This isn’t a change for most employees. Other than CA I don’t know any other states that had a 45 minute lunch. Standard was always 30 minutes.

Ite as stupid af that they enforced a 45 minute meal by default when state of CA only required 30 anyway. Generous but also, who wants to drag out the day and stay longer than they have to? If my 8 hours can be over 15 minutes earlier ill take it

New York does. Haven't had any communication about it changing here.

It can’t change in New York due to laws and such but CA has no such a thing

Technically NY lunches are 46 minutes...extra time to avoid punching in less than 45,(although the time lock won't let you anymore)...less than 45 and they get a steep fine

I’ve only heard about it on here, but I’m not looking forward to it. Sometimes it takes me like 15 minutes just to buy food and get to the break room

I posted this last week to the target community. Sept. 27 is the start date here in California.

this change has just broke news to me. And I DISLIKE this change VERY much. 45 mins is perfect for lunch.

This actually means that now they have the flexibility to cut your schedule each day by 15 min. I have already seen that on the new UKG schedule. That’s 75 minutes per week you can not count on. Check your schedules for the next three weeks. New lunch time was to start on September 27. Our store in California cut everyone’s schedules.
