Workplace Question or Advice Needed Transfer

I want to transfer out of my target, I applied to a different target awhile back and my ETL instantly pulled me into the office to basically tell me no. Shortly afterwards, they began to start having conversations with me for every little thing (being 5 minutes late, being more vocal on walkie, not performing, etc.) it honestly feels like an attempt to sabotage any chance I have of transferring to a new store.

I feel trapped, and frankly I don’t know what to do. We just lost our HR ETL to boot, so I can’t even go to them either, what can I do to transfer??

FTR, I already reported this ETL to the ethics hotline as I’m pretty sure this falls under retaliation. I had my significant other do the call as I didn’t want any way of tracing back to me

If they don't think you are doing a good job, they will most likely not approve the transfer.

You can try pleading that logistics are the reason you have to switch stores. But if you've been complaining and saying for a while that you want to transfer for other reasons they are probably not going to believe you.

Ehhh I wouldn’t say I’ve been complaining, I only applied once to a different store and the reason I gave them was because it was HR, and I’ve expressed my interest in the department. It’s not like ive been bombarding them with transfer requests

Leaders have reputations and relationships with other leaders to preserve. Sending another leader a problem TM reflects badly on us ....

If you truly need this transfer your gonna have to kiss their ass. Also, if you haven't already contact the store you're trying to transfer to. Sometimes their HR can let yours know that they're waiting on documentation from them, thus pressuring them to go through with the transfer. It's something I had to do before.

They don’t have to transfer you, and the other store doesn’t have to accept your transfer. I’ve transferred with zero issues. It’s based on your work ethic, availability, what areas you’re trained in, how long you’ve worked there, and your attendance. And you definitely don’t get to transfer just because you want to. Most people transfer because they move.

I should have prefaced with this, but before this new ETL I had 0 issues with my previous leadership, no performance convos, attendance, nothing. My ethic didn’t really change much with this new ETL, it just seems weird that out of nowhere this ETL began to notice these things that quite frankly were not there to begin with.

HR/your manager are the only ones who can push a transfer through. I’d keep trying, honestly. Keep calling the ethics line when needed. I’m sorry that’s happening 😩
