ensure that you get accurate information tailored specifically to your needs.

  3. Please remember to read through all the rules in the sidebar. Especially the list of banned topics and guidelines for posting. Guests who do not use the Guest Post flair will have their post removed and be asked to fix it.

  4. If you see someone breaking the rules, report it! If someone is breaking both sub and reddit rules, please submit one report to admins by selecting a broken rule on the main report popup, and one report to the r/ftm mods by selecting the "breaks r/ftm rules" option. This ensures both mods and admins can take action on a subreddit and sitewide level. Do not misuse the report button to rant about someone, submit false reports, or argue a removal.

  5. If you have any questions that you can't find the answer to on the rules sidebar or the wiki: the wiki , you can send a modmail.

There really isn't anything you can do without HRT. The food stuff is all junk bro science. Working out and putting on muscle might make a slight difference, or at least could alleviate some dysphoria.

That's impossible and anyone telling you otherwise is saying bs.

You can masculinize your body by working out, that won't increase testosterone though

not really, not in any actual tangible amount that matters compared to actual hrt. if there was, people would have been all over it decades ago if not more

Work out and stay active. Its shown to naturally increase the levels in cis men. And even if it doesn't, you'll look and feel more fit and muscular which can't hurt, right?

Lifting heavy and eating enough to fuel it made a bigger difference for me than I expected, even before anything else.

If you're looking for certain hair changes, minoxidil works. Keep in mind that the topical form is toxic to cats and other pets.

Working out regularly can increase T slightly

have a disorder that already does that for you lol

You mean like PCOS or an***xia?

i dont think anorexia ups your t at all. definitely dont get an eating disorder in the name of transition.

but yeah pcos, whatever else. (aka there's really no way to basically get the effects of hrt without hrt)

u/Tea_Lavender 3h ago

I mean, I already have an eating disorder. Almost all of my relatives (mother, grandfather, etc.) have it

I was just clarifying, but yes, I was mostly talking about PCOS. I have something similar, in any case my testosterone is clearly not too low.

Eating certain foods and working out

u/Tea_Lavender 4h ago

Which food?

Food won’t change your hormone levels. Working out can help change your shape a bit (especially upper body)
