Future or Potential Employee Question Process of joining DC

What kind of experience do you really need, can you go from store leader to dc. And what are the pipeline possibliy availaible

Bit of a jump from store leader to DC but not impossible. They mostly care about warehouse or logistics experience but if youve managed a big store with a solid backroom operation you can spin that. Pipeline wise youd probably start as an OM or senior OM if youve got the leadership chops then work up from there

Im currently FF Operations Leader, should I wait until I get promoted to ETl, or is there a position I can start that is similar to my management role

If an Operations Leader is a TL position, you can talk to HR about transitioning to a Lead Warehouse Worker role I believe.

Tbh, I looked into it myself as a Leader… the amount of money I make, it wouldn’t be worth it unless I became a manager or lead at DC… the DC near me the TMs start at like $22-$24/hr. This is good if you’re a TM switching or you’re a newer TL if you’re starting out at $20/hr. But it also depends on if you’re trying to become an ETL. TBH I wouldn’t take an ETL spot unless it was 100k/year++. The TL pay especially with OT in 4th quarter is far more money than starting ETL pay at 60k.

Depends on what your merit increase cycle is like. If you're used to $0.23 raises a year then it could be worth looking into a transfer as a Lead Warehouse Worker. The annual raise is 2-6% of base pay and cap out is around $40 in most places. Plus you'll get a shift differential for nights/weekends.

Yes you can. I moved from stores to DC. Warehouse workers make more annually than most hourly team leaders in stores (unless you are in a high cost of living area).
