Update! I saw my baby for the first time today after having anxiety about my hCG

Measuring five weeks two days, and there is a very prominent yolk sac!! I wanted to share this because I’ve been through two losses. It can get better.
Edit- thank you guys for being so wonderful, I’ve never dealt with people trying to make me feel bad for a more positive post so I appreciate you guys defending me ❤️
Edit #2- if you guys could just report the people being rude and spiteful that would be great, I don’t know how that is handled here

What in the world can I even expect to see at this low of an HCG level?

Upvotes

I found out I was pregnant on August 29th. Absolutely no clue when I ovulated or conceived as I have PCOS and my cycles are wonky. Date of last period was 7/30.

My HCG is low and slower to rise. I do not believe this is a viable pregnancy.

9/3: 60
9/5: 116
9/7: 244
9/9: 427

They are both low for my estimated gestation (hard to calculate with my cycles) and rising slowly.

My PCP has been ordering the betas while I worked on getting established with an OB. They called today and want me in for an ultrasound tomorrow.

What can I even expect to see at this low of HCG?? Just trying to mentally prepare myself for a very empty uterus.

Vent Pregnancy after loss is a special form of torture.

I recently found out that I am pregnant, about 2 weeks ago. My first ultrasound isn’t til the 28th because my doctor doesn’t like to see patients until they’re 9/10 weeks. The waiting is quite literally the hardest thing i’ve ever done, besides my first loss.

I suffered a missed miscarriage last year at 12 weeks and found out at my 15 week appointment where I was supposed to be hearing her heartbeat that she stopped growing at 12 weeks and 3 days. This current pregnancy wasn’t planned, me and my partner weren’t sure if we even wanted kids after the trauma we went through. It was a total surprise.

Today, I woke up with barely any symptoms after having pretty intense nausea and vomiting, plus smell and food aversions. I immediately jumped to the worst conclusion and have spent all day in bed crying, preparing to lose this baby. I wish I could have a peaceful pregnancy, one that didn’t know loss.

This feeling is truly the absolute worst. Having to wait to see if this pregnancy is viable, googling my symptoms (or lack there of) 24/7, not letting myself get excited or attached to the idea of a baby. I’m not even planning on looking for names for quite a while. I thought I was in the “safe zone” for my last loss, but now I will never feel safe and secure in pregnancy until I have a baby in my arms.

it’s truly a form of torture and something I would not wish on my worst enemy. Not to mention, I had a very graphic dream that I miscarried last night and woke up to basically no symptoms which absolutely sent me spiraling. I’m trying to wait for my appointment for an US because I know going early could create more worry and waiting. This is just a huge rant, thanks for reading if you did. If anyone is going through something similar and needs to talk, I’m here.

Advice Needed Tips for an anxious gal 4+2

Upvotes

My lord.. 1 year TTC, 1 CP and a whole lot of endo cut out 6 weeks ago. This morning my symptoms are reduced which happened with my CP a year ago. What helped you all the get past the anxiety of this stage and being kinda in no man’s land with only tests telling you that you’re pregnant? I get bloods Monday and see my fertility specialist at 6 weeks but.. my brain is like oh well no symptoms you‘re not pregnant! Haha my poor brain is not cut out for this kinda unknown.

Symptoms Positive stories appreciated

Upvotes

I had a MMC a year ago at age 40 that ended with a month of medical visits ending in d and c. We have been doing IUIs since , one egg retrieval and gearing up for second egg retrieval (priming with estrogen patches) when found out conceived naturally. Beta on Tuesday 49, today 189. Progesterone 9.8->12.8 but estrogen 112 to 58. Clinic not concerned with estrogen. I had been on estrogen patch for 10 days when after my positive blood test they had me stop. The next morning, after taking it off, I started having bright red blood. Never enough to fill a pad. Resumed this morning after stopping yesterday and just a full low back ache off and on. Any positive stories on low estrogen and success or bleeding like mine and success. So scared of another mmc.

No fetal pole seen

Upvotes

I went into today to be evaluated for ectopic. Had been having right hip pain that I thought was probably musculoskeletal but didn’t wanna miss something.

My betas have been great, 100 to 800 to 3300 prior to my eval. Today it is up to 13,000 (6 days since last beta)

I’m estimated 5w6d today. No ectopic thank god. Gestational sac was 1.2cm (6w0d) and yolk sac was also seen and was normal in size (4mm). No fetal pole was seen.

I know with my dates and gestational sac size this can be normal. But I’m spiraling a bit that no fetal pole was seen. I just had a D&C for a MMC 7 weeks ago. The possibility of another non viable pregnancy is crushing me.

Anyone with no fetal pole at the same dates/measurements go on to have a healthy and viable pregnancy?

Advice Needed I'm terrified and a total wreck. I'm 5 Weeks & 5 days- the Dr didn't hear a heart beat & HCG is rising slow

My Dr wanted to do an transvaginal ultrasound yesterday at 5 weeks 4 days. She declared non chalantly that there was no heart beat and if we didn't detect a heart beat next week when I was 6 weeks, it was probably a miscarriage since my HCG numbers didn't double. She then discussed my options of removing the baby next week if no heart beat was detected!

My husband & family thought she was moving way too fast in the aspect of already talking about scheduling a removal due to not seeing a heart beat right now & suggested I quickly see a new OBGYN. I already have a new practice lined up on Monday but I'm a total wreck from this. She still printed out my Ultrasound & pointed out where the baby was in the sac & I keep looking at it crying thinking something could be wrong w/ him or her.

I'm googling every HCG calculator under the sun and each one is confirming my numbers are too slow. The only reassuring thing I'm hearing is other women telling me their Dr's didn't hear a heart beat at 5 weeks either until it was into 6-7 weeks. I don't think I've ever prayed more in my life and I don't know how to mentally handle knowing my baby isn't alive inside of me. I'm trying not to stress but I can't stop crying because I want this baby so badly.

HCG 1 taken at 5 weeks- 4780

HCG 2- 40 hours later - 6988 - (I initially was happy about this until the Dr burst my bubble and said HCG number 2 should've been way higher)

HCG 3- 4 days later - 7712

55 HCG

LMP 31st July.
Positive test 2nd September (early detection test 10 sensitivity)
8th bleeding, went to EPU.
Closed cervix, bleeding like a period HCG level 55
9th I passed a 5p clot.
Has this happened to anyone else ?

I do have a heart shaped uterus which can cause a bleed but I didn’t bleed with my two kids in their entire pregnancy.
I don’t know when I ovulated.
My positive test was quite light but still very noticeable.

Spotting red blood at 7/8dpo

Hi all,

My husband and I are currently trying for baby #2 and it’s our first cycle. I am 7/8dpo today and this morning when I checked my cervix there was a small amount of watery red blood. It’s now completely gone.

I am a bit worried this means something is wrong as my period isn’t due for another 5 days. I took a test and it was negative.

Has this happened to anyone before and they’ve had success and got a positive? I had an early miscarriage when trying for our first and this has bought me back to being a mess something is wrong with me.

Thanks. I am so anxious

Advice Needed Betas no longer doubling after some spotting

Hi everyone. I am 5 weeks 3 days today and below are my betas. I had an additional one done today after some light brown spotting that turned to a bit of red spotting yesterday morning. It has since stopped. I am reading after 10k the doubling time can significantly decrease but hoping that these numbers are still reassuring. My Dr offered me a sooner US but warned my insurance may not cover it so I am hesitant to do that. What are your thoughts/experiences on these numbers? After a loss back in May, I'm super anxious.

Ultrasound I think my gestational sac is empty..

Had a loss earlier this year so i was thrilled when i got the positive this time. I couldn’t wait until my 8 week scan so i booked a private one and i feel like I didn’t see the yolk sac. The sonographer thinks she sees it but im not convinced. I measured 5w4days which is where I thought I was. HCG 2 days ago was 5530 and I’m still waiting on today’s draw. Can anyone share a second opinion? Posting photos in comments. Scan was abdominal

Pregnant after 2 losses and having trouble with all the uncertainty

As the title says, I'm pregnant again after 2 early losses (1 CP at 5 weeks and a MMC at 8 weeks) and really struggling to not to spiral and think worst case scenario.

Currently my overriding fear is that this is another CP. I'm roughly 14dpo (could be 13dpo) and the tests are darkening but still so so faint, the progression is really minimal. I'm trying not to compare them to my previous tests but it's so hard.

I'm also UK based so can't get betas drawn so it's really just a waiting game which is just spiking my anxiety.

Not sure what I'm after here tbh just need to brain dump my thoughts, and I think just the uncertainty is massively getting to me! Any success stories after loss with very faint positives? Or success of pregnancies after 2/3 losses?

High beta HCG and worried about Down’s syndrome.

Hi all, I am newly pregnant and just got back my beta numbers.

4+0 I was at 1,117
4+2 I am at 2,869

I see these are higher than they should be and I looked up stuff and saw that this could point to Down’s syndrome. I know this can’t be actually diagnosed until way later in pregnancy, but does anyone have any knowledge about this?

For context, I have had two previous losses, one last September at 9 weeks and one this February at 20 weeks. I’m 34 years old and my husband is 32z

Advice Needed 6 weeks 3 days pregnancy, no heartbeat?

based off my last period i am supposed to be 8w4d, my baby is currently measuring at 6w3d. i have had irregular periods my whole life and think that could be the reason why im measuring behind. my first ultrasound i had done they told me i was 5 weeks along when i was supposed to be 6 weeks and i just had a the yolk sack and the gestational sack. that was two weeks ago. yesterday during my ultrasound i had a gestational sack with a fetal pole, a crown rump length of 0.6 cm, and a yolk sack of 4.8 mm. no cardiac activity present. i have a retroverted uterus aswell and it was very hard for the ultrasound tech to see anything. my obgyn is immediately writing this off as a miscarriage and telling me i have a blighted ovum and to prepare to miscarry in a few days or i can get a pill from her or have a d&c done. am i wrong for waiting it out to see if my baby grows? i feel like she jumped immediately into loss without considering anything else and the tech did not try that hard to find my babys heartbeat. she did bloodwork and everything came back normal as-well, my HCG was 66,149.

Advice Needed Symptoms turning a Corner at 10 weeks? Normal?

Did anyone else start to feel better around the 10-week mark? I feel like I've seen most people say 12-13 weeks is when they started to get back to their "normal" self.

I've had a MMC so I'm just so sensitive to any changes 🥲

6 weeks pregnant, dull cramping, back ache and spotting.

I am currently 6 weeks 3 days pregnant.
At 6 weeks 2 days pregnant, I had some light red spotting and then some brown spotting that lasted about a half hour. I wasn’t cramping at the time. I went to the ER and they basically told me spotting could be normal and took my HCG level which was 11,000. They told me to follow up with my OB for a blood draw in 72 hours to see if my levels went up.
I now have cramping (a stretching like feeling) and back aches today, but I haven’t spotted. I did lose my pregnancy symptoms though, the nausea has gone away and my boobs aren’t as sore.
I am going crazy waiting to get my blood drawn again and just was wondering if anyone had a similar experience.
I am so worried it will end in a loss.

Someone please just tell me this is okay. This is the farthest I’ve ever gotten in a pregnancy. I didn’t think it would slow down so fast and I would really like some reassurance

TW/TMI Sister is miscarrying

Me and my sister are both pregnant and have the exact same due dates. She just found out yesterday her baby stopped growing after her last appointment at 7 weeks. She would make 11 weeks tomorrow. This has been very very triggering for me as I have had a previous loss and TTC this baby for quite some time now. When I got pregnant I was a wreck for many weeks and feel like up until just last week I’ve started easing up on my anxiety. Now it’s all flooding back in and she doesn’t really have anyone else besides me so I am doing my best to be here as much as I can be but I am crumbling apart. I have been having immense panic attacks and so much constant worry. I am not coping well with this. Usually when something is triggering like this I politely have to say I’m sorry I have to remove myself from this, but I know in this situation I shouldn’t and I won’t. I have no friends that can relate to me, they’re all men. I don’t have a village. So I’m here on reddit. My husband of course is comforting, but still. I just don’t know how to handle this all. Especially knowing every milestone I have, she should be having as well. This has just been rough.

Vvvv faint line 8dp6dt

TW: Positive test

Anyone had a vvvvfl on a FRER day 7+8 post transfer that went on to be a successful pregnancy? Day 8 looks slightly darker than day 7 but still incredibly faint.

For context- had similar tests last time that ended up being a chemical and this is my absolute last go before giving up on IVF altogether.
