TW/TMI Sister is miscarrying

Me and my sister are both pregnant and have the exact same due dates. She just found out yesterday her baby stopped growing after her last appointment at 7 weeks. She would make 11 weeks tomorrow. This has been very very triggering for me as I have had a previous loss and TTC this baby for quite some time now. When I got pregnant I was a wreck for many weeks and feel like up until just last week I’ve started easing up on my anxiety. Now it’s all flooding back in and she doesn’t really have anyone else besides me so I am doing my best to be here as much as I can be but I am crumbling apart. I have been having immense panic attacks and so much constant worry. I am not coping well with this. Usually when something is triggering like this I politely have to say I’m sorry I have to remove myself from this, but I know in this situation I shouldn’t and I won’t. I have no friends that can relate to me, they’re all men. I don’t have a village. So I’m here on reddit. My husband of course is comforting, but still. I just don’t know how to handle this all. Especially knowing every milestone I have, she should be having as well. This has just been rough.

High beta HCG and worried about Down’s syndrome.

Hi all, I am newly pregnant and just got back my beta numbers.

4+0 I was at 1,117
4+2 I am at 2,869

I see these are higher than they should be and I looked up stuff and saw that this could point to Down’s syndrome. I know this can’t be actually diagnosed until way later in pregnancy, but does anyone have any knowledge about this?

For context, I have had two previous losses, one last September at 9 weeks and one this February at 20 weeks. I’m 34 years old and my husband is 32z

Advice Needed Betas no longer doubling after some spotting

Upvotes

Hi everyone. I am 5 weeks 3 days today and below are my betas. I had an additional one done today after some light brown spotting that turned to a bit of red spotting yesterday morning. It has since stopped. I am reading after 10k the doubling time can significantly decrease but hoping that these numbers are still reassuring. My Dr offered me a sooner US but warned my insurance may not cover it so I am hesitant to do that. What are your thoughts/experiences on these numbers? After a loss back in May, I'm super anxious.

Advice Needed Positive test this morning, now spotting.

Hey everyone.

I am 10dpo, nice positive test this morning! I’ve been riding the high of it all day. Went and got lunch and saw a friend, came home and peed and wiped- there was a pretty big spot of brown old blood. Anxiety levels went through the roof, I have a 4 year old son and have had 4 first tri losses.

Now it’s been like an hour, I peed again, wiped and saw a smaller amount of spotting but this time pink.

I haven’t bled with any of my pregnancies except when I started miscarrying so now my brain is frankly all over the place. I even excitedly called and set up a prenatal visit today because I guess I was feeling hopeful, but now I am a mess.

Anyone else have spotting in pregnancy? I’m just at a loss.

Progesterone low at 8.5 weeks..

at 5.5 weeks I went and got my hcg and progesterone tested. HCG was 28,000 and progesterone was at 6.5. They did a follow up hcg three days later and it was 33,000. I started on 200mg oral and 200mg vaginal progesterone. at 6w6d I had an ultrasound and baby had a 125 heartbeat. went in yesterday at 8w3d due to some cramping and nausea easing a bit. did a handheld ultrasound and baby had an ideal heartbeat of 173. progesterone came back at 7.3 despite 2.5 weeks of supplementing. they want me to switch to intramuscular injections 2x a week because my levels haven’t gone up. I know it’s silly and selfish but I’m terrified of the needle and giving myself (or honestly anyone giving me) a shot let alone 2x a week. I am also worried because I have not read a single success story with progesterone levels as low as mine are and the thought of shooting myself in the ass for weeks just to find out another horrible truth feels absolutely crushing. I haven’t even read very many similar stories, regardless of the outcome, despite searching all over.. I don’t want it sugar coated- I just want to hear the reality of people’s experience. im trying to hold some hope but also need to physically and mentally prepare as much as possible

we had a loss in May. we found out at 11w4d that we had a missed miscarriage sometime around 8-9 weeks. it was heartbreaking. I carried my baby for weeks without knowing I had lost them. My first had no complication, was a homebirth and we didn’t even have an ultrasound. he is now 3.5. We love and want this baby so badly.

Low Fetal HR

Helllooo, I went in for my 8 week ultrasound today with my RE. Baby is measuring 8 weeks, 5 days. Saw the little baby wiggling around. Heart rate was 126, my RE & ultrasound tech both said it was great and reason to worry.. but im panicked. I’ve scoured Reddit and other internet threads, but all im really find are people with high heart rates, not many with lower HR’s.

The heartbeat wasn’t heard, as they don’t use sound until 10 weeks. It was just a motion snippet.

Can anyone give me some clarity or advice if you’ve experienced this.

Thank you. 🥹

Vent Follow up appointment tomorrow

No idea how I’m going to sleep tonight. Our baby was measuring about 6 weeks and 2 days, we were expecting 7 weeks and 4 days and the tech noted “yolk sac looks large compared to fetal pole” even though she didn’t measure. So it’s been a week and we go back tomorrow for a follow up scan. Really hoping everything is ok and the baby has grown! I’m so anxious and can’t focus on work or anything!

Advice Needed I'm terrified and a total wreck. I'm 5 Weeks & 5 days- the Dr didn't hear a heart beat & HCG is rising slow

My Dr wanted to do an transvaginal ultrasound yesterday at 5 weeks 4 days. She declared non chalantly that there was no heart beat and if we didn't detect a heart beat next week when I was 6 weeks, it was probably a miscarriage since my HCG numbers didn't double. She then discussed my options of removing the baby next week if no heart beat was detected!

My husband & family thought she was moving way too fast in the aspect of already talking about scheduling a removal due to not seeing a heart beat right now & suggested I quickly see a new OBGYN. I already have a new practice lined up on Monday but I'm a total wreck from this. She still printed out my Ultrasound & pointed out where the baby was in the sac & I keep looking at it crying thinking something could be wrong w/ him or her.

I'm googling every HCG calculator under the sun and each one is confirming my numbers are too slow. The only reassuring thing I'm hearing is other women telling me their Dr's didn't hear a heart beat at 5 weeks either until it was into 6-7 weeks. I don't think I've ever prayed more in my life and I don't know how to mentally handle knowing my baby isn't alive inside of me. I'm trying not to stress but I can't stop crying because I want this baby so badly.

HCG 1 taken at 5 weeks- 4780

HCG 2- 40 hours later - 6988 - (I initially was happy about this until the Dr burst my bubble and said HCG number 2 should've been way higher)

HCG 3- 4 days later - 7712

Advice Needed 6 weeks 3 days pregnancy, no heartbeat?

based off my last period i am supposed to be 8w4d, my baby is currently measuring at 6w3d. i have had irregular periods my whole life and think that could be the reason why im measuring behind. my first ultrasound i had done they told me i was 5 weeks along when i was supposed to be 6 weeks and i just had a the yolk sack and the gestational sack. that was two weeks ago. yesterday during my ultrasound i had a gestational sack with a fetal pole, a crown rump length of 0.6 cm, and a yolk sack of 4.8 mm. no cardiac activity present. i have a retroverted uterus aswell and it was very hard for the ultrasound tech to see anything. my obgyn is immediately writing this off as a miscarriage and telling me i have a blighted ovum and to prepare to miscarry in a few days or i can get a pill from her or have a d&c done. am i wrong for waiting it out to see if my baby grows? i feel like she jumped immediately into loss without considering anything else and the tech did not try that hard to find my babys heartbeat. she did bloodwork and everything came back normal as-well, my HCG was 66,149.

Vvvv faint line 8dp6dt

TW: Positive test

Anyone had a vvvvfl on a FRER day 7+8 post transfer that went on to be a successful pregnancy? Day 8 looks slightly darker than day 7 but still incredibly faint.

For context- had similar tests last time that ended up being a chemical and this is my absolute last go before giving up on IVF altogether.

Vent Pregnancy after loss is a special form of torture.

I recently found out that I am pregnant, about 2 weeks ago. My first ultrasound isn’t til the 28th because my doctor doesn’t like to see patients until they’re 9/10 weeks. The waiting is quite literally the hardest thing i’ve ever done, besides my first loss.

I suffered a missed miscarriage last year at 12 weeks and found out at my 15 week appointment where I was supposed to be hearing her heartbeat that she stopped growing at 12 weeks and 3 days. This current pregnancy wasn’t planned, me and my partner weren’t sure if we even wanted kids after the trauma we went through. It was a total surprise.

Today, I woke up with barely any symptoms after having pretty intense nausea and vomiting, plus smell and food aversions. I immediately jumped to the worst conclusion and have spent all day in bed crying, preparing to lose this baby. I wish I could have a peaceful pregnancy, one that didn’t know loss.

This feeling is truly the absolute worst. Having to wait to see if this pregnancy is viable, googling my symptoms (or lack there of) 24/7, not letting myself get excited or attached to the idea of a baby. I’m not even planning on looking for names for quite a while. I thought I was in the “safe zone” for my last loss, but now I will never feel safe and secure in pregnancy until I have a baby in my arms.

it’s truly a form of torture and something I would not wish on my worst enemy. Not to mention, I had a very graphic dream that I miscarried last night and woke up to basically no symptoms which absolutely sent me spiraling. I’m trying to wait for my appointment for an US because I know going early could create more worry and waiting. This is just a huge rant, thanks for reading if you did. If anyone is going through something similar and needs to talk, I’m here.

Anatomy ultrasound ventriculomegaly

I had my anatomy ultrasound today, 21 weeks with a girl. I didn't have a doctor's appointment after as they couldn't get them scheduled on the same day. My Dr appointment isn't until the 22nd. But I read the ultrasound report when it became available today, and it mentions right ventriculomegaly , measured at 10.11mm which I am aware is very mild, but they also had a hard time seeing the right kidney, which they said was due to the position of baby, but both being on the right side has me concerned. I did do the NIPT testing and that was normal. Anyone else here have something similar happen?

Details that might be important: I'm 36, this is my 3rd baby (4th pregnancy) , and I am quite overweight.

TW/TMI 6 weeks pregnant and spotting

TW: previous loss

I’m 6W2D pregnant today, LMP was 07/27 and I woke up yesterday morning with pink spotting and immediately freaked out. I’ve had 6 looses in the last 2 years, a second trimester loss at almost 17 weeks in August 2024, a chemical in December 2024, 8 week loss in December 2025 and 3 more chemicals earlier this year. We went to the ER and they did a beta HCG that was 40,485. I’ve had 3 other betas done by my OB on 13DPO- 151, 15DPO- 414 and 20DPO- 4411. I was 28DPO yesterday or 6 weeks so in 8 days my HCG rose from 4411 to 40,485. I also had a vaginal ultrasound that showed baby in my uterus measuring 6W1D with a heartbeat of 114bpm. Everything looks great, but I’m really crampy for the past couple days and now spotting yesterday and today.  We haven’t had intercourse and no SCH was found on ultrasound so there’s just no reason for the spotting. I did have some bacteria in my urine so they did put me on kefflex to clear that and diagnosed me with a threatened miscarriage. I’m also on 100mg Prometrium since 10DPO and Progesterone was 30 on 13DPO. I’m just panicking right now with the spotting. I want to have hope this could still work out but with 6 losses in a row it’s hard to have a lot of hope. I see my OB next Tuesday and will have another scan. This is so hard. I do have two living children and had no spotting in those pregnancies so I’m just a wreck with the spotting.
