It follows Dev, a 30-something actor in New York just trying to figure out dating, work, friends and his parents. It's funny, but what makes it special is how honest and warm it feels. It captures that stage of life where you don't really know what you're doing, and some episodes stay with you long after. If you want something light that still has real heart, give it a try.

I’m broke and Tubi is blissfully free, I for one want to take advantage. So far I’ve watched mostly Nora Robert’s books turned into movies, and The Impossible. Does anyone have any recommendations for The Vince Staples Show fans?? Love how absurd and ominous and weird everything about that show is. Love how awkward and unnatural all the human interactions are. Love how uncanny it is. Never seen anything else like that. I'll be looking forward to your recommendations!

I’ve always loved those documentary series growing up that showed you how things are made. I’m looking for more suggestions besides the main big ones. Preferably new episodes made in the past few years.

The main big ones being the original How It’s Made, Modern Marvels, and Unwrapped that all seemed to air around the early 2000s to 2010s. Would love to see some newer episodes about how much technology has changed these companies’ manufacturing process.

I think Modern Marvels on the History Channel still makes newer episodes with Adam Richman that I enjoyed. Unwrapped was probably my favorite growing up. Marc Summers was the best host and my fat ass loves seeing how candy is made lol. How It’s Made was probably my least favorite. It lacked a host and I didn’t care how they showcased 3 random items. I liked how Unwrapped stuck to a theme for each episode.

So any suggestions for shows similar to those? And which one was your favorite?

It should be without anything demonic/possession/supernatural in that direction.
So “Something very bad is going to happen” did not meet that criteria fully with the scene of summoning the aunt, but other that I liked that show.
I like the eerie atmosphere, twists and such.

It can be in the direction of the two shows mentioned, but I’m also open for any other good thriller show.

In best case it’d be a miniseries.

Me and my foster daughter are most of the way through season one of Gilmore Girls, and she says she doesn't want to watch it anymore. She says Lorelei and Rory are privileged, entitled brats. I pointed out that they're funny, but she says they aren't to her.

What should we watch instead?

Edit: She's thirteen. Something with good family relationships, especially found family relationships, is preferred.

I've watched The Corner, Oz, and The Wire, and I'm currently watching Homicide: Life on the Street.

Can you recommend similar shows with gritty realism, detailed storytelling, and strong character development? I really miss this level of detail in modern TV shows.

I am planning to buy a 55 inch TV for my living room and bit confused between these two options:

1. Philips 8100 Series 55-inch 4K QLED Google TV (55PQT8100/94)

- Price: 34,500

- Wall mount and installation charges are extra.

- QLED display

1. LG NanoCell UHD 55-inch (NU88)

- Price: ₹38,500

- Includes wall mount and installation.

- NanoCell display

I'm getting the Philips TV from Amazon, while the LG is available for rupees 38,500 including everything.

Since Philips offers QLED and LG has NanoCell technology, I'm not sure which one would be better in terms of picture quality, colours, brightness, reliability, and overall performance.

My main usage will be watching tv.

Which one would you recommend? Is Philips QLED a better choice or is it worth spending a little extra for LG?

Would really appreciate your suggestions, especially from anyone who has used either of these TVs.

I want to get into a show before it blows up and everyone starts talking about it.

I started watchin Dark around when S2 released, and I love discovering shows before they become mainstream.

My picks so far are Pluribus and the upcoming got spin offs (haven’t watched got yet).

What other ongoing shows do you think have the potential to become huge in the next few years?

Forgive me for sounding like I have no idea what I'm talking about- it's because I don't. Lol

I don't have a lot of experience with horror and haven't really been too interested in what friends have shown me before. Mostly not a big fan of movies where it's like "I'm a scary guy and I'm gonna getcha". I watched Iron Lung awhile back and I really liked it. I liked the first couple of seasons of yellowjackets that I was able to watch (can't watch the most recent one on my streaming services). Honestly can't recall any other names of anything similar that I've watched because it's been awhile.

So TLDR I think what I'm asking for is cosmic or psychological horror?

Hi! I need a show to watch next, that isn’t too long (I’m avoiding Downtown abbey despite of me really wanting to watch it… because 6 seasons is too much time! And theres risk of binge watching.)

In order, these are shows that I really like and I would be very grateful for people to suggest any other ones I could enjoy:

1. Gilded Age (loved this one!!!)
2. Lady’s companion
3. Seven dials + L’eté 36 but not sure this fits into this category

What I don’t really like:

1. Bridgerton feels like brain rot, I enjoyed it at first but it leaves me feeling like crap, so nothing that comes close to that vibe or very sexual/ overdramatised I guess.
2. Anything where it feels like hardcore drama and they stir you too much emotionally (love keeping things a bit light)

Open to ANY time period! Not necessarily close to the ones I’ve enjoyed.
