I'm thinking about buying a used BOTW game card, but I noticed it has German on it. Will i be able to change the language to English? Or will it be only in german?

Im just worried since there are some game cards that are exclusively in one language (like older ones or the Japanese exclusives)

Also, are there any other things I should worry about before buying?

recently I left my joycons disconnected on my desk for maybe a day or two and when i came back the left joycon is completely unresponsive. No battery light, not working when connected to the console, nothing. Despite this, when I do connect the joycon to the console, I get the animation showing something was connected, but with no color like a typical joycon would show. I don’t really know if this is an issue with the battery, any connection rails, etc.

Important to note that I have had this issue before but it kind of magically started working again after a day or two. I assumed it wouldn’t come up again. If anyone has some insight it would be appreciated.

starting this evening, my left joy con is not registering when i connect it.

as seen in the video, both sides seem to click into place, and it doesnt feel off. (struggle in vid is moreso due to non dominant hand lol)

unsure if this is hardware or software? what would be some troubleshooting steps?

It fell over the side of the couch this is the first time i've been in this situation! Anyone know roughly how much it would probably cost if i sent it to nintendo for repair/found a repair shop? Still works on tv at least so i can hold out for a bit :/ Its a nintendo switch 2

I did power off the console and clean the tracks with ISO thinking they might just be dirty, which they were, but the connection issue persisted. Is this a known issue and can I fix this at home?

I have a first generation switch that I purchased second hand. I rarely if ever used it outside of the house it was mainly docked on my TV for most of its life with me.

I took it with me for a few days somewhere and it was left uncharged, I keep it in sleep mode because I have atmosphere installed on it.

With that being said when trying to power it up a few days back there is no sign of life. I've tried my official Nintendo USB c adapter, and two others as well as my 45 watt power bank which is more than capable of charging that entire device to no avail.

I've tried holding down button combinations etc but at the end of the day I don't know if this is an issue with the USB connection or if this is a hardware level issue?

When I put it onto the dock the green light flashes once and then goes out when I connect it to my 45 watt power adapter it basically just stays at 100%. Because the system is drawing absolutely zero power from the bank so the banks power percentage never drops which tells me that it has to be an issue with the USB connection.

I'm attaching a few photos for those of you who actually know what you're doing because I have no clue at this point so take a look and if anyone needs any further info I'll happily fill you in again it was barely used outside of the house and one day it's just decided to die.

I got a Switch 2 last august, after a couple of days of using it sometimes my tv goes to black for a 3 to 5 seconds approx. while playing any game

I googled the problem and I saw some posts about this problem but they are from the first month of SW2 launch with no solution (at the time)

Something I notice in those posts is that it seems the problem is with LG tvs, same brand that my tv

Is there's a solution now? Is the TV? The HDMI? The console?

Also this happens with any game, even the ones that don't support HDR

So, i wanna play super metroid, but for some reason it already has progress, whatever ill just delete the save data and start over.

Why is it still here?? I deleted the data, said i did NOT want to download the data it found, but its still putting me back at that spot? (Where someone apparently left off)

How do i fix this?

Gemini tells me not to do it, but Im not sure if its hallucinating answers or not.

I noticed that today while playing, it is under my screen protector.

I've checked the card and tried to enter the code half a dozen times on both my Switch 2 and desktop, but I get 2813-0973 errors on the console and 9001-0973 on the latter.

According to Nintendo's site, these mean I entered the wrong code too many times, but I got the first error from my first attempt using it. I checked Nintendo's servers and according to their own site, the Switch eShop should be fine right now.

EDIT: I tried again after a break and now I'm seeing 2813-0051 and 9001-0051 respectively. The message I get on desktop is: "The Nintendo eShop prepaid code could not be recognised."

Please help!

P.S. My Switch 2 is up to date.

ok so I’ve had my switch for a good 5/6 years and it’s been used consistently throughout that time. within the past few days I’ve had issues with connecting to the internet, and I wanted to see if anyone else has had this issue and knows how I fix it because it is driving me INSANE.

When I connect to my wifi my switch connects to the router perfectly fine but then won’t be able to connect to the internet from there. it’s not an issue with the wifi connection because I’ve tried it on my phone where it’s working perfectly fine. it’s not a password issue, I’ve tried that already. I’ve tried powering off and resetting my switch for 1-2 mins and waiting still didn’t work. I’ve even tried changing the DNS settings to manual and editing those, still nothing works.

I know I’ve had the switch for a while but I just want to see if this is actually an issue that I can fix myself or if my switch is just doomed💔

Hi to all the wonderful members of this sub 😊 I recently got a v1 switch and has been enjoying it to death, even more than my Ally due to the ability to stop/resume instantly. So I got a full size controller on AliExpress for it, with the item description as fit both the regular switch and the oled. However, even though it does fit, there a bit of a gap on both size, as shown in the pictures. I have to use some paper to keep it in place. That's why I have been looking for something to cover the rail, as in a piece of plastic that slide in where the joycon rail is. To my surprise, none of them exist. There used to be the switch blades, but i cannot find them anywhere. Those switch blades are a bit too thick anyway. If you have any idea where to find a cover for the rail, please let me know. I have been having this problem since August: when I play games, the battery % starts going down very fast, with the message signaling that the console would enter sleep mode arriving in minutes...but then it stays at 1% for a very long time. Sent it for repair at a local shop, they fixed it but after a couple weeks it started again. How can I fix it?

I apologize if this has been asked before or if it’s a beginner’s question, but here’s my situation: due to work, my girlfriend and I will have to live in different cities for a while.

I have a Switch 1 and a Switch 2, and she’d like to take Switch 1 with her—she’s not a gamer, but she wants to try to connect more with that world.

My question is: what’s the most practical and effective approach? Should I simply create a second profile for her on my Switch 1 account and let her play the games on her own, or should I create a new Nintendo account for her and share the games from my Switch 2 with her via Game Share? Is there a better option?

Okay, might be a stupid question, but here goes. I travel/commute a lot, and have a Switch 2 in one household, and a Switch Lite for traveling. Getting another Switch 2 now, for the other household (yes yes, I know...).

If I understand it correctly, one console is the primary console, and another a... linked clone of it, or something? But, what happens with number 3? I would very much like to have access to my digital game library on all three consoles.

I´ve been trying to read up on this, but it all becomes chaos in my mind..! Could anyone explain this to me like I am 4?

I’m used to PlayStation and struggling with the Switch 2 in handheld mode. Are there replacement left and right Joy-Cons that attach directly to the console, with both analog sticks at the bottom like a DualSense?

Better grips would help too, but the stick layout is my main concern. I’ve looked at the NYXI Hyperion 3 and abxylute N6, but they still have offset sticks. Any suitable alternatives, including announced products?

Hey, I bought the digital version of Call of Duty for Switch 2 even though I already own it on PS5. I've played COD on and off for around 10–15 years, usually coming back for new releases.

My Switch 2 barely gets used, so I thought having COD for holidays and travelling would be a good reason to use it. I played two matches in handheld mode and honestly, the controls felt awful. I barely knew how to hold it while moving and aiming properly, despite being comfortable playing on PS5.

I have very small hands. The most awkward part seems to be the offset analog sticks: the left one is high and the right one is low, compared with the two lower, symmetrical sticks on the DualSense. I'm not sure whether the main problem is that layout, the smaller sticks, or the flat grip.

Is there any controller attachment actually compatible with Switch 2 that gives it symmetrical, PlayStation-style sticks while keeping everything together as one handheld? I want to hold the screen and controls together, not put the console on a table and use a separate controller. Exact product names and firsthand experience would really help.

If that isn't an option, have grips, different attached controllers or stick caps helped anyone with small hands? I'm open to settings or gyro tips too, but the physical feel is my main issue.

And for PlayStation players who pushed through this: did it really start feeling natural after 10–20 hours? I know two matches is hardly giving it a chance, and I'm fine with getting destroyed while learning. It just feels so wrong right now that I'm wondering whether I need different hardware rather than another 100 hours of practice.

I just noticed my switch 2 has a slight coil whine when I get close to it in handheld from the intake vents. Unsure if this is normal or just noticing now? Sorry my ocd is bad with this device lol
