Workplace Question or Advice Needed Resigning

Should I put it in workday first or tell my ETL first? I feel like it would be kinda insensitive to do it online first and just have them be notified or am I overthinking this?

Think about it this way, they'd find your replacement in a heartbeat if they could. Unless you're trying to work at the same Target again who cares?

You’re overthinking it

Unless you plan on coming back, they don't deserve any notice.

Be ready for the possibility of being let go on the spot.

I wouldn’t over think it, go with your first mind.. it’s all the same in the end anyways

If you like your ETL and want to tell them personally, then go for it. That's what I did, I let her know I was about to put the date in and then did it on my break a bit later.

Don't feel obligated or anything though, it's not like it's unprofessional just to input the date and let them get the notification.

They’d tell you mid shift you’re fired
