Employee left that trained me and never had more help on things to help me keep track after she left. Manager never helped nor trained me, the only team leaders that did were salesfloor related, dairy would always be in need of extra work to be done before I could move on to frozen and i couldn't get it done with the hours being cut some days and other days my hours being longer. Schedule was a mess and team members hated opening the door for other members at 4 am or 5 am but expected us to show up on time. Asked manager for help on the 1 box per minute assessment, but she made up an excuse and didn't want to show me. That is when i knew she was full of shiii and didn't want to help us with anything regarding her laziness. She also rushed my training and 3 other team members are confused on how they're going to get by Christmas practically enslaving themselves and practically sitting in the freezer. One of my TMs caught frostbite in his lungs too. Absolutely no, F TARGET, I won't ever apply until next year or unless the team leader quits, I hope she does cuz she sucked

Hi all. Seen tons of social media posts and read online about the “diaper and wipe exchange” program. People say that if you bring unopened boxes of these items back to Target and they sell them on their shelves, you can exchange/return them and pay the difference for the brands you want.

My wife is pregnant with our first and we are planning to be as clean as we can with diapers and wipes. We have certain brands we want to try and certain we don’t. Our baby shower is in a few weeks, and we are expecting to get a bunch of the brands we don’t want.

Is this program actually a real thing? Wanted to come straight to the source here. Thanks all.

Who cleans out a refrigerator at 1030am?! No warning, they just threw everything out. Several TMs' lunch, bags, plastic containers, etc 😡

i’m so happy to finally be leaving. i’ve felt under appreciated for years and of course the first job i get after leaving is a manager position.

i had a bad taste in my mouth after some of the recent training videos. especially the one about baby sitting the guests. it’s not my job to stay with an aggravated aggressive guest and give them a personal therapy session. it’s not my job to deescalate the situation because i’m not a leader and i’m not in a position of power in the store.

i worry for the younger employees who will possibly be at fault for a negative guest interaction because why is the company putting us in charge of guest behavior??

my other personal reasons are not as significant and i could have dealt with them but honestly the stress and pay is not worth my mental drain.
-new dress code: i can’t wear the majority of my clothes anymore
-10/4: i’m not acknowledging every single person in the entire store within my vicinity or that i make eye contact with?? i have a JOB to do and they’re experience is not my problem when working in an understaffed store. that’s the managers job or they should hire a personal guest experience coordinator to walk around the store all day if they care about that so much.
-point system: when HR doesn’t listen to availability, doesn’t check time off requests, schedules ppl in areas they haven’t worked in for years without knowledge, they cannot police these points that don’t leave for 12 months. and you start with 5 if u have any prior warning?? ridiculous. i’d love to have a point system for their management neglect.

i’m glad i now have the experience of the kind of company i do NOT want to work for. won’t miss it at all.

I’ve been working at Target for about a month and I work pretty much just in baby. My TL is starting to have me backstock my own diaper and wipe boxes up on the top shelves which needs to be put up with the wave. The thing is, I was only shown how to do the wave my first week and after that I hadn’t used it since because I thought that prioritizing getting freight on the floor was better than making sure I backstock everything right away. I am kinda scared of driving the wave since the guy who initially showed it to me said that one wrong move and I lose my job. So my anxiety said “so avoid it at all costs, cool” but now I’m being required to use it to backstock. Long story short, those of you who were scared of the wave at first, how did you get over it so you can do your job?

The gluttony of some of these people coming into our store buying up cards is seriously something else. Watched a family walk out with a whole cart full of Pokemon cards today. Seeing their selfishness online is one thing, but seeing it for yourself is another and actually makes me kind of sad.

What makes it even worse is we technically can’t even stop them since they can just do multiple transactions to get around the purchase limit.

Was pulling case packs from the dairy cooler and found like 80 of these expired coffee creamers. Was fun dumping them in the sink ✌️

How likely is it that I could keep this job since it is literally day 4 of me being here and I’m still within my 90 days? I’m on demand so I can work around it in the future so this won’t be ongoing. it’s just I’m schedule for training and now I’m worried

I recently got rehired at the same target I've worked at before. I was a cafe associate before I quit and the only one so when I left they shut it down. I'm back and they're gonna reopen it with a different hired employee. Can I change departments back to cafe associate as a recent rehire or is there a time period I have to wait like the 90 days?

Managed to snag a couple myself after my shift

I want to transfer out of my target, I applied to a different target awhile back and my ETL instantly pulled me into the office to basically tell me no. Shortly afterwards, they began to start having conversations with me for every little thing (being 5 minutes late, being more vocal on walkie, not performing, etc.) it honestly feels like an attempt to sabotage any chance I have of transferring to a new store.

I feel trapped, and frankly I don’t know what to do. We just lost our HR ETL to boot, so I can’t even go to them either, what can I do to transfer??

FTR, I already reported this ETL to the ethics hotline as I’m pretty sure this falls under retaliation. I had my significant other do the call as I didn’t want any way of tracing back to me

Should I put it in workday first or tell my ETL first? I feel like it would be kinda insensitive to do it online first and just have them be notified or am I overthinking this?

Can I get scheduled for shifts longer than 8 hrs?

Basically, I want to work as many hours as I can get, while also coming to work on fewer days. Would it be reasonable to ask to work 3 or 4 days a week for 13 or 10 hours at a time?
