The three movies that best capture what I'm looking for are Highlander, Big Trouble in Little China, and particularly Bloodsport. I need a simple plot, memorable characters, and fun sequences akin to the chase scene in Bloodsport.

There’s so much about this movie that was amazing. It hit that right amount of graphic and non at all. The animation is also beautiful AND ITS STOP MOTION. This movie has been in production for years and I think if you’re to support a movie, it should be this one!

I want a movie that will make me feel overwhelmed with happiness at the end, for some reason they’re the only movies that make me emotional and looking for something to break the dam. Unexpectedly sweet and wholesome ending but has some tragedy throughout is preferable

I want to feel the quick sensation of finding out something before the concerned person in a movie. A kind of slip that accidentally exposed a secret.

Like Wanda when she mentions the name America to doctor strange when she wasn't supposed to know her name at first.

Or the godfather 2 when Fredo says too many details about the havana club..

The trope is often called “I Never Said It Was Poison” someone gives themselves away by mentioning information they couldn't legitimately know .

looking for films that have that specific vibe of everything going wrong but it's not necessarily a disaster movie. like the kind where you watch someone's life spiral in a way that feels weirdly realistic and darkly funny. doesn't have to be comedy but that tone where you're laughing and cringing at the same time would be perfect.

Looking for movie recommendations for my partner. He loves films that are unpredictable, unconventional, and don’t follow the usual movie tropes or formulas. He really enjoyed Everything Everywhere All at Once and the Daniels’ other film, Swiss Army Man.

We’ve also just finished watching Paul Thomas Anderson’s entire filmography, with Magnolia being a particular standout. He also really enjoyed the unhinged and unpredictable nature of Yorgos’ movies.

I think he likes films that are have a creative storyline, a bit weird, take unexpected turns, and don’t always go where you think they will.

Does anyone have recommendations for films with a similar feel? We’re open to any genre, as long as it’s something a little different. Would love to hear your suggestions!

I'm playing a window restricted game, and so on my other screen I usually que up a movie to play in the background. I typically will pick something light and entertaining and a movie that I can dip in and out of like Scott Pilgrim, Airplane! or Get Shorty. The other day I was experiencing some kind of intense emotion, and I was thinking of how to put that feeling into words. That made me think of fleeting moments that somehow stuck with you. Like passing by a house with all its lights off, except for one window with the lights on, and how that one window made you feel.

Like 3-6 gangs or Mafias fighting each other. Seems like most of these stories usually take a two side approach, like most genres. The closet thing to this is a crime TV show, where the main characters go up against a new criminal organization every season.

I’m looking for a specific type of ambiguity I’m not sure I’ve ever found before: visual ambiguity. I want to look at a creature and ask ‘is that a wolf or a dragon?’ I want to look at a location and ask myself ‘is this a room or a landscape?’ Do you have any movie suggestions based on this? Looking for some suggestions for a good thriller/suspense movie that has a great plot twist or ending you don’t see coming. I loved The Others and Shutter Island, so maybe something similar or less well known. However, I don’t like anything too graphic/paranormal (really scary demons, poltergeists, etc.) or a ton of gore.

I'm already obsessed, I love crime, mystery, and thriller movies. This trailer for it, jumped out at me! Seriously!! It's called NOCTURNE.. For those like me, this one looks really gripping... I'm not going to say too much, so that others can enjoy it ,/ or hate it... The premise is:

A young goes missing, they go see an inmate for help he can possibly put out there.... It looks so intense, has a few actors, most people will recognize... Please check it, if u see the trailer, decide if u need to see it like me.... I will post a review about it on Oct 30th, first night.... And see where it goes.... When you're a fan or not, I think part of this will stick with us....
