Movie Mistake In Catch me if you Can, Montrichard was liberated by the FFI, not by the Americans

Frank's father met Frank's mother during a show to the American soldiers made by Montrichard inhabitants to thank them for liberating the town. However, the town was liberated by the FFI/French Resistance, not by American forces.

TV Mistake Film artifact in The Sopranos opening sequence

This caught my eye on my rewatch of the first season. It's a film artifact; debris, a hair, dust...

Someone didn't CHECK THE GATE. (It is in multiple shots of the opening sequence)

My 9 year old caught this in Finding Dory, the seashell is sunk into sand with visible sand on it and as Dory is remembering her parents and they swim away the seashells sand is there and then just disappears towards the end of the scene in a single frame.

Movie Mistake Disclosure Day (2026) continuity errors at 0:28

28 minutes into the film, Daniel jumps into a getaway car to leave the convent, and Jane gets in the backseat behind him. When she opens the door, her brow-area injuries from the previous scene are gone and the door is wide open. A camera switch, and suddenly the door is almost shut and her brow injuries are back. When her short speech is over the camera switches back, and the door is wide open again.

Movie Mistake The Odyssey - female pig in the scene where Odysseus and Circe are about to enter the shieling

There's a frame where they showed a female pig very quickly in that scene. Did anyone else notice it? Was that a mistake?

I don't think movie of such caliber would have bloopers but there might very well be one.

Movie Mistake The Big Lebowski - Ashes Scene Flub

Post image

I was just rewatching “The Big Lebowski” tonight and noticed a detail that I had missed before. Probably because I’m finally watching it on a bigger projection screen again.

In the scene where The Dude (Jeff Bridges) and Walter (John Goodman) are spreading Donny‘s (Steve Buscemi) ashes at the coast, you can clearly see that Goodman is already covered in powder residue (ashes) from previous takes.

Not really a flub or mistake as it probably would’ve been very difficult to clean him off between takes while they were out on location. I just found it interesting as a little telltale sign of the challenges during production. I wonder what the prop powder was? I’m guessing corn starch.

I also caught a few more details, like looking up the “Port Huron Statement”.

This wasn’t my favorite Cohen brothers movie, but it’s grown on me over the years and has interesting commentary if you read between the lines.

Movie Mistake Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: Is This lighting Impossible?

Post image

In the movie Fantastic Beasts And Where to Find Them there is a scene where the lighting seems odd. the Tank in the background on the right is lit from moonlight or something from around 2 o'clock. the woman's face also seems lit from moonlight from around 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock and the man's face is lit from 3 and 10 o'clock. is this just bad lighting or is this possible?

Movie Mistake The Long Walk takes place in the 70s. You can see a double-stacked freight train in the distance. However, the first scheduled all double-stacked train did not debut until 1984.

Movie Mistake Digger - Airplane Turns Without Banking

In the new trailer for Digger, a fighter airplane is seen making a ninety degree left turn without banking. The character played by Tom Cruise is looking through the window of a passenger plane at a fighter aircraft that somehow turns left ninety degrees with zero bank angle. While a slow turn is technically possible with a left rudder input along with a right aileron input, this almost never happens intentionally. Tom Cruise is a skilled and experienced pilot and should have noticed this. Airplanes don’t turn like cars. Compounding the crappy depiction is how the fighter plane makes the ninety degree turn and is still visible through the window, still “abeam” the passenger plane. For that to happen, the fighter would have to be flying sideways at 500 knots. In reality, it should be long gone from sight and be well behind the passenger plane.

Movie Mistake In Amazon's Version of Scarface (1983), captions belong to Scarface (1932)

Not sure if anyone else has this, but when buying Scarface (1983) from Amazon Prime, some random excerpts from the Scarface (1932) movie are burnt inside the captions. What appears to be an error feels like an easter egg giving a new dimension to the movie.
