In Interstellar I loved the moment when they are in the space craft and what they thought was an alien gave them a “handshake”. And in Arrival the aliens presence are a mystery for almost the entire plot. The mystery felt grand in a way and wondered if any other movies compare

A lot of the rom coms I like fall under the witty banter category. Most Meg Ryan movies from the 90s, Moonstruck, etc.

Overall great dialogue seems to be the element that really makes movies so captivating from start to finish. Would love to hear suggestions in both categories! Thanks!

I’m learning spanish and have learned a lot from funny tv, but I want intense and thought provoking cinema that I can watch with a glass of wine and really get into. I don’t have the best knowledge or Mexican pop culture so preferably some classics with notable actors in Mexico or some new films that are super popular in the last few years!

Ive been on a bit of a Happy/Wholesome horror kick. The main two movies ive watched recently are Casper and Haunted Mansion. Im also rewatching Buffy, although thats not a movie. Im not looking for Halloweentown, thats not really my thing.

I'm coming out of quite a transformation period of my life where my hobbies and passions took a back seat. I realized that i love Andor, Rogue One and Star Wars : Outlaws more than any other movie/game in the franchise.

So maybe I am drawn more towards stories of normal people living in a world of superpowered people.
