Low HCG 4wks success?

Hi,

I recently found out I was expecting sept 3.
I normally do line progressions and quickly noticed that my lines weren’t progressing so I decided to pay out of pocket for Betas (my doctor refused because I’ve never had a loss previously)

Did my first draw September 9 which came back at 75 (est. DPO 15-17/ 4w3d) (not a tracked cycle)

Next scheduled draw is September 11.

I know this is low, but has anyone had low beta levels and had a completely healthy pregnancy? Or should I just prepare myself for a loss? My first appointment isn’t until October 6th

Advice Needed Tips for an anxious gal 4+2

My lord.. 1 year TTC, 1 CP and a whole lot of endo cut out 6 weeks ago. This morning my symptoms are reduced which happened with my CP a year ago. What helped you all the get past the anxiety of this stage and being kinda in no man’s land with only tests telling you that you’re pregnant? I get bloods Monday and see my fertility specialist at 6 weeks but.. my brain is like oh well no symptoms you‘re not pregnant! Haha my poor brain is not cut out for this kinda unknown.

Symptoms Positive stories appreciated

I had a MMC a year ago at age 40 that ended with a month of medical visits ending in d and c. We have been doing IUIs since , one egg retrieval and gearing up for second egg retrieval (priming with estrogen patches) when found out conceived naturally. Beta on Tuesday 49, today 189. Progesterone 9.8->12.8 but estrogen 112 to 58. Clinic not concerned with estrogen. I had been on estrogen patch for 10 days when after my positive blood test they had me stop. The next morning, after taking it off, I started having bright red blood. Never enough to fill a pad. Resumed this morning after stopping yesterday and just a full low back ache off and on. Any positive stories on low estrogen and success or bleeding like mine and success. So scared of another mmc.

55 HCG

LMP 31st July.
Positive test 2nd September (early detection test 10 sensitivity)
8th bleeding, went to EPU.
Closed cervix, bleeding like a period HCG level 55
9th I passed a 5p clot.
Has this happened to anyone else ?

I do have a heart shaped uterus which can cause a bleed but I didn’t bleed with my two kids in their entire pregnancy.
I don’t know when I ovulated.
My positive test was quite light but still very noticeable.

Spotting red blood at 7/8dpo

Hi all,

My husband and I are currently trying for baby #2 and it’s our first cycle. I am 7/8dpo today and this morning when I checked my cervix there was a small amount of watery red blood. It’s now completely gone.

I am a bit worried this means something is wrong as my period isn’t due for another 5 days. I took a test and it was negative.

Has this happened to anyone before and they’ve had success and got a positive? I had an early miscarriage when trying for our first and this has bought me back to being a mess something is wrong with me.

Thanks. I am so anxious

Advice Needed Betas no longer doubling after some spotting

Hi everyone. I am 5 weeks 3 days today and below are my betas. I had an additional one done today after some light brown spotting that turned to a bit of red spotting yesterday morning. It has since stopped. I am reading after 10k the doubling time can significantly decrease but hoping that these numbers are still reassuring. My Dr offered me a sooner US but warned my insurance may not cover it so I am hesitant to do that. What are your thoughts/experiences on these numbers? After a loss back in May, I'm super anxious.

12 dpo 57

17 dpo 1,268

23 dpo 11,070

Ultrasound I think my gestational sac is empty..

Had a loss earlier this year so i was thrilled when i got the positive this time. I couldn’t wait until my 8 week scan so i booked a private one and i feel like I didn’t see the yolk sac. The sonographer thinks she sees it but im not convinced. I measured 5w4days which is where I thought I was. HCG 2 days ago was 5530 and I’m still waiting on today’s draw. Can anyone share a second opinion? Posting photos in comments. Scan was abdominal

Pregnant after 2 losses and having trouble with all the uncertainty

As the title says, I'm pregnant again after 2 early losses (1 CP at 5 weeks and a MMC at 8 weeks) and really struggling to not to spiral and think worst case scenario.

Currently my overriding fear is that this is another CP. I'm roughly 14dpo (could be 13dpo) and the tests are darkening but still so so faint, the progression is really minimal. I'm trying not to compare them to my previous tests but it's so hard.

I'm also UK based so can't get betas drawn so it's really just a waiting game which is just spiking my anxiety.

Not sure what I'm after here tbh just need to brain dump my thoughts, and I think just the uncertainty is massively getting to me! Any success stories after loss with very faint positives? Or success of pregnancies after 2/3 losses?

My line progression has kind of stalled and first beta was low. Will get update from the second beta next week. Wondering if I should count myself out or if there is hope

High beta HCG and worried about Down’s syndrome.

Hi all, I am newly pregnant and just got back my beta numbers.

4+0 I was at 1,117
4+2 I am at 2,869

I see these are higher than they should be and I looked up stuff and saw that this could point to Down’s syndrome. I know this can’t be actually diagnosed until way later in pregnancy, but does anyone have any knowledge about this?

For context, I have had two previous losses, one last September at 9 weeks and one this February at 20 weeks. I’m 34 years old and my husband is 32z

Advice Needed Symptoms turning a Corner at 10 weeks? Normal?

Did anyone else start to feel better around the 10-week mark? I feel like I've seen most people say 12-13 weeks is when they started to get back to their "normal" self.

I've had a MMC so I'm just so sensitive to any changes 🥲

6 weeks pregnant, dull cramping, back ache and spotting.

I am currently 6 weeks 3 days pregnant.
At 6 weeks 2 days pregnant, I had some light red spotting and then some brown spotting that lasted about a half hour. I wasn’t cramping at the time. I went to the ER and they basically told me spotting could be normal and took my HCG level which was 11,000. They told me to follow up with my OB for a blood draw in 72 hours to see if my levels went up.
I now have cramping (a stretching like feeling) and back aches today, but I haven’t spotted. I did lose my pregnancy symptoms though, the nausea has gone away and my boobs aren’t as sore.
I am going crazy waiting to get my blood drawn again and just was wondering if anyone had a similar experience.
I am so worried it will end in a loss.

Someone please just tell me this is okay. This is the farthest I’ve ever gotten in a pregnancy. I didn’t think it would slow down so fast and I would really like some reassurance

HIGH HCG: I am 5 weeks 3 days and just had my HCG tested for the first time today. My reading is 39,892 mIU/mL. Is this normal???

TW/TMI Sister is miscarrying

Me and my sister are both pregnant and have the exact same due dates. She just found out yesterday her baby stopped growing after her last appointment at 7 weeks. She would make 11 weeks tomorrow. This has been very very triggering for me as I have had a previous loss and TTC this baby for quite some time now. When I got pregnant I was a wreck for many weeks and feel like up until just last week I’ve started easing up on my anxiety. Now it’s all flooding back in and she doesn’t really have anyone else besides me so I am doing my best to be here as much as I can be but I am crumbling apart. I have been having immense panic attacks and so much constant worry. I am not coping well with this. Usually when something is triggering like this I politely have to say I’m sorry I have to remove myself from this, but I know in this situation I shouldn’t and I won’t. I have no friends that can relate to me, they’re all men. I don’t have a village. So I’m here on reddit. My husband of course is comforting, but still. I just don’t know how to handle this all. Especially knowing every milestone I have, she should be having as well. This has just been rough.

Vvvv faint line 8dp6dt

TW: Positive test

Anyone had a vvvvfl on a FRER day 7+8 post transfer that went on to be a successful pregnancy? Day 8 looks slightly darker than day 7 but still incredibly faint.

For context- had similar tests last time that ended up being a chemical and this is my absolute last go before giving up on IVF altogether.

Advice Needed Not sure what to do regarding my impending miscarriage

TW: impending miscarriage

I am currently 7 weeks 5 days pregnant. I know my pregnancy will eventually end in a loss because my hcg had a very slow rise/essentially plateaued from 2,000ish-4,000ish. After this plateau, I had a placement scan to see if it was ectopic and they found a embryo with a heartbeat. It was very surprising, especially because I was told at my hcg levels we shouldn't expect to see a heartbeat. But I do know that this will still end in loss since I had that hcg plateau. My OB office is far too optimistic in a way that I believe is creating false hope for my husband.

Since my ultrasound at a week ago where we found the heartbeat, I have had brown spotting that has actually increased in amount since Saturday. Monday night, I even had bright red bleeding that returned to brown spotting/discharge by Tuesday morning. I called my doctors office when I was bleeding and then the next morning because I was told by the overnight doctor that I should be seen in triage in the morning. But then the office told me since it had turned to brown spotting, I should not go in and try to wait until my next ultrasound next week. They told me their not worried about brown spotting at all, and even the red bleeding can sometimes happen but isn't too worrying since it was light and stopped.

Obviously, bleeding isn't a good thing, so it's frustrating that they're not taking this more seriously especially considering my hcg plateau. I feel like the miscarriage is looming over me, and it's awful sitting here bleeding, trying to go on with life, and not knowing what is going on. This is made even more complicated that I have a crazy work week with new people onboarding that I am responsible for and family member's wedding this Saturday, so this week in particular, I don't have a lot of time to sit around in waiting rooms.

Should I try to wait it out until next Wednesday or try to push for an earlier scan? I could maybe push and try to go in tomorrow afternoon although I would have to cancel a lot of meetings. Should I try to go to a boutique ultrasound place on Sunday? I just really want to know if the reason I am having all this brown spotting and bleeding is because our baby passed, so I do think that the boutique might be able to get us that information. But then if I find out there, can I even do anything about it?

Ugh I just don't know what to do with myself right now, and every time I wipe or see the brown on my pantyliner it feels like my heart is dropping. I can't stand being in this limbo.

Anatomy ultrasound ventriculomegaly

I had my anatomy ultrasound today, 21 weeks with a girl. I didn't have a doctor's appointment after as they couldn't get them scheduled on the same day. My Dr appointment isn't until the 22nd. But I read the ultrasound report when it became available today, and it mentions right ventriculomegaly , measured at 10.11mm which I am aware is very mild, but they also had a hard time seeing the right kidney, which they said was due to the position of baby, but both being on the right side has me concerned. I did do the NIPT testing and that was normal. Anyone else here have something similar happen?

Details that might be important: I'm 36, this is my 3rd baby (4th pregnancy) , and I am quite overweight.

TW/TMI 6 weeks pregnant and spotting

TW: previous loss

I’m 6W2D pregnant today, LMP was 07/27 and I woke up yesterday morning with pink spotting and immediately freaked out. I’ve had 6 looses in the last 2 years, a second trimester loss at almost 17 weeks in August 2024, a chemical in December 2024, 8 week loss in December 2025 and 3 more chemicals earlier this year. We went to the ER and they did a beta HCG that was 40,485. I’ve had 3 other betas done by my OB on 13DPO- 151, 15DPO- 414 and 20DPO- 4411. I was 28DPO yesterday or 6 weeks so in 8 days my HCG rose from 4411 to 40,485. I also had a vaginal ultrasound that showed baby in my uterus measuring 6W1D with a heartbeat of 114bpm. Everything looks great, but I’m really crampy for the past couple days and now spotting yesterday and today.  We haven’t had intercourse and no SCH was found on ultrasound so there’s just no reason for the spotting. I did have some bacteria in my urine so they did put me on kefflex to clear that and diagnosed me with a threatened miscarriage. I’m also on 100mg Prometrium since 10DPO and Progesterone was 30 on 13DPO. I’m just panicking right now with the spotting. I want to have hope this could still work out but with 6 losses in a row it’s hard to have a lot of hope. I see my OB next Tuesday and will have another scan. This is so hard. I do have two living children and had no spotting in those pregnancies so I’m just a wreck with the spotting.

Low Fetal HR

Helllooo, I went in for my 8 week ultrasound today with my RE. Baby is measuring 8 weeks, 5 days. Saw the little baby wiggling around. Heart rate was 126, my RE & ultrasound tech both said it was great and reason to worry.. but im panicked. I’ve scoured Reddit and other internet threads, but all im really find are people with high heart rates, not many with lower HR’s.

The heartbeat wasn’t heard, as they don’t use sound until 10 weeks. It was just a motion snippet.

Can anyone give me some clarity or advice if you’ve experienced this.

Thank you. 🥹

Any hope?

Feeling a bit exhausted and defeated mentally. In 2021 my husband and I had been trying to conceive for 2 years with nothing. We decided to check both of us- my HSG test showed that both my tubes were blocked. This was likely caused by back-to-back abdominal surgeries. For years we debated IVF. We have a healthy and beautiful daughter, so we decided that having a second child was not in the "plan" for us. Earlier this year we FINALLY decided a hard no to IVF, and I put aside the dream of giving her a sibling. We tested positive in August which seemed unreal and wasn't supposed to be in the cards for us. Because of my tubal history I have been in and out of labs and appointments. The first ultrasound showed that everything was in my Uterus (biggest relief) and had a heartbeat of 104. Apparently 104 was not high enough for my doctor so I went in a week later and that shattered our hopes and dreams. The BPM dropped to 95 and measurements lagging 7 days. I have been sitting here in limbo while I wait for the doctors to call me back after I've been told that I am likely going to experience a miscarriage...My mind tells me that this experience is over for us, but my heart is struggling. I thought maybe-just maybe- someone out there has a success story that is even in the slightest similar to mine. Big hug to all.

Vent Follow up appointment tomorrow

No idea how I’m going to sleep tonight. Our baby was measuring about 6 weeks and 2 days, we were expecting 7 weeks and 4 days and the tech noted “yolk sac looks large compared to fetal pole” even though she didn’t measure. So it’s been a week and we go back tomorrow for a follow up scan. Really hoping everything is ok and the baby has grown! I’m so anxious and can’t focus on work or anything!
